Michelangel0Participant
Is a different game than Freespace 1 and 2, and faster and visually amazing for VR, one of the best looking games.
I’ve already played 9 hours and only the Single Player Campaign on Veteran difficulty, I didn’t finished it yet but I think I’m close.
I will try later the Fleet Battles and later the Multiplayer parts.
Michelangel0ParticipantIn my case I loved it, I’m about to finish the single player campaing and the missions are awesome.
Also no issues in performance for VR. The trick is to set the NOVR options to the minimum, because that is for the monitor screen and all the VR Settings to whatever you want.
Incredible battles and some euphoric moments.
It is more arcade than the oldskool sims but still is an awesome experience in VR.
There are certain locations that are really mindblowing and mixed with the sense of scale on big ships combats.Aug 29, 2020 at 4:19am in reply to: please make a profile for “remedy” and “quantic dream” games! #196769Michelangel0ParticipantI just tried control on DX11 and it seems to work with Geometry 3D out of the box, there is an official VorpX profile on the cloud if you check it.
But, I´m still configuring the game for better performance.
You should try it as well or anyone interested.
I will check if this works also with DX12
Michelangel0ParticipantI just came here to confirm that I saw it working at some point but it later never worked in G3D anymore.
Not sure why but I was recording it and it was working at that point:
Michelangel0ParticipantI will contact you to use the Beta.
Michelangel0ParticipantI’m close to seventy years old and this game is Mario64 of VR. This game covers everything Graphics, Sound, Resource Management, Shooting, searching for objects and story. I own six different headset and works with all of them and also it was free. I can’t say enough about how good the game was.
Ressssspect!!
And yesssss the artistic part of the game is another joy in VR, the sense of scale fits is so amazing in those locations, the last level gave me serious chills.
Michelangel0ParticipantI strongly fall into the latter category, but still couldn’t really warm up to the game ultimately. I played a bit more after several of you guys said two or three hours aren’t enough, and it got definitely better, but in the end I stopped being halfway through or so. Maybe just me getting old. Admittedly it’s becoming increasingly hard these days to get enthusiastic enough about any game to call it a 10/10.
Enjoy your ride though guys, don’t let a grumpy old man distract you. :) At least that way I have more time for vorpX.
Come back again after you finished it completely :)
Michelangel0ParticipantI finished it and I absolutely loved it, it was the best game I ever experienced, it was so intense, clever, fun and full of surprises. That ending !!! it was a total shock… and I was there!!
I was suprised on Way too many situations while playing and by the time I finished it, It was euphoric.
a…mazingMichelangel0ParticipantI’m at the hotel also hahahah there are many things that you discover by playing curiosly and paying attention. The guards have gas pack that you can kill in one shot and the entire sequence is brilliant, you can cover your mouth to protect from gas in certain moments, you can not only draw freely in some windows like the one starting but also you can play the piano, all the sub game moves of the gloves are amazing pulling a magazine remotely during the shootouts and reload hahah…. so far incredible
Sometimes I’m feeling like a tourist taking pictures with SteamVR hahhahahMichelangel0ParticipantI’m in love with Half Life: Alyx, but I’m only 7 hours of gameplay, the only thing I have to strongly recommend is to provide an opinion after finishing the game because is a Valve game and they create this flow in their games, just let the game surprises you, it does start like that and builds up in a gradual pace.
I have uploaded a couple of videos on my channel, here are some few shots action: https://youtu.be/bsJucqJrvvg
Michelangel0ParticipantThat issue will finally be gone with the next vorpX. For now please change the resolution without vorpX running.
In my case is the only game that VorpX doesn’t hook at all, any additional tip that I should check?
I disabled ESET antivirus for this, of course.
Michelangel0ParticipantBought the game the first minute it went on sale.
Vive Pro ready to meet G-man hehehehe
Michelangel0ParticipantVorpX is not a magical program.
It adds some video effects to gaing 3D depth and visual improvements. What you are asking is VR control support on games that were not even made for VR, so that is impossible from VorpX. You should ask for VR support in the game’s forums so the Developers read and add those features by using a patch or a new game with VR.That is why you can see those VR Support thread requests on Steam on different games, join the others to express your voice so more VR Games are released :)
Michelangel0ParticipantDo not use MPC-HC. Download PotPlayer 64bit this is a more advanced an updated player, it not only supports 3D movies but also it renders subtitles in STEREO correctly to watch 3d movies in VR.
Michelangel0ParticipantCongrats!!!
Bioshock is something unique in gaming, what a joy to feel that you are inside that exotic scifi world -
