ParticipantAmazing news Ralf, I just posted about this on the Pimax forums: https://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/vorpx-adds-support-for-pimax-with-the-new-19-1-1-version/17509 , i think that after being so outspoken against Pimax and Vorpx previously, I owed you a positive post now that it’s working great for me.

ParticipantAfter more testing, seems that having 3d vision on could be the culprit. I’ve disabled it and things are better now, for example Bioshock 1 and Oblivion are perfectly playable, Bioshock Infinite is a lot better (it has some weird blinks though), Stanley Parable looks good too, only Dear Esther seems to be unplayable with some weird stutters.
Still have more testing to do, but since turning 3d vision off is seems to work better now, it looks to me that since us 3d vision users are so few, very few people may be encountering this problem at all.

ParticipantI think I was too optimistic with Vorpx, Bioshock Infinite intro played really well, but once you get on the lift things start looking really wrong with terrible aliasing and low performance, also water is broken, I don’t know if SS is not kicking properly or what not, but right now I can’t recommend it.
Also I just tried Portal and it’s terrible, 0,5 PiTool render, SS on, 64 hz, low fov, still an unplayable mess on geo3d with terrible stutter, so sadly avoid Vorpx if you have a Pimax headset.

ParticipantI’ll check the FOV slider and see if it works better since I didn’t try it my bad, so happy to be back on the Vorpx camp, there’re a ton of games I want to try now :)

ParticipantA pity, I should be recieving my Pimax 8k next week and I wanted to make a full Bioshock franchise rerun with Vorpx, I suppose I’ll skip to Bioshock Infinite.
BTW I have requested a new key, I had problems to install PiTool and had to reinstall Windows so lost my Vorpx installation (details here if curious: http://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/tried-to-install-pitool-latest-version-getting-openssl-error/9318 )
Thanks for the sustained support for Vorpx though, I just read in the Pimax forums a guy that tried Dying Light with Vorpx and 8k and was annoyed because the head tracking was extremely sensitive, and I told him to adjust the mouse sensitivity and use Vorpx config app, I’m still surprised that so many people pay $40 but don’t give it a minute to learn how to config games.

ParticipantGreat update Ralf! So how about Bioshock 2 now, is it working, or did the Remastered version got fixed?

ParticipantHi Ralf, so since there have been several releases already, does Bioshock 2 HD now work properly with Vorpx?
moarveer
ParticipantObligatory thanks for your incredible work RJK, keep it up!

ParticipantI see that Thief Gold has a 3d vision fix on helixmod, any chance to get a Vorpx profile for this?

ParticipantGreat news to hear that HD versions will be supported with possibly no more crashes, can’t wait for the update.

ParticipantJust wanted to say huge thanks to RJK_ for your incredible job here, keep up with the amazing work!

ParticipantSame thing here, any attempt to run it on g3d is instant crash, it only works on z3d but it looks bad, a pity since bioshock 1 was incredible in g3d.
moarveer
ParticipantThat’s amazing to hear, I can’t wait!

ParticipantYeah I was wondering the same, hopefully we get the update before the end of the year at least, so any news?
