OgrescarParticipantCloud profiles aren’t gone. You must be filtering the list somehow.
OgrescarParticipantSo I guess the Windows10Edition in Oculus is the same as the bedrock edition? Not sure, but I can tell it’s dx11, not java.
I launched it an immediately got an error though. Probably my issue.

OgrescarParticipantI think a vorpx launcher would be preferable to the auto-hook mechanism, but you’d have to ask Ralf about that. You can “force” a game to hook with a hook helper, but they’re specific to the graphics api that the game uses, and all games aren’t compatible so there’s no guarantee that it will hook, even with a helper.
OgrescarParticipantI read somewhere that it requires dx12fl11. If that’s the case there are only 4 profiles that may work – Cyberpunk2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Death Stranding. That’s assuming there isn’t something else blocking the hook, like an anti-cheat system.
OgrescarParticipantI don’t think this is something new. When you alt-tab away from a game it will release the graphics device and reacquire it when you tab back. Vorpx, in turn, has to release it’s hook and reacquire it, which doesn’t always work as intended.
You can try running in windowed mode instead of fullscreen or vice versa – it might make a difference. If you need to run a script, as a workaround, you can set a shortcut key in windows 10 or use a 3rd party hotkey utility.
OgrescarParticipantI tried setting up the game with superdepth3d, but even with msaa disabled, it doesn’t have a usable depth buffer. Maybe g3d is still possible, but I’d say it’s a long shot.
OgrescarParticipantActually, I don’t think the window pops up sometimes until a game is closing, so rather than not disappearing, it appears and then disappears on game close. Anyway, it’s just a minor annoyance.
OgrescarParticipantThe window does not always disappear after the first frame has been rendered. I’ve seen it still there on game shutdown numerous times. It’s minor, doesn’t affect anything, and closes after a second or two.
OgrescarParticipantAFAIK, vorpx overrides supersampling set in OTT. Not sure about other settings.
OgrescarParticipantHrm…, well I dug up a copy of the game and tried it with the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-reckoning (Z3D) profile from the cloud and got z3d with it. Maybe you want to try that.
OgrescarParticipantI was reading the latest patch notes and noticed that they “Removed the memory_pool_budgets.csv file. which was not connected with the final version of the game and had no influence on it”.
So, for you guys claiming that editing the file improved performance, it didn’t.
OgrescarParticipantThanks. I always wondered why that profile was there in the first place.
OgrescarParticipantUnreal engine profiles (e.g. Conan Exiles) appear to do G3D if you crank the strength up to max. I’d look more into it if I actually planned on playing the game (not one to turn down a freebie).
OgrescarParticipantYou can use the Ori and the Blind Forest profile. It’ll need the hud fixed up a bit, but works well.
