    looks like this guy has Escape from Tarkov running with vorpx. To bypass the anti-cheat it must be run in vorpx desktop viewer mode, for now…

    Update : Fixed!

    It was one of the anti-alaising options. Guess I’m not that experienced after all!

    Thanks for the pointers… it’s great to have a community to fall back on from time to time.

    Kinda stuck… has nobody got anything to suggest? No 3D effect on a major supported title… surely there’s some love out there for this!

    Update : Still no joy. I forgot to say I’m using a CV1.

    Thanks Steph12 for chiming in.

    I don’t think I’m having the same issue as wolfh. I’ve looked through the forums and can’t see a match for this problem.

    Has anyone experienced no 3D in RDR2 with vorpX? Does anyone have any ideas how to troubleshoot?

    Hi. Let’s have a look at what could be going wrong for you. It’s totally worth the effort… vorpX is a phenomenally good program.

    Firstly, can I ask what hardware you’re running? Which headset / graphics card etc.

    And you’re trying to run which game? From Steam, I suppose?

    Let me know and we’ll take it from there.

    Missing ‘;’ on Line 9 :

    float fov = vpxApiGetCameraFov();

    (only kidding… just want to be able to say on my deathbed that I once debugged VorpX code).

    Fix a retractable dog-walking lead to the ceiling by the handle directly above where you sit. Run the HDMI cable thorugh the metal hook that’s supposed to go on the dog’s collar. The cable will now be pulled up and out of the way when not in use and extend when you need it to.

    Go one step further and thread the HDMI cable through a ring at some halfway height between the computer and the dog lead, 100cm to the left or right of your sitting position. The cable will now never touch you.

    Hadn’t thought of cleaning the lenses. Good call.

    It’s totally worth the pain you’re going through… you’re probably very close to getting it to work.

    Are you running a modded Skyrim? The freezing during the intro might be because you’re running incompatible mods. Disable them all and try again. Mods can persist if you don’t manually clean out the steamapps/common/Skyrim folder after uninstalling.

    You should only have Steam, Oculus Home and vorpX running… check this forum for details of programs you may have running in the background that interfere with vorpX’s ability to hook into games.

    If you’re getting similar results with all supported titles then it does sound like solving this one conflict problem is key.

    It’s worth the effort!

    Thanks to the developer for coming back so quickly on this issue.

    @Bruce; we’ll find a solution to this… let’s keep at it.

    Maybe if anyone else is getting this attaching error they could chime in.

    Same error here with Rise of the Tomb Raider (v1.0 build 813.4_64; Steam). Hangs at ‘Attaching to ROTTR.exe / This takes quite a while…’.

    The title launcher appears first with the vorpX ‘Attaching to ROTTR.exe’ window a few seconds later (with the ‘exclude/close/do nothing’ options appearing sixty seconds later).

    Headset is stuck with the null loading window stating ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider / Loading…’ and the game icon in the bottom left.

    I was anticipating this title to be work without having to use the built-in stereoscopic SBS option in conjunction with vorpX desktop viewer.

    Tried importing cloud profile, manually adding to exclude list (doesn’t give the error but doesn’t hook either), adding steamapps folder to Windows Defender exclusions (vorpX is already there as the config app was flagged as virus with the 17.3 Witcher hotfix), running vorpX as admin, creating vorpX shortcut and adding ‘-nolauncher’ option. There’s no injection conflict processes that I can see.

    There was some noise at release about the title needing dxgi files deleted from install directory to work… worth mentioning.

    17.3 working very well otherwise.

    Start with a fresh install of Skyrim SE without mods… you can add them one at a time later (and see if any break the game). Don’t worry about how far you’ve progressed with your current character… you’ll want to play it all again in VR.

    The original Skyrim textures look better in the Rift than the Special Edition and the frame-rate is better. Personally I’d buy and use the original.

    Adjust your expectations of a Skyrim/VorpX game-world looking as crisp and clean as the Touch Tutorial. A native VR app will always have better graphical fidelity than a non-native app retrofitted to work in VR. The Skyrim/VorpX experience is wonderful though and well worth the effort.

    Run the game without VorpX to get through the Options (start with medium graphics at first) and the introduction sequence Check gamepad X/Y and any other settings you might want (have a look at the forum posts for details), then create a save and exit.

    Change the resolution to a VorpX-friendly 1920×1440 in /User/Documents/MyGames/Skyrim/SkyrimPerfs.ini -> ‘iSize H=1440’ and ‘iSize W=1920’.

    Launch Steam, Oculus Home and VorpX. Import the new cloud profile if you’re still using Skyrim SE (https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/skyrim-special-edition-profile-update-111027/).

    Launch Skyrim (but don’t change the graphics options as this will overwrite your ini) and load your save game.

    When you’re in-world start the DirectVR scan (ALT+L) and maybe recentre your headset (ALT+Space).

    How’s that? You should be correctly oriented, able to use the gamepad to move, use your head position to view and if you squint a bit the HUD is visible (middle-mouse button for edge-peek mode gets round this for now… mods will take care of the HUD later).

    tl;dr Get the basic mechanics working in VR via VorpX first. Then tinker with specific problems and mod to your hearts content.

    Is there anything in Nvidia Control Panel / GeForce Exprerience that will allow you to explicitly select the GPU for specific applications?

    Is there anything in your BIOS for ‘Integrated Graphics Configuration’ that allows the GPU to be forced?

    Do you have the option to right-click the application and select ‘Run with graphics processor’?

    As Ralf points out in his thorough and informative replies, your GPU is unsupported by Oculus. Even though you’re getting somewhere with the Rift it’s likely your PC architecture that stops VorpX from hooking. This isn’t VorpX’s fault.

    Importing user Cloud Profiles for both ‘Alien Isolation’ and ‘Bioshock Infinite’ gives no new entry (blue or otherwise) in the Local list.

    I do have some user Cloud Profiles that have successfully appeared in blue in the Local list, ‘Enderal’ and ‘Resident Evil 7’ for example.

    Imported Cloud Profiles don’t always appear in the Local Profiles list for me (even when the dialogue box says ‘successful’). Sometimes the profile appears in blue in the Local list, sometimes not.

    Maybe OP has same problem? Try importing some different titles from Cloud and see if they appear in the Local list.

    You might not be able to gain the Profile you want but at least you’ll be a bit closer to understanding why not.

    Uninstall VorpX, reboot and re-install by right-clicking VorpX_WebSetup.exe (or whatever your setup file is called) and choosing ‘Run as Administrator’.

    Might help if you are logged in to Windows as an Adminstrator (not Local User).

    There’s a lot to be learned from Googling the errors that you quote, though…
