KeymasterYou can apply a sharpening filter to the final image in the vorpX menu, which in Oculus/SteamVR mode accidentally was also applied to the depth buffer used for Z3D stereo creation. Now the sharpening only gets applied to the final image as it is supposed to.

KeymasterIf you are on Windows 10, you can simply uninstall it. Doing so will enable Windows Defender, which in recent tests is as good, if not better, as the best third party AV programs without being as invasive as some others.
With Windows Defender there is less risk of false positive detections in regard to vorpX, and in case it does still happen Microsoft at least reacts reasonably fast and reliable when they are made aware of it.

KeymasterIt’s planned to show this info on the ‘Local Pofiles’ page of the config app alongside with any comments that might have been added whwn a profile was uploaded. One of those things that have been pushed back a few times already because there always seems to be something more inportant. Won’t make into the next release, but I promise to do it early next year.

KeymasterNo problem, glad this is solved.

KeymasterIf you aren’t opposed to using the Epic Store, my personal top recommendation as far as new profiles for the next vorpX are concerned is Control (G3D/Z3D). Great game.
There will also be an official Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order profile (G3D/Z3D), Remnants from the Ashes (Z3D) will be added, and and if you like racing games, F1 2019 (G3D/Z3D) is worth a look.
And if by any chance 4X strategy with vorpX sounds appealing to you, get Civilization V (sic!). After only about five years or so on my internal ‘I-should-really-do-this-sometime’-list I finally implemented some DX9 compatibility improvements that allow G3D for the game. Looks absolutely awesome on the cinema screen.
vorpX 20.1.0 will be out either tomorrow or on Chrsitmas Eve, there still is a bit of profile fine tuning work to do.

KeymasterWhile personally I also consider this one of vorpX’s most useful features, it’s unfortunately probably also its most underused.
I have overhauling it on the nice-to-have list for a long time, but the (apparently at least) lack of general interest in the feature makes it a difficult to decision to spend time on it. It’s not forgotten though, so maybe at some point I will get to it again.

KeymasterJust a heads-up that using vorpX with dgVoodoo2 may result in a black screen with the current vorpX release. Will be fixed with the next vorpX update 20.1.0 in a few days.

KeymasterI tested the game for you yesterday. Unfortunately I can not replicate your issue, G3D works perfectly fine. Also no other reports of something like this.
If you changed any vorpX settings, please try to reset the profile to default in the config app (‘Local Profiles’ page).
And just in case: if you happen to use a non-Steam version of the game, please use the Steam version.

KeymastervorpX has no native DX8 support, but it has a profile for the dgVoodoo2 wrapper. No guarantee that it will work, but for some DX8 games it does. If it works, this method provides full G3D.
First you will have to download the dgVoodoo2 wrapper and isntall it by copying its DX8 DLL to your game folder.
Then you can create a custom profile:
1. Open the config app
2. Go to the “Local Profiles” page
3. Scroll down to the “dgVoodoo2” profile and make a copy of it.
4. Assign your game’s main .exe to the new profile. If that generally works, you can then use vorpX’s shader authoring to deal with potential glitches if necessary. A short introduction to that can be found in the vorpX help.

KeymasterThe judder issue in FS2019 is related to the Steam overlay as I incidentally found out a few days ago. Neither vorpX’s default blocking method nor disabling it is enough though, the overlay has to be blocked the hard way. vorpX will handle that automatically in the next version.
For now navigate to your Steam folder and rename or delete GameOverlayRenderer64.dll after starting Steam. You will have to do that every time you launch Steam since it replaces the DLL on launch if it is missing.

Keymasterif you still have problems with the forum, it’s probably best to contact the authors of the forum software. It’s a quite popular WordPress plugin named bbPress (bbpress.org). They had a major update earlier this year, so maybe there are still some things to iron out.
Ralf
KeymasterI’m pretty sure I replied to your mail. IIRC you mentioned that you already disabled your antivirus, but this issue is almost certainly related to your AV program. if you use anything else than Windows Defender, try to uninstall it for testing.
Some AV programs make it rather difficult for their users to fully disable them, just disabling the scanner may not be enough.

KeymasterLast time I checked it was. I’ll check it before the next release to see whether something has changed.
BTW: It would be nice if you could check which sub forum your questions fit best into and then post there. That helps to keep the forum usable for yourself as well as others. Thanks again!
Edit: Just checked it, it’s still really G3D.

KeymastervorpX does not change the sound device when you uncheck this option.
SteamVR and Oculus however do this also. In case of SteamVR you can disable it in the SteamVR options IIRC.
