I’m still not sure whether I understand the problem. If a game does not show two similar images side by side but instead is displayed like on a normal monitor, vorpX did not hook into the game at all. vorpX is only working when two circular and lens-warped images are visible.

If that is not the case for multiple games, please check the trouble shooting guide in the help. Among other things it lists possible causes for vorpX not hooking into games. The most likely cause is that a program is running that interferes with vorpX.

The installer does a version check to avoid installing an older runtime, but since Oculus changed the location where the version info is stored with the 0.4.3 runtime this check fails in some cases currently. Will work correctly again soon.

Neither Watch Dogs nor 7 Days to Die were ever tried here. While vorpX tries to hook any DX9-11 game, there are no guarantees that this works without a profile for the game.

IIRC I read about someone who had Watch Dogs running with vorpX some time ago though, so this one should work. For Ubisoft games it makes always sense to disable the Uplay overlay. Some games definitely refuse to hook otherwise.

You can find a (slightly outdated) list with supported games here:

Can you post a screenshot (for example done with FRAPS) or a photo from inside the Rift? If it’s not an IPD issue, I’m not sure whether I understand your problem.

When you start a game while vorpX is running it normally opens in Rift mode (two distorted images side by side). If it dosn’t open in Rift mode, vorpX did not hook, hence no ingame menu.

If you have this issue with multiple games, please check the trouble shooting guide in the help. The most likely cause for something like this is that some other program is running that interferes with vorpX. The guide lists a few types of programs that might cause conflicts and has a few hints in addition to that.

Not ideal, but you can use vorpX entirely without the config app BTW. Just make sure to set the Rift as primary display in that case. Opening games on the secondary monitor is the only basic setting that can’t be set ingame. Almost everything else can br adjusted in the vorpX ingame menu.

Positional tracking will be user unlockable in every Geometry 3D game.

Those that have been tested and found working well with pos tracking have it enabled per default. For all other Geometry 3D games there is an unlock option in the ingame menu when expert settings are enabled.

That’s the best of both worlds: only validated and glitch free games have it enabled, but expert users are still free to experiment.

Titanfall is… difficult. Probably only 2D-mode will be possible, which should already work without a profile.

vorpX does not work on the desktop, so that is normal.

If you have difficulties converging in games that inject properly (show two images side by side), please check the following things:

    1. Make sure to run every game at 1920×1080 fullscreen (DK2).
    2. Do not use an Oculus profile in the vorpX config app, instead
    3. Adjust your IPD (interpupillary distance) manually.

The latter can either be done in the config app or with direct feedback on the display page of the vorpX ingame menu.

You can activate a single license on two PCs, provided both are yours. You cannot share a license with someone else, but you can activate it for example on your desktopn and your laptop.

If you thoroughly checked ALL things from the trouble shooting guide in the help, please send a mail with your system specs (plus ideally a dxdiag.txt, which can be created with the Microsoft dxdiag tool), and most importantly a screenshot of your task manager showing all running processes to support |at| vorpx com. Maybe we can spot something potentially interfering that you overlooked.

First and foremost please check for special graphics driver addons. Many graphics cards vendors have such tools.

If you have similar hooking issues with multiple games, there is a high probability that something on your PC interferes with vorpX. This might be a virus scanner, anything that can show content over games (for example chat programs like Skype, Mumble, X-Fire, Evolve etc.), or display driver add-on like Optimus, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner etc. Please disable/uninstall all such programs temporarily.

The trouble shooting guide in the help has a more detailed list of what you should look into in this regard.

Unfortunately not all cases are obvious. There are many programs that also hook into other processes, which always may be the cause of a conflict.

You normally can adjust the IPD with the left/right arrows right to the IPD value on the display page of the ingame menu. They should be clickable. If that does not work for some reason, you can also navigate and use the vorpX ingame menu with the cursor keys.
