RalfKeymasterYou can pause or exit vorpX from its tray icon’s right click menu. If you cant see the tray icon, click the small arrow left of your clock.
BTW: Basics like this are explained in the ‘Quickstart Guide’ and the ‘Essential Hints’ in the vorpX help.

RalfKeymasterIn general it’s always better if vorpX can actually hook into the game itself, that way it can do a lot more. However, in cases where that doesn’t work for some reason, you can use the vorpX desktop viewer. The only caveat here is that you have to run games windowed or borderless fullscreen when you want to use the desktop viewer. Most newer games have a borderless option in their video settings.
Also makes sense to pause the vorpX watcher from the tray icon’s right click menu after launching the desktop viewer to ensure that vorpX doesn’t even try to hook into games you launch.

RalfKeymasterGuys, before this becomes a Tridef support thread: please stay on topic, thanks. There are other places for in-depth Tridef discussions.
RalfKeymasterKeep in mind that rendering games for VR costs at least 50% performance compared to playing them on your monitor since each frame has to be rendered twice, once for each eye. Depending on the game engine it can be even be more than that. Also the larger field of view can cost performance since more stuff has to be drawn. And on top of all that there is another small performance hit (about 10%) for rendering to the headset.
If a game doesn’t run fast enough, consider reducing graphics details in the game options and/or switching to Z3D in the vorpX menu. Z3D only renders one image per frame and then applies a post process 3d effect afterwards, which is a lot faster.
RalfKeymasterUsually custom resolutions are only wiped when you wipe settings during driver updates, a normal driver update leaves them intact. There is a little backup tool though that helps in case you want to do a full driver install or the resolutions are wiprd for some other reason:

RalfKeymasterNo problem here with the game and a Reverb G2 here in OpenXR mode. Since apparently you already checked for conflicting programs, pretty much the only thing left to recommend is trying to run it windowed. Sometimes that can help with weird issues.
RalfKeymasterDid you go through the entire trouble shooting guide on the top of this sub forum? Issues like this may be caused by other programs also hooking into games.
Not entirely sure what you mean by ‘running it from the Steam desktop’, but if that means running it from inside the VR headset using the Steam VR theater, please don’t do that. Instead launch it normally from the Windows desktop.
RalfKeymasterThere is a Farming Simulator 22 profile since the last vorpX update, should work out of the box.
RalfKeymasterGlad you liked it.

RalfKeymaster@ Lewy: The SBS 3D output is an unsupported goodie for users who wated to try that. The message in that respect that is shown each time you launch a game in SBS 3D mode is there for a reason.
I understand that the recent developments regarding S3D gaming are very frustrating, but unfortunately I have more than enough on my plate with VR. vorpX was never and will never be intended for S3D gaming. Sorry again. :(
RalfKeymaster@ 3oxis:
Never tried that TBH, but I’ll take a look at it.
@ Raph129:
Thanks for heads-up. I uploaded a new installer with the latest CET included.

RalfKeymasterlike said above vorpX is built for VR and that will stay its main focus. Consider the SBS 3D output a more or less unsupported goodie. It was requested quite a few times by users and thus it was added at some point, but unfortunately I just don’t have enough time to make it a priority. :(
RalfKeymasterNot sure if that’s related to your issue, but with some luck it is: SteamVR is only the second best option for Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Instead select OpenXR on the General page of the vorpX config app.
Caveat: unfortunately SteamVR tries to make itself your system’s OpenXR runtime each time it starts. That’s complete nonsense for WMR headsets, which have native OpenXR support. If the WMR portal complains on launch that it’s not set OpenXR runtime hit the ‘Repair’ button to make sure OpenXR works natively. SteamVR shouldn’t run at all when using vorpX in OpenXR mode with your G2.
RalfKeymasterYour e-mail didn’t include the code that is required to compute your key.
Please SEND THE REQUEST CODE that is shown in the dialog that pops up when you launch vorpX. This code is required to create your key.
RalfKeymasterNo problem here, just checked it. Also no other reports like this. The last game update was about 10 days ago and the VR mod has been updated the same day. Please make sure that both the mod and Cyberpunk are updated to the latest versions.
If that does not help, check whether you maybe have another mod installed that might potentially interfere, e.g. a Reshade mod would also hook into the game and cause a conflict.
