    Found a silly soultion.
Press right click on vorpX icon — > Pause

Then I start the game and after 3 sec when i see the ArmA3 logo loading screen i press agai on the vorpX icon –> Resume.

its working fine but i feel im a bit “to close” and cant use the zoom in/out with the DK2. I’ve tried OpenTrack but it doset seems to have the effect.
Hope maybe i can get an aswer for that aswell.

After 15 min ~ of playing game crashes.

Will be happy to get any other soultion.
    Tnx

    Hello,

I’m tring to run arma 3 but it crashes.
The problem seems to be VorpX since without it the game works fine.

I’ve got the latest virsion of vorpX, OpenTrack 2.3, and the DK2.

    My pc:
    I5 4690K
    nvidia 980ti
    32gb ram

I’ve read previous posts about arma 3 crashing and nothing of them helped me.

    Please help me guys,
    Tnx,
    Orev.

Nvidia 3D vision comparability mode relies on the z-buffer (I’m assuming if this works the same way as Carmack’s frame interpolation for oculus) and the final picture so it will work on pretty much anything that has a z-buffer.

Whereas normal 3d mode requires every single shader to work. A much bigger pain in the ass. Is there something from this worth exploiting to get more game support?

    Hi Ralf,

I’ve done a clean install, default settings and everything you stated, but after a while (normally less that 15 minutes of playing) the image on the oculus freezes and when I check the desktop, it says “Arma 3 has stopped responding” or something similar. This is 0.8.0 runtime with no Opentrack.

I was playing the Marksman DLC showcase. One time I managed to get about 15 minutes in and it crashed on Save and Exit, but all other times it’s been before that.

Steps to reproduce are: launch Vorpx, launch Arma via the default launcher. Play the Marksman DLC showcase.

System specs: I7 6700K, GTX980ti, Windows 10 64 bit home edition. All overlays disabled and no overclocking. If you need any more information, please let me know.

    Hi,

I’ve got Arma 3 working with Vorpx very nicely, looks great and with Opentrack, the headtracking is brilliant. The trouble is, I can’t keep the game running longer than 10-15 minutes without it going unresponsive and crashing. If it’s a problem that only I am having then I will try to find a solution but so far I’ve tried it in both Windows 8.1 and 10, modded and clean, overclocked and not, without any success.

Has anybody got Arma 3 to work consistently with Vorpx?

This is with latest oculus drivers and latest Vorpx, but also tested with Oculus runtime 7.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
i’ve player around with some settings an now its a little bit better but still with issues. Is it possible for someone who got it to work, to send me (gagagu@web.de) the following config files so i can check what wrong?

    C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Arma 3\Arma3.cfg
    C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Arma 3\<arma_player_name>.Arma3Profile
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\opentrack-2.3\arma3.ini (your ini file for arma)
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Animation Labs\vorpX\Profiles\arma3.exe.user.ini

This would be really great, thx forward.

Ever since the newest iteration of VORPX released I have been going through a few of my old games and came across Bulletstorm. I had shelved this one years ago, because when it came out it ran like crap! Well, now I’m glad I did… This game looks great using VORPX but will require some advanced tweaking to get working. Here is the process I used:

    1) Grab a copy of the Bulletstorm INI editor and run as admin ( The INI’s are encrypted) http://games.softpedia.com/get/Tools/Bulletstorm-INI-Editor.shtml

    2) Edit both the StormCamera and Storm Engine INI’s. Set the FOV in storm camera to 120. Set the resx and resy lines in the Stormengine INI to 1920×1080. (The files are located in C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\My Games\BulletStorm\StormGame\Config)

    3) Rename the games main executable to Arma2.exe (this will get you G3d mode, but without positional unfortunately)

    4) Run the game and use the DEL key to open the VORPX menu. Once there change the 3d separation to 110 and then in the next tab set to Pixel 1:1 with the zoom set at 89. when done slide to the next tab and set the headtracking strength to 45.

    5) lastly, go into the games option and under the controls tab set the sensitivity slider almost all the way down. uncheck both Aim assist and Aim lock.

    6) Play the game.

Now I will caution players who don’t have strong VR legs yet to be careful with this one! There are a lot of cutscenes and forced head movements at times, so this one might be more for the battle hardened VR Vets like myself. While it is not a perfect fit for VR at all times, when the actual gameplay starts in this one it is █-0

You need to make sure Arma 3 really has 120 FOV set. That was the problem I had. I used the vorpx in game optimiser and for some reason it didn’t get me the wide FOV with arma 3.

I used this FOV calculator and then edited the correct arma 3 file:

    http://hia3.com/tools/ArmA_3_wide-angle_FOV_calculator_online_by_Hi,A3.htm

    Now the game looks correct.

I cannot get .9 to display with any of my games. I just get a black/blank screen. I can hear game audio (Arma 2 and 3), I get the safety warning, but no video on my DK2 or monitor. Setup is an i5/GTX660/DK2/358.78 driver/Win 8.1/Vorpx .9.

The DK2 test scene works fine, had no issues before the nvidia/sdk/vorpx updates.

on 0.7 none of my bi games would open due to battleye on 0.8, all start and display apart from A3 with the non bi launcher now it works for arma2 and OA this way i use arma launcher by head, it does a2 and a3 you just show the game directory and the game.exe with that I choose the non battleye .exe this should not effect anything as the original launcher uses the same .exe but fires the batteye one instead, in one of the a3 updates a while back it changed from starting arma up and having to enable BE and then restart the game to this way they have battleye start first which caused the rift to not work on 0.7 due to the above dll that was mentioned it sees the rift as a head track cheat device was in the messages I got on screen.

I’ve tested ARMA3 with VorpX 0.9 beta, Oculus runtime 0.8 and the newest Opentrack version. I have some issues in game when i will roll my head. Everything is getting skewed on roll my head in unnormal way. I guess it caused on the newest opentrack version but i really don’t know.
The problem ist when i will sit in a helicopter and rotate my head to the right and then move the head up then the head will move backwards and up (not only up). I think its a gimal lock problem but i don’t really know.
Any ideas what i’m doing wrong?

    Thx forward

I am using O.8, I was just saying O.7 would not open at all now I am on O.8 it starts arma3 now but just has a black display I only see the mouse pointer, when played on the monitor it is fine I have also used a non bi launcher and linked the non battleye.exe to it bypassing the bi crap.
