Furthermore anything looks very strange as if I was playing in 640×360. On my monitor anything is super sharp (3440×1440 resolution) but on my headset (Quest 2) it is so pixelated and blurry.

This is a Vorpx bug that causes the squished and pixelated image occasionally. It can be fixed by cycling between full screen and windowed mode in WOW game menu/system. I created a key binding for full screen for my keyboard in WOW/game menu/key bindings/ miscellaneous, then set a button on my mouse to that key binding. This allows me to fix the bug instantly while playing with the click of my mouse.

Still hoping for a bug fix, can be distracting especially in team dungeon settings.

always do 1440p on rift s , and flatscreen )

That also looks like garbage. That’s even lower than standard Rift S render resolution of 1776p which is already pretty blurry. It starts looking somewhat decent at around 2000p.

Anyone successful with Tunic and 3d Reconstruction?
It is Unity but the base Unity 5 profile is not able to do 3d reconstruction and doesn’t find a z-channel. There must be one since it has build-blur which is usually generated via z-depth(z-channel)
    any Info’s or tries.
It does hook with the the base Unity 5 profile

    thanks in advanced

    Hello fellow Vr homies,
just want to drop a few words out of VR Weltschmerz.
I’m a owner of a HP G2 HMD therefore I’m a bit bound to WMR and Steam.
And I dont know were to start with …
it’s just everytime I find the time to invest some time into VR (~once in a week),
there is a problem takes maybe an hour to fix but the fun is gone.
Good thing VorpX holds it up most of the time ;) doing itz job, thanks to I have now 22 3d Blurays, and a lot of older classic Games i can play in 3d.
But WMR,STEAM,HP its a bit unholy imo.

When running the game, if i am close to someone they are blurry. Like wise I also see double vision when looking at people close up and objects. Medium and long distance is good. Menu, Mini map, and other text based information that appears on the side is out of the view of my vision. so I can’t read it. I can see the box in which we are looking through to see the 3D.

I am currently using a valve index, Vega 64, Ryzen 7 2700x, with 64G of ram and (2) 1 terabyte SSD M.2 drives

Funny how I was able to get VERY smooth Ultra settings at 1920×1080 with ridiculously impressive framerates on my RTX 2060, 16gb RAM laptop.
I switched the Vorpx resolution to Ok-ish and cranked up the in-game quality to Ultra.
I however either reduced or turned off certain features I wouldn’t need:
    Volumetric clouds- OFF
    Volumetric fog- MEDIUM
Motion Blur- This is tricky, because it kinda solves the dizzying, rotating issue but ultimately blurs your weapons. The Mantis blades looked ugly. Anyways, I turned it off.
Now here’s a heads-up: Once you change these settings, RESTART the game & once it loads, give it some 20-30 seconds to fully load and BOOM!
    Worked for me.
    Beautifully.

That aside: I have played so many hours of Cyberpunk myself that I wonder what exactly you can’t see by glancing into the corners. Sure, stuff in the edges is somewhat blurry …

Not sure what to tell ya ..all of our eyes are different. With an IPD of 70 my eyes are already past the edge of what Quest supports so my sweetspot is different. (I’m not sure the “It works for me” approach is a good one when it comes to VR =) )

For me even the map in the corner is a blurred mess. Keep in mind I’m also a Cyberpunk rookie my first playthrough is with this mod. So its even more important for me to know what buttons are written under the items like the health dispense etc.. and I can barely make out the icon, let alone what gun is equipped its all just out of the sweetspot.

I like your name for it “Rubberband UI” but just to be clear, I’m not suggesting you would turn your head and then the ui would catch up to you like a second later.(that would be annoying having it floaty like that) Im thinking it would move and stoo at the same time your head does. It’s just the angle would not be 1:1. Almost like having an invisible picture frame in front of your face that moves a maximum of a few degrees in each direction as you turn your head off center. I guess its more of a “Tethered UI”

I know you hate adding configurable options but I would make it a check box or maybe a value that you can tweak the sensitivity.

That sounds as if something is severely off. You shouldn’t really have to tinker with the settings in the menu aside from changing the resolution for performance/quality tweaking. Leave all other settings alone. Head tracking should work out of the box.

If you happen to have other mods installed, remove them. Mods that affect the game camera in any way may break head tracking with the VR mod.

Best uninstall the VR mod, then (if necessary) remove all other mods and afterwards reinstall the VR mod.

The version number shown in the game window should be alpha 6b

    @ drowhunter:

I’m not much of a fan of the floating HUD approach myself TBH, always find that severely annoying if some native VR game does that. But I’ll tinker a bit with a rubberband approach where the HUD follows your head with some inertia. No promises, but that sounds as if it could be kind of nice and would elegantly solve any issues with glancing into corners.

That aside: I have played so many hours of Cyberpunk myself that I wonder what exactly you can’t see by glancing into the corners. Sure, stuff in the edges is somewhat blurry, but no matter what headset I use, getting information I quickly need like the health status or where I am on the minimap is no problem at all by glncing into corners. And for the (very) few times where a closer look is required, there is indeed EdgePeek.

That said, the rubberband approach still sounds worth a shot. Best of both worlds.

An eventful week for line battle gaming – Holdfast just released it’s free WW1 dlc update, and Battle Cry of Freedom will open it’s free demo week beginning tomorrow until March 1st launch day.

I have already jumped into Holdfast for a little action among the trenches and have put together a vorpX cloud profile for the new update:

    Holdfast: Nations At War & WW1 (G3D)

-For best 3rd & 1st person FullVR FOV combination, create and use a custom square 1:1 resolution:

    1440 x 1440 – performance
    1728 x 1728 – balanced
    1920 x 1920 – quality
    2160 x 2160 + TAA – ultra

(The game performs the best in windowed mode, but only allows to set resolutions as high as your monitor is currently displaying. Before launching the game, I set my desktop resolution to 2160 x 2160, and therefor I am able to choose any of these resolutions in Windowed mode in the game)

-set First-person Camera FOV to 100 in game settings
-Low to Medium settings recommended, with Textures on High
-Shadows = Medium or Off, AA = FXAA, Motion Blur = Off

*all HUD elements can be turned off individually in settings
*assign a hotkey to toggle 1st/3rd person easily
*vorpX Shadow Treatment can toggle off snow textures if desired
*tested on HP Reverb with mouse/keyboard

The profile also works with the updated Nations At War graphics overhaul, although a bit more performance heavy. If for some reason you load into a black screen, try changing the overall graphics setting between Medium and Low. I have fixed most situations this might occur, but it still might happen depending on the map.

I will be installing the Battle Cry of Freedom demo as soon as it is available, and will post a profile as soon as possible for anyone who wants to try the demo this week. Until then, a bit of gameplay:

    Oh man, awesome.
RJk, have you tried Hitman (1,2)3 on its “legit” VR?
It’s kinda clunky and extremely blurry but still, very enjoyable.

Ghost Recon Wildlands + FPS mod (G3D) cloud profile updated 2/5/2022

-clouds, stars, water reflections, and light sources are now correct in stereo (nice!)
-increased 3D strength for more accurate depth and scale
-decreased image zoom a bit for improved image clarity and FOV (better with vehicles)
-TAA motion blur effect now assigned to vorpX Shadow Treatment for toggle options:

Auto = motion blur on static objects/furniture, but clear guns and moving vehicles/NPCs
Turn Off = motion blur on guns and moving vehicles/NPCs, but clear static objects

Or if the slight TAA blur bothers you altogether, you can try the other AA methods in Game Options to see which you prefer.

I have been quite pleased with how the authoring tool (and a bit of patience) has been able to bring this profile together with near flawless G3D. It is very rare that a dx11 game has correct stereo shadows and lighting effects. Now all that remains to fix are decals for wall art and bullet holes (if those are even possible, I’ve always struggled with decals..Ralf?)

Anyway, worth trying out with the mod if you own Wildlands. I prefer the stealthy approach, but as you can see here, it can now play like a Far Cry game if you want:

p.s. oh, I get a crash sometimes when trying to access my loadout menu directly, but I’ve found if I indirectly access it by opening the skills menu first (press J), I can navigate to loadout from there okay.

New First Person Mod for GRW just released this month on nexus, and combined with vorpX G3D fullVR, it is now much more the immersive experience I have been hoping for! (thank you intifofo). See video for gameplay and simple install guide:

I have made some significant improvements to the old GRW profile (terrain textures and shadows are now correct in stereo, woohoo!!) and I’ve tuned it for best use with this first person mod. New profile now on the cloud for any to try:

Ghost Recon Wildlands + FPS mod (G3D) [dellrifter22]

G3D is very performance heavy in GRW, so expect modest settings and resolution with occasional frame dips. These are my recommended settings based on a 2080ti:

Game FOV is affected by aspect ratio, so for best results, create a custom resolution from the following and apply it in game.

    1333 x 1200 – performance (~40 fps)
    1600 x 1440 – balanced (~35 fps)
    1920 x 1728 – quality (~25 fps)
    2400 x 2160 – ultra (Z3D only)
    3200 x 2880

The Game also has internal render scaling in Video Settings that you can adjust up/down to find your own target performance.

    Game Settings:
    – Max Extended FOV to 100% in Video Settings and turn off VSync
    – AA = Temporal AA (adds blur to moving objects, but is the most stable image)
    – Texture Quality and Terrain Quality = High/Ultra
    – Shadow Quality = Medium, Long Range Shadows = On
    – AO = HBAO+, Godrays = On (both optional)
    – Draw Distance/Level of Detail/Vegetation = Low and everything else is OFF
    – Helicopter Controls = Classic in Gameplay settings (enables head rotation)
    – Increase vorpX Sharpen to max 2.00 in Delete Key menu

*HUD visibility is very customizable in Options and can be toggled on/off with hotkey
*AI teammates can be turned off in game settings if you want to run solo
*Performance Z3D is also available if you want more frames/eye candy
*tested on HP Reverb G1 with mouse/keyboard

A few effects that remain unfixed for stereo (distant water reflections, stars, clouds, and rain) have for now been assigned to the vorpX Shadow Treatment menu so that you can toggle them on/off to your preference (Delete key menu, Image Settings page).

One last suggestion to improve stealth gameplay: install the Remove Detection and Hit Sounds mod from nexus and turn the game HUD off. Now your awareness and infiltration skills will be tested.

    The Crew – G3D

    G3D added 1/2022 – cloud profile: The Crew (G3D) [dellrifter22]
**for best FOV ratio compatible with this profile, create one of the following custom resolutions to apply in game:

    Performance: 1390×1440, 1668×1728
    Balanced: 2085×2160
    Quality: 2224×2304, 2780×2880

    Recommended game settings:
-turn off Vsync and set max framerate to 60
-turn off motion blur and depth of field
-set shadows to Low and AA on FXAA
-Geometry on High and Textures on High/Ultra

*HUD and notifications can be turned off in game settings
*vorpX Shadow Treatment can toggle off global illumination for a more realistic overcast lighting
*try Immersive Screen if the fullVR mouse-based headtracking delay bothers you. Hood and bumper cams recommended for fullVR mode.
*tested on HP Reverb with xbox one controller

Unfortunately The Crew 2 forces an always online BattleEye anti-cheat that wont allow vorpX to work. Otherwise that would be a fun one to try too.

Hi, I just tried Horizon Zero Dawn (the default profile), but for some reason textures look really blurry on some object in game? Is there any setting that might be affecting this, or is it just the way it looks in vorpx? Thanks.
