Having same issue. Clean install of everything. only mod is the above cyber-tweaks. I do get the redscript compilation error on startup I which havent been able to fix…

Some strange issues: When moving around in the options screen in actual Cyberpunk, the cursor moves with the left controller movement but I have to select items with the right trigger? Also several initial screens make me push the space bar to continue-

In the game, I cant look around with headset.
Cant move with Vorpx options set to “gamepad”, have to change to keyboard and mouse.
Cant get the screen to fill the full fov, still is semi windowed after trying different settings
I spend about a hour every night trying to get it to work :( I have read through the 60 page thread as well

    I start airlink
Start steam vr, in the oculus headset it puts me into into steam vr room.
    Go to desktop, start Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk opens in a window in the Stream VR room.
Initial Vorpx instructions show up and I can go through the tutorial fine – then push A wont work I have to hit spacebar to go into game. In the game, I can get into the Vorpx options by hold left and squeeze right-

If anyone has any ideas, that would be great!

    One more thing:

It seems that head tracking is not working in virtual desktop. The game (God of War) supports Gamepad and Mouse at the same time and using “classic” VorpX headtracking works good. I want the same in virtual desktop mode. The vorpx settings are there (and switched on), but mouse is not controlled with head movement.

Hi Ralf, I think there is a bug in the Dogtown mission called “I’ve Seen That Face Before”. The player has to hide in the trunk of the car before taking control. At this point the player needs to drive the car to a target location, However, the player viewpoint is stuck within the trunk and it is not possible to switch cameras to see the road so that driving is possible

I had to switch to disable VorpX and switch to normal 2D to complete this mission. When you take control of the car the camera switches automatically to the driving view so that you drive the car to the mission destination. In VorpX the view is stuck inside the trunk of the car

First of all, I love VorpX for what it can do (actually my first purchase after getting my VR Headset). But for the best of it, I cannot play in FullVR mode because I am unable to aim with my head. I can live with a lot of compromises but that’s somehow not working. Then you came up with the incredible idea of having gestures, especially the gun gestures. But still head aiming, now my neck hurts :D

So, I started tinkering with compromises. It is basically a combination of VorpX Desktop Viewer, Reshade and FreePIE. The main idea is to use head aiming when running around (that I can live with), but when entering the gun pose, I detach the view from the head and attach it instead to the controller (That’s where reshade and FreePie come in). So, it is basically like holding a handheld and aiming with the gyro, just larger and better because you can still orientate with your head (despite some blackness around the screen) but aim with your hand. Current drawback: no more 3D.

I have two videos showing this from within the headset and from the full screen.
    HMD View
    Screen

There might be slight distortions, but I hope you can grasp the idea. Maybe this could be integrated into VorpX directly with all its benefits.

Also, make sure the controller mode is set to “Gamepad” in the VorpX delete menu or the rumble won’t work. But, also make sure rumble is enabled in the in-game menu and Steams big picture controller settings.

Hi Ralf, CD Projekt Red has announced another update for Cyberpunk which should arrive very soon. If/when you update the mod, I would like to request/hope you can have fixes for the following: floating markers, Metro (where VR stops working when you board the metro) and enabling motion controllers for VorpX Settings Menu (currently can only use keyboard to change settings)

    Thanks!

I apologize if i’m misunderstanding the issue at hand. But the ergonomically correct position of the virtual screen should be slightly lower than the vertical center of your FOV if you look straight forward.

The reason for this is that a relaxed head position is slightly looking downwards. That’s exactly what desktop ergonomics recommendations have been suggesting for many years now – flatscreen monitor slightly below, and tilted in a way that you’re looking at a perpendicular angle to the screen.

Virtual Desktop has a great solution for this (besides regular “sliders” for vertical and horizontal position). Holding the left grip moves your screen freely with the left controller.

hi, i have a quest 3 and get a black bar at the bottom of screen in Cyberpunk.
This happens with the standalone mod as well as with version 24.1
In the Luke Ross Mod i don’t have this black bar but i like VorpX more, because of the motion controller support.
Aspect ratio correction is at 1:1 and zoom is at the maximum of 0.85. With this setting i have the best result with only one black bar at the bottom. Is there a way to get completely rid of it in VorpX or do i have to resort to the Luke Ross mod for this ?

There’s two D3D8.ini files one in a shader folder and one in the main directory. Change both D3D8.ini files.
The default view is not optimal but according to the SimHQ and CAF this can be manually be changed. Do a search. For me the flickering around the shape I could find a solution.
What is holding up back you FPS, GPU or CPU.
GPU lowering your graphical settings. BTW all my setting in Nvidia are shutdown or application controlled, while power settinyg is max.
CPU, use a less intense crowded air, lesser terrain details like trees or a quiet front.

I must admit, because of the strange blinking effects around the shape of the trees I did stop in playing this game.

Hi, im using a quest 3 through quest link. The game launches, and the tutorial works fine. Only after the turtorial, the game is 2d/flat like a normal screen and it doesnt respond to my quest controllers.

When launching VorpX 24.1.0 from the “Start vorpX” shortcut for the first time in a boot session, all monitors connected to the PC reset to default resolution and DPI.

After closing VorpX Control in the taskbar icons, re-launching the “Start vorpX” shortcut does not change monitor resolution.
So the effect seems to be related to creation of the Virtual Monitor on initial startup.

The monitors can be reset to the preferred resolution and DPI without any issues, and there is no effect on VorpX: it works normally with either default or preferred resolutions.

Seems the program (normal vorpx) can’t/won’t re-apply the Z-Normal setting on a new session. I flip it to DirectVR and back, presto, the UI looks smoother when, well, looking. Moving the camera with the mouse is very smooth, but using the right stick is a little jittery. Just the camera moving I mean, controls seem fine otherwise. It’s probably a game limitation.

It would be nice if we could keep the UI in place while still being able to adjust elements, but I understand if it’s related to the way you hook into the UI and make it work with tracking and such; it seems very similar in GTA: SA. I did play around with turning small things on and off like the head tracking, but then it becomes a game of pick your poison: ghosty UI or ghosty main screen. I’m sure it’s all a very delicate dance behind the scenes.

Anyway, I am pretty much sorted at this point, so thanks, and again, really nice job with this!

Thank you for the wonderful Christmas present!
I’m really looking forward to playing my favorite games with gesture control.
I want to enjoy driving in GTA5, my favorite game from a while ago.
However, when I tried to get out of the car, it stuck to the roof and I couldn’t get out.
I know you are busy, but I would like to ask you to take care of this matter after Ralph’s vacation is over.
