RJK_ParticipantEach profile has an unique id in order not to create a new one on the cloud each time you make changes. I mainly rename a non working profile to something else keeping in mind that it may still work with an older older version of the game though. Best practice should be like: Example: Gothic 7 (old) / Gothic 7 (new). To be on the safe side, add a few lines to your profile explaining for which version of the game it can be used etc.

LVNDSCAPEParticipantI do not see any Option to delete a previous Cloud Profile once i created a updated Version with better G3D Support as a example, compared to a previous Version of a Cloud Profile.
I sure add like V2 to it, but i would feel better, if the old one could be removed as a feature as long as i am the author of that Profile.
Is there a removal by request possibility for this ?

RalfKeymaster@ adzter :
Haven’t checked the game yet, but I will definitely before the next update. Can’t promise anything, but I’m cautiously optimistic.
@ all:
For anyone interested in adding this to their own profiles: authoring the feature will be ridiculously easy. After gaining fairly solid understanding of what works and what doesn’t over the last days, authoring is pretty much pressing a button, waiting a second, and then flipping through usually 1-5 candidates that vorpX figured out to potentially be the weapon. Almost cooler than the feature itself… Provided vorpX found a valid candidate, you then just adjust size and position to your liking and define the keys/buttons that activate the weapon. That’s it. All the rocket science hidden behind a single click. Steve Jobs would have been proud of me. ;)
Can’t promise that I’ll get the authoring UI ready in time for the next release, but at the latest it will come with the one after that.
Apr 6, 2021 at 7:10pm #201704In reply to: Microsoft games pass list / help
RalfKeymasterWhether vorpX can hook into Game Pass games largely depends on whether they are ‘normal’ Win32 applications or UWP (Universal Windows Platform) apps. The latter category of apps was introduced by MS a few years ago for their store. UWP apps run in a sandbox and can’t be hooked. Many first party Microsoft games on Game Pass are UWP, most third party games aren’t.
Luckily there is some hope that in the future less and less games will be UWP apps. Apparently the Windows store as well as UWP wasn’t exactly the success MS had hoped for. Fingers crossed.

adzterParticipantI tried v2.6.
I’ve tried every combination of settings available, and unless I ‘disable and passthru to real DX’ (which I assume means it’s effectively not doing what it’s supposed to) I get a crash. Sometimes an error message, or sometimes the splash screen comes up with the DGVoodoo watermark and then it crashes.

steph12Participantthis feature is a very nice surprise indeed ! i was not expecting such new feature :D very refreshing and i cannot wait to test it in motion :)

adzterParticipantHey Ralf…
Do you have a list of titles we might expect this to feature on?
I deleted Titanfall2 because I couldn’t stand the size of the gun… but the G3D was awesome. I would’ve played it through even if the gun wasn’t visible at all.Apr 4, 2021 at 10:03pm #201679In reply to: Remnant from the Ashes User Profiles G3D
RalfKeymasterGood to know that indeed more UE4 games suffer from this glitch. I’ll definitely check it then. Thanks for the heads-up.

RalfKeymasterI don‘t have much experience with WMR in native apps, but at least with vorpX the difference is indeed fairly huge. Both big WMR annoyances, i.e. judder with uneven game/headset framerate ratios, as well as heavy judder below half the headset refresh rate, are gone with OpenXR. With OpenXR WMR headsets finally behave as intended and as solid as native SteamVR headsets like Vive or Index do with SteamVR.

RalfKeymasterExactly. Best to leave the FOV related stuff at the recommended defaults and only use the 3D-Strength for scale finetuning if necessary.
Seated or standing doesn‘t make a difference. Only thing I can imagine is that in games with positional tracking the changed distance to the floor may make things appear slightly different after standing up. Try to recenter the view with ALT-SPACE.
Apr 4, 2021 at 9:41pm #201674
RalfKeymasterYou can pretty much ignore that. When you copy a profile it originally still has the old version since nothing has changed yet. There is indeed a glitch though where confusingly even after making changes the old version is still shown in the config app.
That‘s largely a cosmetic issue though, in the actual settings inside the profile vorpX stores the version that was used on last save, so vorpX itself knows how to handle potentially version sensitive stuff like deprecated settings. The only ill effect of the glitch is that it confuses the cloud search version management, so that users with an older vorpX version might see the profile when doing a cloud search although they aren‘t supposed to because it is too new. I‘ll check that on occasion.

forlaunchcastParticipantHey fellas,
I’ve tried the vorpx profiles and while they are very good, they do seem very dark. Just a heads up that this just came out yesterday (link below). Disclaimer — I have not tried it.

Chris StaffordParticipantI would like to request this feature too. Here’s why.
(I’m using keyboard + mouse).
The issue I am having is in Far Cry 5, but I’d imagine it’s fairly general.
When I bring up the Far Cry 5 map, it’s a full screen overlay so I switch to edgepeek mode so I can read it. That works fine.
The problem is when I move my head to read the text in the corners of the screen, the mouse cursor moves with my head movement. That makes it nearly impossible to read text that only appears when you hover over something with the cursor, as the hover text disappears as soon as you move your head to read it due to the mouse cursor moving with your head in Head Tracking mode.
If there was a way to map Head Tracking mode (on / off) to a button, I’d use it alongside edge-peek and everything would work great.

ToxicMikeParticipantI am a fu**ing DUMBASS!
It works! The actual “problem” was me obviously forgot to hit the button to download the h3-profile from paradisedecay when i was at the page.
But then again i ask how it is possible to make a profile for a game when it ain´t hooking (or was paradisedecay only one of few being able to hook?) coz i thought it has to hook first in order being able to make a profile.
Probably i am still not getting it coz i am dumber than i thought, anyway, this one works, thx!
Now i need someone to make an Avengers-Profile coz that one obviously no one here can get to work lol.

SmoilsParticipantOh and one more thing – if each cool feature of vorpx could have a short video preview like that more people might consider getting the software.
