World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 came out today and im playing in direct x 11 legacy and the game no longer has its 3d look..it looks all flat.. will you guys be doing an updated or any suggestions? also, will you guys make it possible to use direct x 12 soon?
Thanks,
Jerome
I would also like to see G3D support for FFXIV.
I have my progress just near the beginning of the story for the first Heavensword expansion, which calls me a lot of attention, although I have read that the later two are also quite good.
At the moment, I have my subscription “frozen”, due to several good games accumulated.
There is a profile for two great mmo at this time, World Of Warcraft (retail and classic) and Elder Scrolls Online, it would be really good to have this G3D FF14 profile at some point.
20/01/10
vorpX 20.1.1 has been released.
This is a medium sized maintenance release, mainly aimed at improving/updating existing profiles and addressing a few issues that have been reported recently. On top of that Immersive Screen and Cinema play styles can now be configured for comfortable reclined gaming and a couple of smaller improvements have been implemented. The release also comes with three new game profiles.
As a new service some short descriptions of the games that got profiles added. Let me know if you consider that useful or unnecessary fluff.
Journey
This is an enhanced version of the PS3/4 masterpiece from 2013 that finally was released for PC a few months ago. Find your way through a barren desert in search for a mysterious mountain on the horizon. A unique game with a whopping Metacritic score of 92 for its original release that you will find in many top lists of the best games ever created. More captivating than ever in 3D with vorpX’s Immersive Screen Mode.
A Hat in Time
Feeling grumpy today? This is for you then. A cute 3D-platformer that will put a smile on your face immediately. Who needs Mario when you can have A Hat in Time? Defaults to Immersive Screen Mode, but if you have the stomach, you might also want to try FullVR, vorpX takes care of adjusting the FOV etc.
Little Nightmares
A Steam surprise hit from roughly a year ago. Guide a little girl in a yellow raincoat through her little nightmares in this 2.5D platformer. If you haven’t tried that already, you will be surprised how much fun games like this can be on a huge (virtual) 3D screen. A must for everyone who likes games like Limbo or Inside even a little bit.

Last night i jumped into World of Warcraft Classic and it was great!!
3rd person was amazing it was like i was standing directly over my characters back or shoulder… the game ran smooth the entire environment appeared 3D !! i loved it so much i want to go back and play more W.O.W Classic !! BUT when i logged into World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth patch 8.2.1 it was Jittering, glitchy and lagging!! i had to literally turn down all the setting to the lowest settings they had and it still didn’t run as smooth as W.o.W classic… My Only Option was either A) attempt to enjoy the 3rd person 3d perspective in the lowest settings with it kind of running smooth experience or turn off the 3d geometry which is basically watching the game flat 2d screen but yet enjoy the game with its ultra settings…right now im using an ASUS x399 motherboard/ Ryzen threadripper 1950x/ ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 O8G Dual-fan OC Edition GDDR6 HDMI …ANY ADVICE OR HELP PLEASE??
Hi,
Has anyone got World of Warcraft Classic playing well in full VR ?
I have just had a quick try and after changing the setting from Direct 12 to 11 Legacy, the game is still very bad using Vorp.
The screen is like a small box in front of me.
Its basically like playing on flat screen but with the headset on.
And suggestions please ?
Hi,
Is it possible to make compatible Oculus Touch & Index controllers for World of Warcraft ?
Play this game in VR is a dream really but VorpX is useless for game if it’s for play with the keyboard and the mouse.
I’m not talking of full 100% compatible but just for the buttons & joysticks of controllers.
Thank you if you have the information
I’m testing just out of curiosity other games on the random compatibility list, and my God, this is great.
I just need to be able to get rid of the typical shader effect barrel and black layer, around the Vorpx logo, because it is not necessary for traditional screens. For the rest, this is too good!
Please Ralf, if you read this, I beg you … try to unlock a new “generic” tab for this use with screens, I think it’s possible as a basic release without too much time around.
I just tried some games, and it works perfectly except for what has been said before.
There are some video games that require a lot of interface use, such as TESO, including World Of Warcraft among others, that I would like to be able to play on my 3D TV in this way.
PD: Even Vorpx internal menu is available as always, with the predefined key, which allows you to control 3D force among other options.
I think it deserves too much of a little time effort to release this.
This topic here actually sums up my issue. I’m using direct x 11 legacy window mode. Seems to not be sufficient enough to fix the 3d. Anything else I could try @Ralf?
I am testing World of Warcraft on my Rift S, and am noticing low framerates, even on the lowest graphic setting. I sold my OG Rift a little while back, but I don’t remember having FPS issues. Also, I’ve seen people post on here about achieving 90 fps in Wow.
I enabled the Geforce fps indicator on my monitor, and it seems that the fps is capped at 41 for some reason. Meaning, that no matter if I use ultra, or the lowest setting (in a starting zone), I am getting 41 fps. I am assuming that my monitor fps is related to the headset fps, but either way it’s to choppy in the headset to play.
Any ideas? Wasn’t sure if I should post this here or technical support, but guess I’ll try here first.
I loaded up Vorpx today and it had another update, maybe the update failed the first time? Regardless it works, however I have news of Classic World of Warcraft. I recieved a beta invite and will be able to test it fully tomorrow but just copying the current WoW Vorpx profile it worked although I could not log in as servers are down.
Classic is put into a subdirectory of WoW and if you try to change the download place it notices that there is no base WoW and has you download a 9 gig file instead of a 4 gig file so my bet is they are linked enough that there should be no work on your end.
vorpX 19.1.1 has been released.

3d did not working anymore.
