The mod uses the CyberEngineTweaks modding framework, which usually has to be updated after a Cyberpunk update.
For detailed information check the instructions panel in the launch room. Reading that is time well spent for other reasons as well.
Hi guys, I was hoping you could help me with the following:
I recently got a Quest 3 and downloaded CyberPunk 2077 on Steam. I have tried everything possible to play the game but it keeps on displaying in theatre mode (no head tracking) could you kindly tell me how to get this running properly or tell me how you get your games to run in VR? (I am using the Vorpx Cyberpunk vr mod) https://www.vorpx.com/10-years-vorpx-cyberpunk-vr-mod/
Thank you in advance
Right, worked for me using 23.1.5. Not with the free Cyberpunk mod version.
Hi robernd, Im currently using the standalone free mod for Cyberpunk 2077 although I do own VorpX too. When you use 23.1.5, does the Metro work in full VR too (the view glitches to one eye for me)? Thx
Right, worked for me using 23.1.5. Not with the free Cyberpunk mod version.
Hoping someone can explain to me the sequences by which things are generated by the graphics card. I would like to know so i can determine which is more important in attempt to optimize for my preference (seem I need higher refresh so greater then image quality).
More specifically, how are rendering resolution settings (found in the Quest desktop app), and game resolution settings different. Or, how do they impact they tend to impact performance.
I have two possibly thoughts:
(1) Game (virtual monitor) and virtual environment are rendered independently. And combined right before forming a final image (rasterization). In this thought, Rendering Resolution has no effect on the virtual monitor, only the environment. I image being in mindcraft world, and looking through a portal/mirror to Cyberpunk 2077. Therefore, 0.7x vs. 1.3x has little effect on the quality of the virtual monitor/game image.
(2) Game (virtual monitor) and virtual environment are rendered on top of another (like the game monitor is a texture). Assuming the game is rendered at a lower resolution, and the game would be scaled to the Rendering Resolution. Stretching the image and making it look fuzzy. I guess this would be like looking at a low resolution texture/posture in a game running 4k. The text would be all blurry. In this case, i’m not sure where to start to find optimal balance, Rendering Resolution or Game Resolution. Although Rendering Resolution would be the max, for game. It’s effectively the monitor resolution.
Did the same as above, but used the standalone CyberpunkVR_Setup.zip file.
I was very thorough and manually removed possibly remaining folder of mods and CET.
Doing this, I can “play” it. However, no edge-peak or full-vr mode.
Guess we have to wait until there is an update.
Made a new fresh install, no mod, only the lasted CET for 2.11
Re-imported the cyberpunk profile on VorpX 24.1.0, i just want to make it run by default without changing anything; just to make sure it works for me.
Game crash when i press [space] at the end of the loading.
Any tips ?
Having same issue. Clean install of everything. only mod is the above cyber-tweaks. I do get the redscript compilation error on startup I which havent been able to fix…
Some strange issues: When moving around in the options screen in actual Cyberpunk, the cursor moves with the left controller movement but I have to select items with the right trigger? Also several initial screens make me push the space bar to continue-
In the game, I cant look around with headset.
Cant move with Vorpx options set to “gamepad”, have to change to keyboard and mouse.
Cant get the screen to fill the full fov, still is semi windowed after trying different settings
I spend about a hour every night trying to get it to work :( I have read through the 60 page thread as well
I start airlink
Start steam vr, in the oculus headset it puts me into into steam vr room.
Go to desktop, start Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk opens in a window in the Stream VR room.
Initial Vorpx instructions show up and I can go through the tutorial fine – then push A wont work I have to hit spacebar to go into game. In the game, I can get into the Vorpx options by hold left and squeeze right-
If anyone has any ideas, that would be great!
Hi Ralf, CD Projekt Red has announced another update for Cyberpunk which should arrive very soon. If/when you update the mod, I would like to request/hope you can have fixes for the following: floating markers, Metro (where VR stops working when you board the metro) and enabling motion controllers for VorpX Settings Menu (currently can only use keyboard to change settings)
Thanks!
Hi, I’m playing on a Pimax Crystal and would love to see how this games runs at an 2880×2880 resolution. Is there anyway to do this? I’ve tried setting it in the ini and turned off Vorpx auto resoultion, but it just defaults to a very low resolution whenever I restart the game.
VorpX looks for the Quest, but I have a Pimax Crystal (OpenXR) and I cannot change it as the config app will not run. I had it running once (through the Cyberpunk standalone app), but after a CTD in Cyberpunk VorpX Config refuses to run. I tried all versions of VorpX; standalone, regular registered version and the beta, properly uninstalling and reinstalling every time. I even paid the $40 for the full version. Please help!
hi, i have a quest 3 and get a black bar at the bottom of screen in Cyberpunk.
This happens with the standalone mod as well as with version 24.1
In the Luke Ross Mod i don’t have this black bar but i like VorpX more, because of the motion controller support.
Aspect ratio correction is at 1:1 and zoom is at the maximum of 0.85. With this setting i have the best result with only one black bar at the bottom. Is there a way to get completely rid of it in VorpX or do i have to resort to the Luke Ross mod for this ?
Hello, i’ve bought VorpX today and I wanted to try out Cyberpunk 2077. I followed a guide how to install VorpX.
I configured VorpX, made a standard profile for Cybeprunk 2077 and selected Oculus Rift. I launched Cyberpunk 2077 and immediately received a message that Oculus software doesn’t support any directx 12 games.
So, I went back to the VorpX settings, changed it to SteamVR and relaunched the game. It immediately flatlines on the CD Projekt intro. I deleted Cyberpunk 2077 and re-install it and it was now working in SteamVR settings.
But the game looked VERY ugly and pixaleted and it was very zoomed it. The video told me to put the field of view on 100, but it was still very zoomed in.
I tried to changed some other settings, but now Cyberpunk 2077 flatlines all the time, no matter what settings I use or changed it back to default. I just can’t get it to work anymore, unless I re-intall the game again.
I do have a powerful computer, a I9 14900kF, RTX 4080 and 32gb DDR5 memory on 6000mhz and installed on a m.2 SSD. When I watch other people video’s, it looks so much better.
VorpX crash after installing Phantom Liberty.
VorpX : beta 23.1.0
Cyberpunk was a fresh install, no phantom liberty, just a few texture mods and latest CET. I imported the Cyberpunk2077[vorpx] profile, i did not install missing componant (i don’t know what it was, and i just want to play with mouse & keyboard like always in Z3D), the game works, but i had to change some settings to my get usual experience back (i play in immersive screen, and i changed the FOV to 100 because it was streched from vorpx auto FOV).
Anyway, worked like a charm, i was very happy, especialy with the HUD and minimap more centered in the screen, that was perfect.
So i bought and installed phantom liberty and now it crashes : i launch the game, vorpx is hooking, black screen and crash to desktop few seconds later.
I tried to re-import the vorpx profil, but it didn’t change anything.
Without VorpX, the game run juste fine.
I’m running cyberpunk 2077 from my pc using Airlink to my metaquest 2. After a bit of tinkering it’s working well, however I’m stuck on the tutorial because I’m not sure how to access the quick slots/inventory to use the healing packs! Any clues? Thanks. I am using the metaquest 2 controllers.
