If using steam go into the steam right click properties on elder scrolls game. Local File tab. Browse Local files. Click on Skyrim> on Skyrim prefs right click properties and change to read only if its not already. OK awesome for next part you need to go to nexus mods and download using their nexus manager the Less intrusive MOD 2. It makes life a lot easier in game. ok after that run skyrim you may have to download Skyrim mod SKSE but try it first should work. When you click the game it should send it to your headset now. OH NO U LIED U SOB IM SEEING DOUBLE STILL!!!! FEAR NOT!!! This sounds retarded but it should work. Close one eye and spacebar/click the continue game( Recommend getting past initial part then saving a lot easier.) When your in the game press the delete button. From here you have a ton of options to adjust the display for the rift. At the very top is your settings page. Click the right arrow of the top selection. Look at the new menus bottom two selections. They adjust the split view you are seeing. Simply click the arrows to calibrate or click the bottom selection and use arrow keys to unify the view. TA DA!!!! You can Now play SKYRIM.. YOUR WELCOME WORLD!!!

KarlorParticipantA tip that could help you out is go to Fallout 3 nexus and just go over the list of UI mods. It mite take a bit but there are all sorts of not so popular mods that work great in a VR environment.
Bethesda is having their very own(and first) E3 thingy this year so fingers crossed! I want Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2.

KarlorParticipantOne way to make the pipboy easier to navigate is a mnod called pipboy menu tabbing hotkeys:
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50870/?This one is for NV but there mite be a Fallout 3 equivalent. It lets you navigate the menus with your movement keys. Also in the forums a guy mentioned that 3 of the “F” buttons are already mapped to the menus I just don’t remember what f buttons they are.
If you cant find a Fallout 3 mod that does the same thing you could probably get someone who knows the GECK to port it maybe.I use a controller but I remap it all to keyboard and mouse to better work with vorpX setup (and a lot of mods don’t have controller options anyway). I use 2 PlayStation move navigation controllers but the set up is still more or less the same idea as a 360 controller.

in forum General vorpX Discussion
acb5544ParticipantFallout 3 is listed as a supported game, but I don’t seem to be able to get it to hook. I renamed d3d9.dll and tried various permutations of setting up the DK2 as direct to rift, extended as primary and extended as secondary and nothing worked. Game resolution is set to 1920 x 1080. I tried using my rift user profile and also not using the profile and entering IPD manually. I have the steam GOTY version of fallout 3 and a dozen or so mods and use nexus mod manager.
Can anyone confirm vorpx works with fallout 3 on 64-bit windows 7 with the dk2?
If so, I may try a fresh install of the game w/out mods, then add back a few of the mods that people seem to report as working OK with vorpx.
Thanks!

KarlorParticipantI changed settings in data\menus\prefabs\DUIF3Setting.xml
Maybe an important note: screenshots and settings are from Fallout 3.
Almost forgot – this is the only HUD mod I’ve tried so far.OK I’ll check that out moving those would be great. I noticed it was Moriarty’s after looking closer :) I think a lot of the mods I listed probably have a Fallout 3 equivalent. You got a lot of adjustment from just editing the file. In NV you can use the mod menu to move them around with arrow keys. The only thing is that it doesn’t have all the HUD, like item/text boxes.
This mod is a life saver too. It lets you adjust the FOV of Iron sights. I set my in game FOV to 120 with the FOV slider mod. Then in this mod you set the iron sights all to 120 FOV. Now when you raise up it doesn’t zoom or anything your just on your own with your wits and your sights. I love it, Its challenging in all the good ways.

The 2 I like a lot are the FOV slider and Pipboy Menu Tab. The FOV slider saves your FOV settings up to 160 with the need for console every time. It also lets you change Pipboy FOV and Terminal FOV. Pipboy tabbing is a life saver as it lets you navigate the Pipboy menus with whatever you use for your movement keys. No more trying to click stuff in VR you can just navigate around.Mar 2, 2015 at 8:29am #80198In reply to: Feature request:Re-arrange HUD via video
KarlorParticipantI was thinking about this and how it might be set up so it could be easily used and customized for each game without it being to over the top. I’m not a programmer but I was thinking on it anyway.
I’m thinking you could divide the screen into a grid as illustrated on the smash hit RAMBO The Video Game:

That way you could take the grid overlays coordinates for the areas of the HUD layer you want to move, and reassign them to a new coordinate on the same HUD layer. Sort of like a version of battleship if you will, swapping a blocks location to a new blocks location essentially. It might be easier to handle something like this then on like a per pixel base. Just an idea I had and thought it might help make this doable.
There is a mod for Skyrim:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35154/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D35154%26preview%3D&pUp=1It allows you to move around and resize the HUD elements. Its pretty awesome. I’m not sure how the guy who made it actually does all of it but might be worth checking into.

Trancer SpaceyParticipantPerhaps a solution:
today I installed some useful (i hope!) mods. Now the freezing of the game seems not to happen again. (But this is just a first impression. I had’nt the time to test the game longer than ten minutes per session, but the crashing/freezing didn’t happen again.) So I guess, one of the following mods helped, to stabilize the game. If you have the same problems like me, perhaps the following links will help:
(complete links seems to be deleted, so go to http://www.nexusmods.com/ and paste the following adresses)

epengrParticipantYou can go on nexusmods.com and pick a choose some of the mods without difficulty.
I currently have:
Which makes a huge difference in the whole game in one shot. And I highly recommend, for OR readability:
I also have , and installed without issue. The first two are a little redundant with the texture pack and are only marginally better than what it includes. The last in just personal preference.
I tried several mesh enhancement mods (better bodies, etc), but ran into repeated errors on launch, that I don’t think are vorpx related (something about snowflake meshes missing?). I think that it’s the distant lands stuff in MGE/Overhaul that might be messing up vorpx, but I’m not sure.
Sep 19, 2014 at 3:54pm #17875In reply to: Morrowind Help
RalfKeymasterI used the Morrowind Overhaul 2.0 IIRC. The DX9 patch that was used was MGE XE, I think you can select several MGE versions in the Overhaul install.
Installing MGE XE alone (available at Morrowind Nexus for example) should be enough to get DX9 support. You won’t get all the other mods of the Overhaul, but to check whether things work in general it might be best to use MGE XE without any other mods first anyway.

youngneil1ParticipantHeyho fellow VR enthusiasts,
at first again big thanks to Ralf for making VorpX in the first place. It’s definitely the best solution to play Skyrim right now.
To fix water, sky and moons actually try the corresponding water fix, skybox fix and no moons fix from here:
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23146/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D23146&pUp=1As for shadows form my experience the head-roll is the problem here. Since patch 1.6 the deferred shadows can be set to 0 in the skyrimprefs.ini (found not in the install directory, but under user/documents/mygames/skyrim iirc). It’s this line:
bDeferredShadows=0For 3D vision of Nvidia this does the shadow fix alone. Have you tried disabling roll and setting this line, Ralf (with geo3d mode)? Mayhaps that’s already enough actually.
Additionally I find it very important enable advanced settings of vorpx in the config mneu and push the focal point towards the user. This way it’s much easier to read dialogue choice texts which otherwise collide with the background picture. Additionally I find it advisable to actually lower the 3d eye separation quite a bit. Things get realistically larger (well minus hands and weapon who stay too large in any scenario imho), and the text becomes even better readable. Try to get the text float a tiny bit in front of the NPC you talk to. Still, everything is yet quite deep and separated.
Subjectively I need much less separation in VR than on a computer screen in front of me. It works differently when the picture fills your whole field of view.
