I just tried the official profile with V24 (I wanted to do it for years and someone just posted about it).

The beginning with the mammoths was very impressive, as expected :)

I played in Full VR G3D with 3840×2880 4:3 resolution and max graphics. 100° (/120°) FOV in the game’s settings (on Reverb G2) and I used this mod to set the weapon FOV to 110° :
    https://www.nexusmods.com/farcryprimal/mods/21?tab=description

No problem to hook, even with Virtual Monitor. It worked instantly.

Z3D worked for me when I relaunched the game (not the first time). It’s not the best Z3D I have seen in Vorpx, neither the worse.
G3D is great, but I have indeed shadows glitches in a lot of areas and I agree it hurts eyes a bit sometimes (maybe I could get used to it but a fix would be great).
You can disable G3D shadows in VorpX’s menu (and lower gamma in this case), and it seems to work perfectly but it’s also a bit less beautiful.

Using the lowest shadow parameter (in game’s settings) doesn’t affect graphics a lot (trust me, I usually don’t lower graphics) and it solves most of the G3D shadows problems (at least they are a lot less noticeable). These are probably the most beautiful and impressive settings I tried (but it’s a bit less comfortable than perfect profiles like Bioshock, Metro 2033, etc.)
A G3D shadow fix would still be great (but I guess it’s hard to do).

I would recommand switching between options (you can do it instantly) depending on the area / situation.

I disabled most “auto” options and played with high resolution so maybe I broke something and it’s possible to get a better result.

I was able to resize HUD in both Z3D and G3D modes (at least after switching to Z3D one time). I used max ClarityFX, sharpness and texture enhancement (and low gamma) in VorpX.

Too bad I already finished this wonderful game years ago and I lack spare time, but it’s quite incredible in VR.

    Hey guys.
I made a VR Motion Controls Mod for New Vegas: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/91589?tab=description
    Trailer: https://vimeo.com/1070196230

Fallout: New Virtual Reality brings virtual reality motion controls into Fallout: New Vegas and VorpX. With vanilla VorpX and NV, your gun is strapped to your face and you shoot directly where you look. Using this mod, your weapon will follow your hand and shoot in the direction you’re pointing it. You can also point your gun to select NPCs and containers, as well as pick up and move objects. You can also use gestures to open the Pip-Boy, ESC Menu, and select hotkeys. Movement is controller centric rather than HMD centric. Overall, it makes for a more engaging and entertaining New Vegas VR experience.

For somebody maybe will be interesting. :)
GTA5 Enhanced profile was made on Grounded profile.
Could find in Vorpx Cloud Profiles.

    Usage Instructions:

-Maximize First-Person Field of View (FOV) In-Game:
First, in the game settings, set the first-person field of view to the maximum.
    – Widen Field of View with “Flawless Widescreen”:
Download and install the “Flawless Widescreen” application.
Use this application to further increase the field of view.
    – Field of View (FOV) Plugin (“FOV Fix”):
Download the “FOV Fix” plugin from this source: “https://www.nexusmods.com/gta5/mods/1205?tab=description”.
    Install the plugin.
    – Use the plugin settings to increase the field of view. It’s recommended to start with a 30-40% increase, but experiment to find the most suitable settings for on-foot and in-car gameplay.
    – Disabling BattleEye:
For “Vorpx” to function correctly, you must disable or delete the “BattleEye” anti-cheat program. Otherwise, “Vorpx” will not be able to hook into the game.

This game works surprisingly well with VorpX !

It’s not as demanding as I thought : i was able to play in 5120×3840 Z3D with my RTX4090 (not needed at all).

I can easily play in full VR G3D 3200p.

Z3D is good, and G3D seems more or less perfect (all effects seems to work).

This mod seems to work well with VorpX :
    https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/1538

It improve graphics a lot (by increasing draw distance).

But it lowers the framerate, so try without it the first time.

Concerning FOV in standard edition :
If you use the Steam Version, you may need to delete Exodus “remote” steam folder if you have it because it can interfere with your modifications in “Saved Games” folder (so you won’t be able to really change FOV).

A good way to know if you managed to modify FOV value is : you should see most of the horizontal part of the yellow pipe at the right in the main menu, even in 4:3.

Or simply : game scale is perfect (not zoomed in) and you can look arround you like if it was a native game.

90 FOV is the max in Standard Edition, but I managed to put another value with Hex editor (it appeared to be almost useless with most current headsets given 90 is enough).

Enhanced Edition has this mod for FOV :
    https://www.nexusmods.com/metroexodus/mods/62
You can easily modify the script to get any FOV you want but keep in mind it’s vertical FOV, so 100 is already a lot (90 vertical = 120 horizontal in 4:3).

And if you need uncommon ratio (some headset may not be 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, etc.) :
    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2705127786
You shouldn’t need this if you use a Quest 3, G2, Aero, etc. but maybe with a Crystal Light or else ? I don’t know…

    It’s just a guess but i think…

If the image is out of proportion, it’s probably because your FOV (field of View) is too low (narrow), so you’re zoomed in.

It seems you can adjust FOV with this mod :
    https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55085

Or simply with console command :
    https://steamcommunity.com/app/22380/discussions/0/522730700808149795/
(But beware the achievements in this case, if it matters for you).

I suppose world Field Of view should be setted arround 120, then you lower it until it’s perfect for you.

Remember your perfect FOV value, it won’t change that much between games (except when games use vertical FOV, in which case you have to use lower value – multiply by 0.75 in 4:3 ratio).

    I assume you use a 4:3 headset (Quest 3, Reverb G2 ?). Did you choose a 4:3 resolution ?
You should choose your resolution ratio and adjust zoom before adjusting FOV if you want a perfect experience.
You can raise resolution up to 2880×2160 or 3840×2880 (or more) if you want a very detailed image, but start with something low, as long as it’s 4:3.
Don’t forget using ClarityFX and raise sharpness before raising resolution (because it could be enough).

If you use an Aero, Pimax or other headset, it’s not 4:3.

Remember you can bind VorpX shortcuts (edgepeek, VorpX menu, recenter).

vorpX v21.3.5/Witcher 3 Classic should work with the first person mod since in that case vorpX doesn’t install a Witcher mod by itself.

24.1.0 however probably won’t work with camara mods since it comes with it’s own camera mod for auto-FOV and DirectVR 3D.

You might get lucky with 24.1.0 and the Witcher 3 Script Merger, but since both the vorpX mod and the first person mod affect the camera that probably won’t work as expected.

Hello, I saw an old video from the youtuber VoodooDE who tested The Witcher 3 v1.31 with a First Person mod and vorpX:

Sadly, this First Person Mod is not available anymore on Nexus, but there is another First Person Mod called “Gervant First Person”. The Mod is available for the Next Gen (v4.04) and Old Gen (v1.31-v1.32). From what I know, vorpX 21.3.5 supports the Classic “Old Gen” Version and vorpX 24.0.1 (Beta) supports the Next Gen Version (v4.04) of the Witcher 3.
    https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/5706?tab=description

Is it still possible to play the Witcher 3 (Classic or Next Gen) in First Person with VorpX? I tried to start The Witcher 3 (v4.04 – Next Gen) together with the “Gervant First Person” Mod and VorpX(v24.0.1), but it does not work. VorpX starts with a Warning “Other mods seem to be present. If you encounter any issues, try to remove all mods except modVpxwitcher3 from your Witcher 3 mod folder. Especially camera mods may clash with the vorpX mod.” After that vorpX crashes.

Anyone out there got it to run?

I’m jumping back into NV using Very Last Kiss’ collection (https://next.nexusmods.com/newvegas/collections/jscbqj) and it seems to be working pretty well so far! I picked it because it was the most endorsed list on Nexus.

I previously I did a Fallout 4 VR playthrough with my own custom mod-list. SUPER recommend Sim Settlements 2, even if you don’t like settlements, it has a custom story, voice acting, scripted events and is overall amazing!

What is your favorite game and mod-list to play? Any recommendations? I settled on NV and this mod-list just on a lark but I’m open to bigger and better suggestions.

Can confirm, VDXR OpenXR Runtime in Virtual Desktop WORKS with VorpX [i.e. VorpX + Virtual Desktop(OpenXR aka VDXR)].

    BUT not without hiccups/issues ;(

    VorpX: v21.3.5
    Oculus Quest Desktop Software: Rendering Resolution 3712 x 1888 / 90Hz
Virtual Desktop Streamer: v1.30.1 / VR Graphics Quality: Medium / 90Hz
    Headset: Meta Oculus Quest 2
Game Resolution (The Witcher, Nexus Mods Collection: “best experience LOREPLAY”): 2560 x 1600 (16:10), ~55FPS (seems to be frame caped at 60, 1080p is same)

    Report
    – [PSA] Start VorpX after your streaming within Virtual Desktop, or VorpX tries to hook it (I know i can exclude it, but i’m lazy).
    – [Minor] I have Virtual Desktops Performance Overlay on by default. As soon as it click both sticks to turn off, I lose the mouse. Found no way to get back outside of quitting everything and running again. So disable Performance Overlay prior to starting game.
    – [Major] I’m not sure what to call it other then artifacts. I would have random, not sure if individual or groups, of pixels in my peripheral be sparkling/shimmer/be wrong colour briefly. At first i thought it was dead pixel, but this same behavior did not occur with AirLink, or was not apparent when running game in flat mode. ( I believe it was both the virtual screen and in the lounge.) Unfortunately, this was too distracting for me, and I when back to AirLink.

    Side Experience Notes
    – IMO the UI and User Experience of Virtual Desktop is levels beyond AirLink (The virtual keyboard alone in AirLink is just inconvenient/dumb).
    – In my testing play the witcher, VorpX + AirLink, the combo does NOT recover AT ALL from any type of disconnect, (WIFI related, PC/VorpX error, or the WORST simply removing the headset for a washroom break. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. Where as Virtual Desktop recovered 3 out of 3 times.

    Side Technical Notes
    – Rendering Resolution != Game Resolution. (It’s complicated)
    – As best as i can figure, in Virtual Desktop Streaming Menu (within Headset), VR Graphics Quality, is the equivalent to Oculus Quest Desktop Software Rendering Resolution.

    Questions
    – One thing i haven’t figured out for sure, hoping someone can verify. For Virtual Desktop flat screen/AirLink desktop/VorpX Desktop Viewer, you are simply cloning the Monitor, including the refresh rate and resolution, so they matter and should match. But when running in “VR mode”, your physical monitor res and refresh rate don’t apply. (My current theory is a sort of virtual monitor is created. Your physical monitor can display a limited portion, like reduced resolution and refresh rate, aka with safer perimeters for your physical monitor, of that virtual monitor???)

Upgrading CET resolves the issue, thanks for the tip.

Now to look for decent-ish settings that reduce the jittery/blurryness.

Very much depends on your PC specs. If you have lots of VRAM then getting 4k textures can help a lot (from Nexus Mods). HD Reworked Project Ultra Quality by Halk Hogan, XilaMonstrr’s 4k textures, Alternative Skin Materials, Keen’s NPC textures, etc will give a great visual boost with no FPS loss and significant reduction in ghosting/halo’ing. A lot of these have 2k versions available too

    Hi,

Im unable to run the vr mod with the latest update 2.1 as it says it isn’t compatible. Any plans to update in the near future?

Have you tried updating CET (via Nexus Mods). That can work. Havent had time to update CP2077 and try for myself yet

I prefer square resolutions in first person games in 2160×2160 or 2400×2400 or more in combination with DLSS in Quality Mode. Textures always in high, and standard graphic settings for example shadows etc. are more important than Raytracing . Raytracing should be activated only if you have more than 60fps and all other settings are already at high and the resolution is 4k.

For driving in cars i switch to edge peak with black borders and 3D at 60%. There is mod on nexus mods page for realistic behavior of the cars, exactly as in Forza, that is really cool driving.

All seems to be working pretty well. Just getting latency issues/stuttering and aliasing textures. Any ideas to get it more smooth and limit the fizzing on the textures? Thanks again guys

You will need to adjust your Airlink and headset settings to reduce latency. The 4k textures from Nexus Mods I recommended in my previous post help improve how things look.
