splurkParticipantGet Vorpx 23.1.0 Beta and the appropriate profile from the cloud (the one which is named in the link below).
I have posted my review. It is not perfect but still playable and enjoyable.

splurkParticipantI’ve played CP2077, Farcry 6, and I’m playing Starfield with Vorpx, always with Z3D (G3D don’t work well or at all on this games for me). You may have issue, but usually things are really convincing.
I tried to use Reshade and Depth3D. Though this is a really interesting alternative and fully opensource, on Starfield I could not reach the same performances and quality as I have with Vorpx, stuck at less than 25FPS for a very low result in resolution.
So pros and cons as always. Reshade offers a lot of options to setup they 3D.
Make sure you explore the profiles from the cloud, otherwise the even Z3D won’t be always supported on various games.

bravekatParticipantIf anyone is interested, I uploaded a new Beta vorpX Starfield profile based on Resident Evil Village. It is configured for Cinema mode and called ‘Starfield-Cinema Mode #2’. The Z3D is quite strong and can be turned way up.
Only 4K resolution 3840×2160 works, lower resolutions have glitched textures. Custom resolutions above 2000p would probably work. First person gun view is also slightly glitched. No issue with third person view. Restart game if FPS drops. Hit ‘Delete’ key twice if gamepad stops working.
Set these game settings for best Z3D:
-Set Particle Quality to ‘LOW’.
-Set Motion Blur to ‘OFF’.
-Set Film Grain from 0-12.
-Set Enable Depth of Field to ‘OFF’.
DLSS only works without glitches on max quality or max performance.Nov 27, 2023 at 8:55pm #218619In reply to: vorpX 23.1.0 BETA
gelluParticipant– Gesture editor for rifle aim is not working as expected tried to assign all possible axis — not working, trigger button is possible to assign only for right click, not possible to assign to left trigger gamepad.
– left handed mode swapping controllers including start button (and this button is preserved for re-centering and activating dash). If you go to update button mapping— there no option to swap that buttons only, and remap to left controller — it gone.(not only beta problem)
– gamepad emulation is mapping to keyboard buttons, which not always matches game situation, like for Starfield, button up/down/left/right maps to 1/2/3/4 and when you are controlling ship —- it has combination of alt + arrows, so it is safer to have virtual gamepad and map binding through that, virtual controller. Also it would help with on screen hints, because they all shows keyboard keys, but overlay for touch shows xbox buttons.Nov 22, 2023 at 1:59pm #218556In reply to: Starfield Alpha v0.2 rev.b
splurkParticipantHi all,
As I see some questions about this profile, let me share my experience.
Here is my review of the Starfield Alpha v0.2 rev.b profile.
First it is available only on Vorpx Beta 23.1.0. Do not try to get it on official Vorpx official release.
I have a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 32GB DDR and a RTX 3080 10GB. I’m playing with a PICO 4. When talking FPS, remember that game FPS is divided by in headset. In other meaning, you need to be able to get 60FPS min to have 30FPS in the headset. My max FPS in 90FPS (due to 90Hz headset).
The game hooks without any problem. However stereoscopic 3D works (Z-depth) with some limitations:
– For any reason, I have stereoscopic 3D working on 16/9 or 16/10 screen width. I have not been able to get it with a custom resolution 2160×2160, though the game is fully playable without 3D. This is sad because having too much pixels have probably an impact on my performances (see below).
– If my resolutions is less than 1700 pixel height, then I start to have a lot of artifacts if Z-depth is enable. So my best performance tradeoff is 2720×1700 with stereoscopic 3D, and a dynamic resolution of 85% without artifacts. In such conditions, I can maintain 50-60FPS when walking in New-Atlentis, and 90FPS when exploring planets (a little bit less in forest or fauna planets). Of course I am using the FSR bridge mod mentioned in this topic. However sometimes the performances starts to drop drastically without any reason, especially when switching between menus and going back and forth to the game. I have manage to resolve that by going to main menu a few seconds and return to the game. Sometimes I have to close the game and restart it as the performance drop seems to be stuck.
– With 2720×1700 resolution, the game tends to crash at startup in a random way. I have to try 2 or 3 times before getting to the game menu. This is a side effect of Vorpx as it never happens without it.Now I add a note regarding the last patch from 21 November:
– DLSS is officially supported. However I have found that performances are worst with Vorpx compared to FSR + bridge, litteraly worst. When using Vorpx and official DLSS, I can’t get more than 20FPS, even with “Ultra performance settings”. So for the moment I will keep using the FSR + Bridge, even if I will do some extra tests that needs to be confirmed.Nov 4, 2023 at 4:26am #218345Topic: Starfield

beemzyParticipantIf you try to run it without steam vr all you get is a super wide angle screen in front of you and no vr immersion… This isnt correct. In steam vr it is near perfect usng stand alone mod but aliasing and a bit steppy. Can anyone suggest how to get it working well?
Have you tried running the mod’s config to set it to Oculus with Airlink? Presumably you need to connect your Quest to your PC’s Oculus app using Airlink, and then you launch CP2077 which the mod will set to VR via Airlink? I dont have Steam CP2077 but my Steam Starfield launches in a way similar to this
After one successful launch the app will appear in your Oculus Airlink home page as a frequently used app so that after, you can launch from there each time you make an Airlink connection

willkiel66ParticipantHopefully my Quest 3 arrives on the 10th, I have my fingers crossed that guru Ralph has Starfield profiled and it can be the first game I play on it (I’m holding off for the Vorpx profile as my son plays it flat screen and I don’t want to mess things up for him by tinkering with Alpha V0.2 rev.b).
If not I suppose it will be Demeo in mixed reality or any software that comes with it.
I wish I could get some settings for RDR2 that work well, but I have given up tinkering (too many variables FOV mods etc and I have the RockStar version not the steam one so I can’t use Luke Ross’ mod).Oct 3, 2023 at 8:33pm #217973In reply to: Starfield Hype Train – CHOO CHOO!

cole00ParticipantSo… I can’t wait anymore, I’m going to use Roman designs vr profile for starfield. Thing is… 🙃 I have no idea where to start with regard to setting it up. Will someone please give me a walkthrough?
Also while I’m here, what are gestures, how do they work and do I need them for starielield?
Thanks

romandesignParticipantAny chance “Streamline Native” mod will work with VorpX? https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/2751
It would be great to have DLSS Frame Generation working in VR. Or is there any other way?Oct 1, 2023 at 9:37pm #217947In reply to: Starfield Alpha v0.2 rev.b
RalphParticipantSet the ingame resolution scale between 50% -85%! If you leave it at 100% you will deactivate DLSS and activate DLAA that will make a better image quality but will have a not a performance boost like DLSS !
This one is for DLSS 2.5.1, only:
Starfield FSR2 Bridge – Replacing FSR2 with DLSS or XeSS (without Reshade !)
https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/196%5B/quote%5D
(You can even try DLSS 3.5 without frame generation with a paid mod from https://www.patreon.com/PureDark , but that has a very bad reputation, thus just do not talk about it that you install that mod !)

RalfKeymasterTry the ‘Simultaneous Mouse and Gamepad’ mod. I haven’t tried it yet, but it will probably do the trick:

smartinParticipanti think image quality is great when following the guide for the profile. i just cant get controller AND headtracking working at the same time.
and mapping all keys while wearing the headset is too much hassle for me.
so i am hooked on starfield VR but cant play it :)Sep 28, 2023 at 9:54pm #217900In reply to: Starfield Hype Train – CHOO CHOO!
romandesignParticipantthe user profile is great BUT i cannot use the controller at all. would an official profile fix that or can i bury my hopes of starfield in vr?
As long as you have proper controller type set in VorpX, both Alpha and my profile work for me in terms of controller gamepad emulation. My profile has gestures mapped as well – aiming, throwing grenades etc. I like to set controllers as only buttons visible (no controller models) – it’s less distracting that way. I’m on WMR though, so not sure about other VR platforms.
If you want to use both VR controllers and gamepad (or joystick via emulator) there is a mod that allows SIMULTANEOUS operation of both, instead of the takeover mode that can be set in the game menu: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1603 I haven’t tried it yet, but there are a lot of happy people in the comments there. I suspect it will be awkward as head tracking would clash with gamepad control in flight. But maybe it would alleviate some issues I was writing about earlier. Anyway, best to test it with an official profile when it’s out, but the option is there.
Is it normal to have artifacts in this game?
I noticed wobbles with native FSR support, and I do have wobbles with DLSS (FSR Bridge) mod. But normally they are only present in menus and they get better in virtual screen mode that you should be using in menus anyway. In game everything is fine normally, but sometimes I see corrupted video in the top third of the image, and changing the scaling slider in-game seems to help with that. I have no problems with around 84% setting. More or less can give scrambled top of the screen that can randomly appear and disappear. Last few days it’s fairly stable.
