dellrifter22ParticipantNice!!
Even a year before consumer vr sets hit the market I saw a vorpX video on youtube. I knew right away that playing my games in real world scale 3D was what I wanted. I eagerly awaited for the Vive/Rift to ship, finally got mine, installed vorpX, and haven’t looked back since!
The vorpX experience is really a game changer compared to playing on a monitor! I keep saying that more people need to try it.
Thanks as always to Ralf, for sharing his passion project with us and striving to make it better and better.
dellrifter22ParticipantThis hitman has a first person mode? Nice, I may have to try it. Thanks.

dellrifter22ParticipantMaybe I misunderstood the post, but I think you can remap most of the vorpX keys in the desktop config app. I’ve assigned my Q key to recenter my view in vorpX. Maybe you can just assign your extra mouse button instead.
Remember to restart vorpX after changing any keys, for them to take effect.
dellrifter22ParticipantTry the Unity 5 base profile. It’s worth a shot for most games.
dellrifter22ParticipantAre you using the steam version? Multiplayer or campaign?
I’ve only tried the steam version of the MP, which can hook with Cyberpunk’s profile, but the Z3D will not work reliably. I’m waiting to hear if SP will work before I purchase it on steam.
It is unlikely that the game pass version will work if it is programed in the same file locked manner as the other Xbox games for windows.
dellrifter22ParticipantI don’t recall Resident Evil 7 having Z3D, only G3D, but I could be mistaken.
Are you sure you don’t mean re8 Village? That only has Z3D, it’s dx12.

dellrifter22ParticipantHave you already tried the dellrifter cloud profile?
Final Fantasy XIV Online (G3D) (dellrifter22)
With the tool I added general G3D functionality for the base FFXIV demo, though I haven’t tested with the new Endwalker. I imagine it should still work, although some new lighting shaders might not be perfect.
dellrifter22ParticipantI’m pretty sure you can already do this (scale the HUD) for profiles that have UI layers assigned – even in Z3D or 2D mode. If the HUD sliders are visible on the vorpX menu Image Settings page, then something has been assigned. If there are no HUD sliders visible, that means nothing has been assigned yet.
You can use the G3D shader authoring tool (Ctrl+End) to seek the UI shaders and assign them to HUD treatment. You might have to temporarily enable G3D rendering to do this, but once you have assigned the right layers to be treated as HUD, you can then disable G3D and now be able to scale the HUD from vorpX menu in any 3D mode. Or at least you can do this with dx11 games, but maybe not dx12.
Edit: oh great Ralf. Thanks.
Any way we can add “do not render” assignments that apply to Z3D as well? I’ve been using the “hide shader” scan tool to temporarily hide depth breaking transparent window glass shaders in Mafia Definitive and RDR2, but having a proper toggle for things like that and unwanted crosshair/hud elements might be better.
dellrifter22ParticipantThat would be my wishlist too! Just missing Halo Infinite campaign Z3D as well :)
dellrifter22ParticipantCould try Alt+Enter a few times to switch between fullscreen and windowed and back.
Or Alt+C (I think) to toggle the vorpX cursor on and off.
dellrifter22ParticipantThere is a Unity 5 base profile in the library, typically that will hook general 3D for all newer Unity games. You’ll probably need to disable some shadow and AA effects though.
Just copy the Unity 5 base, give it a name, and assign the crab game’s exe to it. Good luck.

dellrifter22ParticipantI know almost nothing about the game. This list from RJK can help identify G3D profiles for other Gamebryo games (I don’t know why the link toolbar is gone now, but here are some on the list):
Divinity II: Ego Draconis – ( Gamebryo ) (G3D) ||
Fallout 3 – ( Gamebryo ) – 2008 (G3D) ||
Fallout: New Vegas – ( Gamebryo ) – 2010 (G3D) ||
Loki – ( Gamebryo ) – 2007 (G3D) ||
Nehrim – ( Gamebryo ) – 2012 (G3D) ||
Red Ocean – ( Gamebryo ) – 2007 (G3D) ||
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind – ( Gamebryo ) (G3D) ||
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion – ( Gamebryo ) – 2006 (G3D) ||The key though is knowing which directX version the game is running. If it’s dx9 you may be in luck. If dx12, then not so much.
That fact that you say 3D reconstruction is not even an option to select leads me to believe you might not be assigning the correct exe to the profiles you have tested. vorpX will attempt to attach to any exe that is started, and if it does not have a profile assignment for that exe, it will launch it’s generic 2D only hook profile.
G3D profiles typically always have the option to select a 3D type in the vorpX menu, weather or not the 3D actually works is another thing. But if assigned correctly, you should at least see a 3D reconstruction option available to try.
dellrifter22ParticipantIf you are using an Oculus, try running vorpX in SteamVR mode.
dellrifter22ParticipantI’ve noticed a few times recently where I launch a game to soon discover there is no head roll or tracking – HP Reverb G1 OpenXR. It never seems to happen on a fresh portal boot or first game launch, but sometimes on a 2nd or 3rd game attempt. Rebooting the WMR portal seems to fix it, but I have not experienced this bug prior to Windows/vorpX updates this month.
Along side this new occurrence, I can no longer play some Ubisoft games in OpenXR. I’ve been playing FC5 and FCNewDawn in OpenXR just fine for a month, but now I get an “OpenXR init failed” for both games. They still work in SteamVR mode, but with less ideal performance. Other games still seem to work fine with OpenXR, including the AC games. Odd.
dellrifter22ParticipantThanks, it’s working now.
I found that some Shadow Depth game setting needs to be on Normal, otherwise the Z3D will get confused and change when looking in certain directions.
