Thanks RJK for this profile, I finally got around to playing COD2 with it.

I’ve made some slight adjustments to better suit a more dark and gritty feel, and put this option on the cloud for others that may like it this way. It requires the same reshade fix RJK lists above, an FOV 105 config edit, and should be used with 2560×1440.

Either type this into the game console, or add it to the config.cfg file found in the game directory Players folder.

    bind Q “cg_fov 105”

Now press Q at the start of each mission to reset the correct FOV.

A recent game update added EAC anti-cheat support, so I’m sad to say this is no longer possible in vorpX. It came quicker than I expected. I should take the profile down now I suppose.

It looked great and was fun while is lasted though.

Unfortunately part 2 uses an aggressive anti cheat (EAC) that blocks vorpX injection.

For some singleplayer based EAC games you might find bypass solutions used for cheat trainers, but for online only games like Division 2 there really aren’t any viable solutions.

You can still display these games on a large virtual screen with the desktop viewer if you like, but for me the flat 2D so close up just hurts and confuses my eyes too much to make it worth it.

I wish there was some way vorpX could externally scan the memory for depth buffer to unobtrusively provide a basic Z3D for games like this, or if setting a predefined buffer would somehow work, that would be enough for me to enjoy games in desktop mode. But Ralf would have to answer if something like this is even possible.

I don’t yet have GamePass, but this article claims the GamePass app has the same two exe options as the other versions (under Recently Played?). See the bottom screenshot:

    http://www.stevivor.com

So there must be some way around it I imagine.

Beardo Benjo the Youtuber had it working soon after launch, so it was at least possible at one point, if not still.

I believe there are multiple executables, the one Beardo identified was:

    mcc-win64-shipping-winstore.exe

I am unsure though if using gamepass differs in any way to the typical windows store.

Minor update to the profile today (for CE) to address 3D particle effects that were about 30% too strong in relation to the surrounding world. Should look more natural now.

Are you using a Windows Mixed Reality headset with steamVR by chance?

Which games did you try? Can you launch these games now without vorpX?

ilkj4832z posted a Z3D profile for JC4 to the vorpX cloud today.

You can log in to the Cloud Profiles page of the vorpX config, search “just cause 4” in the Game/App box and import the profile that appears below.

To double check that the game is assigned to a profile, look for it in your Local Profiles list, and see that it has the exe listed in the top right window. If not, you can then add the JC4 exe to that or any other profile you wish to test it with.

I have been waiting for a chance to jump back into 76 for a bit, maybe now is finally the time. Hope G3D still works :)

With a Hex editor you can make subtle changes to your database, but I think Ralf would discourage people from doing this, as you can break it if not careful. Instead I’ll lend you mine for now and hope Ralf doesn’t mind:

I’ve uploaded my Profiles.vpd to a temp hosting site privfile.com for a 24 hour period.
    Password: vorpx

Delete the attached numbers and rename file to Profiles.vpd

Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Animation Labs\vorpX (may need to show hidden folders)
Backup and replace your existing Profiles.vpd

Now when you start the vorpX config app you will see my list of profiles. It still has a lot of bloat from various tests, so you should restore your own once you are done playing.

It includes my WIP profiles for Black Ops and also COD:WWII if you are interested. They are already assigned for you. Also I have renamed the exe assignment for Killing Floor 2, so you can now assign the actual exe to whatever you want.

    Recommended settings:

    Black Ops
    – use the same FOV Changer as COD:WaW and set to 105
    – use a 4:3 resolution and set 4:3 aspect in game settings
    (1920×1440, or 2304×1728 is what I use)
    – Shadows and AA should be ON
*Some smoke/fire/lighting effects that conflict with character models have been assigned to the G3D Shadow Treatment layer, and are hidden by default. If you wish to reveal these effects anyway, set Shadow Treatment to Auto in vorpX delete menu. Water still has minor issues.
*Image zoom at .905 looks best in my Reverb, but .83 fit better in my Rift, so slight adjustment might be required.

    WWII
    – use either a 4:3 resolution for better performance (1600×1200, 1920×1440)
or a wider aspect ratio if you notice pop-in rendering on the sides.
    – Set FOV to 87 in Advanced Video Settings
    – Shadows and AA should be OFF
*Game is very performance heavy, should use all low settings except for textures can be high. Headtracking will stutter, so mouse rotation only recommended.

Let me know if it works. I had never played the last half of Black Ops before, but really enjoyed the ending missions in vorpX – pretty fun.

I’m working on a Black Ops profile now (I’ve wanted to for a while anyway) and may have a temporary solution for you. But first: do you prefer to play with HUD/crosshair on, or off?

Once I’m done, I can try to upload my profiles database file for a short time, which you can use temporarily to play Black Ops. Then when you’re done, you should revert back to your own.

Ralf wants us to be able to reassign official profiles eventually, but the restore feature isn’t working quite yet. Hopefully it won’t be delayed too much further beyond next update.

Sorry it’s not much help, but I launched mine for a quick test and it seems to work as normal. I’m on Nvidia using WMR with SteamVR.

I don’t know if AMD has a conflict, but maybe turn off the AMD specific setting that exists in the game options. Also, try running vorpX in steamVR mode if by chance you are using a Rift.

Sounds like you are hooking in, you just have some conflict with game settings. Try using your monitors native resolution to begin with.

Leave Resolution scaling at 100%. It shouldn’t matter in this case of SBS, but worth checking.

I noticed stretching issues if you have Exclusive Frullscreen enabled. Turning that off can fix stretching.

BTW, Not sure my profile is usable anymore. It was made before the official one released. Unless it just imports my settings, it may have some exe conflict with the official one.

That was an older solution. Now vorpX has a preferred main eye setting which centers the camera for one eye, so you can see straight down the sights. You may need to enable expert settings from vorpX configuration app first, then find this setting on the main page of the delete menu in game.

It was a big improvement for shooters when this was added. Thanks again Ralf.

PS. You can also raise the camera height a notch or two to get a better view through or slightly above the sights to get a better view and enhance the 3D look of the gun.

    Rainbow Six: Lockdown (G3D)

This game also required a lot of forced FOV Enhancement, so pop-in around the edges may be more noticeable. Aspect ratio also affects the FOV so be sure to use 4:3 for best fit with this profile. Some skybox issues remain, but weapon models look and scale great in this game.

    – use a 4:3 resolution for correct FOV (1600×1200, 1920×1440)
    – turn off crosshair reticle in Gameplay options

*Has some edge culling from moderate FOV Enhancement,
*Type “God” in console if you get frustrated
*To unlock all levels, open file “lockdown.pro” found in “Rainbow Six Lockdown\data\save” and set completedNormal = “1” for all.
    *Tested on HP Reverb
