@ Karlor: I really appreciate what you are trying to do, but please no personal attacks here. Doesn’t help the cause and probably makes the guy just more angry. He obviously has problems getting things running and is frustrated, so the best thing one can do is offering help.

I’m really sorry that I had to remove your entire post. I didn’t do it lightly, you were just a bit too explicit.

If its the same as it was the only thing you have to do is make sure you don’t open the vorpx config app while connected to internet. You can probably still use the vorpx driver part while connected without auto updating but if you’re super paranoid just don’t be connected to internet while using either. I stayed on 8.1 well past the release of the newer version until I finally decided to try it out. Kinda wish Id stuck with 8.1 vorpx longer but hey it is what it is.

I’m pretty sure that at one point I had it figured out. I’ll try to take a look at my files and see what I did. If I remember right I had to find the right combo and versions of SKSE and one of the memory patches. I think there are maybe 4 types of memory patches that do basically the same thing just in different ways. I used a memory patch that doesn’t use any of the ENB stuff with it I’m pretty sure. The ENB stuff is your issue, try finding a patch not related to ENB at least I think anyway. Also there are tools you could experiment with that like inject .dll files together kind of but not sure it would work here.

The new features sound cool can’t wait to check them out. Will the new update require .NET 4.0? I know it’s a weird question but I have an issue going with .NET when it tries to update from a a corrupted 3.7. Anyway just curious if it will require it? I just don’t want to do a windows re-install right now.

Anyone who has this kind of setup, please give me your thoughts and comments for the amount of enjoyment, if any that you’ve had.

After you get it set up and you know the certain settings to tweak to get it just right for you, you’ll have a great time. I’m sticking with DK2 until it’s unsupported but the CV1 I’m sure will meet your expectations and then some. Voprx is a really great tool for getting the “just right” set up for a lot of games. Prety much buy vorpx and have it ready fro when you get the CV1… resistance is futile..

Bet ya I can get GTA V to boot into 3D and use a controller, steering wheel & pedals, flight stick, motion gun all at the same time… It takes a ton of set up the first time but after that it’s easy. Flying a helicopter around in VR is the best I’m telln you.

As long as the developer (one man project) insists on doing everything himself and not adding an option that you can add custom profiles I think this would never happen.

I liked vorpX but as further updates which add new games only there to get new customers who don´t have VorpX already I hardly think Ralf will add such an option to his software.

It´s all about the money you know. Even this stupid copy protection makes me mad as I bought it and when you re-install it on the same system it changes the code you have to send to him. That is ridiculous as the copy protection checks for changes in the reg – and everyone knows as soon as you install or uninstall something the registry has been altered… so I am no longer supporting this software and hope that the new Oculus will be as good that I don´t have to be dependent of VorpX anymore.

Yeah that’s not true… vorpX adds new games as often as old games. The additions of features from when I bought it till now is 20 fold probably. Tell you the truth when Oculus decided to just dump direct mode and leave a lot of devs just kinda hanging and vorpX kind of had to be rebuilt to work without direct mode. Up until then things were crackin up in this beezy dude with all kinds of updates. I’m sure I’m over simplifying it but you get the idea. If your butt hurt be butt hurt at Oculus for jerking people around every other month about something new* or straight up lying about prices, lying about support, lying about games, lying about features… The truth is all games are a little different. It’s those little things that vorpx does for you 90% of the time. It’s those little things that take a lot of time to tune in and code and make work for each and every individual profile or game. Windows 10 also is having all kinds of issues I’m sure they are trying to get that handled too. If you haven’t noticed most people/devs are having issues with windows 10 (surprise-surprise) so that’s not really vorpx fault either.

Even if vorpX bounced tomorrow Ive gotten my moneys worth that’s for damn sure. That’s not to say I wouldn’t love faster more plentiful updates but hell I’d also like to not be charged $700 for a cloth wrapped head set you cant clean and comes with a bunch of crap no one wants(forced games, controller, goofy as hell headphones, no vorpx like support so you cant play your fav games only mostly shit ones from oculus store)… I could go on and on about how much I don’t like oculus but the point is vorpx is pretty damn sweet.

    * the word new does NOT men something better, or true, or wanted…

Just found a way to bump up the fov to whatever you want from a dev on a steam forum, for 120 set it to 6500:

How to Change FOV in Firewatch
Open up the registry editor by typing regedit.exe into your Windows search bar.

Navigate your registry to the following key

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    Software
    CampoSanto
    Firewatch
    fovAdjust_h2041137991

Right click on fovAdjust_h2041137991 and choose Modify. Set the base to be Decimal.

Our default FOV is 55. Set the value to be 100 times the amount you want to adjust the FOV by. For example, if you wanted the FOV to be 90 you need to increase the FOV by 35. So the value of fovAdjust_h2041137991 should be 3500 (35 * 100).

If you wanted the FOV to be 45, you would be removing 10, so set the value to be -1000.

Please note that the FOV can only be adjusted while Firewatch is not running.

Let me guess your using the steam version. Mr. DoucheBag iankemp didn’t tell anyone up front that all these games he’s talking about are the dvd versions and do not run through steam.

The only d bag around here right now is you VRISHERE80. Seriously either your a drug addict crack head, or you like 12. Believe it or not dumb ass but millions upon millions of physical copies have been sold you giant jack ass. Ralph I’m sorry but this VRISHERE80 jack nut is awful. His weird posts about diamonds like he has been getting into the dust off…

Any way I for one thank Kemp for testing these out and reporting back. It’s all good info for people looking so get off the internet if people being helpful twists your panties. Seriously what a giant ass hat VRISHERE80 is.. damn..

Sounds like a FOV issue. Vorpx juices it up to 120ish for VR but normal is probably like 80-90. You could either use the vorpx set up thing and undo the vorpx optimization stuff. Or you could open console in game and put fov 85.

Been seeing a lot about this game and it looks like a perfect fit for VR. Would be sweet if a G3D profile could be cooked up. Anyone know if you can get the fov up to 120ish? I’m waiting to pick it up until I can play it in VR but it looks neat.

I look forward to it! Sounds like it should be a kick in the pants at least just to try it out. I have the first Titan so it will put up a fight but I’m sure it’ll be smokin after some VR tests :)

I hear you, I bet its a major performance hit. I’m not expecting performance but at least a G3d profile would be nice. That way anyone who is into trying it can start tuning it in. I want to have the profile so I can experiment with different texture builds to see what performance I can squeeze out. Also when the GECK comes out I’m sure there will be a bunch of in-depth performance mods that will get the memory consumption down.

I will probably take a whack at modding the open world to be less open if that makes sense. Close up a lot of the open buildings and make them have their own separate interior spaces (more like old Bethesda games).

Anyway a hot fix or mini update to include the option to mess with a G3D profile? If you can get just the functionality to work like it does in Skyrim/New Vegas then let us worry about how to get the frames on our particular machines.

You did such a great job with the other Bethesda titles I’m looking forward to trying it out in Fallout 4. Remember I just want the functionality, I’m not expecting you to somehow make the game run or perform better.

I don’t notice any slowdown when I play with Z3D, so I guess that’s the way to go for this one. I only really want G3D for positional tracking, but if you can get it working in Z3D then that’s cool too. I have a feeling down the road there will be memory patches, and other mods to help with frame rates. Bethesda games usually have a lot of trimming that can be done behinde the scenes and in a few months hopefully it will have better management over resources but who knows untill they really start digging into the game files.

Do you think performance will get better or is it just the games is demanding in the first place? I can run a modded Skyrim and New Vegas so if I can get vanilla Fallout 4 to work as good as those in G3D I’ll be a happy camper.
