Ralf sorry if I ask you, but technically, how did you solve the problem on the game on day one, the one where it started at 4 fps?

I’m Italian and I use google translator, so I don’t know if I understand correctly. but then also in your opinion after the latest vorpx update some games drop in performance compared to before?

hi everyone, i keep having problems with this game. latency suddenly increases and fps drop. with any graphics setting, whether there is ray tracing or not, whether it is in 2k or fullhd. That’s fine as long as I don’t switch to the desktop or go into the game options. it starts giving me problems. I don’t know what Ralf did to fix the initial problem he made the hotfix with, but I still believe that’s where the problem is. I have tried 150 games with vorpx and this is the only game that gives me this kind of problem. both using openxr and with steam and virtual desktop.

open windows defender and on threat notification, allow the use of vorx

Hello everyone, I update you. I finally solved it! I no longer have any drop in frames. always with virtual desktop and steam vr. I have disabled the AWS option on oculus debug tool. now the frame rate is constant and I have no more latency. I would still like to try the openxr method. I just have a doubt, since I’m going to write the registry, is there a procedure to return to the previous state? in case you encounter other problems and want to continue with VD and sTEAM VR? airlink does not satisfy me very much

it seems, without ray tracing, the frame rate remains stable. Du1go can you confirm?

DU1G0 since you also use virtual desktop, if you activate the performance overlay on the virtual desktop menu, you will notice that the fps decreases and the latency increases exponentially. by chance you also have resident evil 7? can you try it and see if it equals resident evil 8?

however i dont think it is a cable or virtual desktop problem. but of the vorpx software. because if the demo works well, the full game must also work well. besides, the problem I have only with this game, indeed with this and with resident evil 7, after the hotfix, made for the problem of resident evil 8.

I also tried with air link and the problem remains. what I really don’t understand is how it is possible that the demo worked fine and why also resident evil 7, which used to work fine now has the same problem as 8. Ralf and Ran, thanks anyway for your interest

I’m crazy. After the latest update of vorpx resident evil 8 and resident evil 7 they became unplayable. whether the settings are high or idle the game does not exceed 25fps. I don’t really understand why! I don’t think it’s a settings problem because games like exodus enchanted at maximum settings works great at 90fps! I use oculus quest 2 with virtual desktop, the only thing I noticed is that in resident evil 7 and 8 after a minute of playing the latency increases me up to 100ms.

I still have a problem, he only does it with this game. after a minute of play the latency increases and the framerate decreases. it’s not a performance issue, because with other games and the demo it worked fine. I can’t understand what it can be
