Alright after I updated VorpX and told Windows Defender to “allow” it, Rocket League works. Turns out I wasn’t running 21.1.0 (though VorpX did update before I started so I thought I was on the latest version but wasn’t). I didn’t need to use hook helper.
Sorry about taking up your time Ralf. Next time I will also post up what version of VorpX I am running.
Multiplayer isn’t working on Rocket League but that has nothing to do with VorpX since it happens even when VorpX is off.
markbradley1982ParticipantI’m not using the epic version. I’m using the version on steam, but it told me to link to my epic account which I did. I still launch it from steam.
Also I can’t get it to work. Again I must stress this is the steam version, it only asked me to link to my epic account inside the game. But this game refuses to work with VorpX now when before it used to work perfectly.
What do I do to fix this issue?
markbradley1982ParticipantAlternative hook method also fails.
markbradley1982ParticipantI also tried installing hook helper and it still doesn’t help. While it does install successfully, it just outputs “next up” into my headset.
I don’t know what’s going on, rocket league used to work perfectly.
markbradley1982Participant“I actually enjoy that it’s a seated experience”
You can actually play them standing to. I do that with a wireless Xbox controller. Feels really immersive. You can use Vive wands in lieu of an xbox controller to free up your hands further though remember you won’t have motion controller support.
markbradley1982ParticipantI’m really interested in this as well
Dec 27, 2019 at 5:35am in reply to: How does VorpX Desktop Viewer compare to Virtual Desktop/BigScreen? #191271markbradley1982ParticipantVorpX has a much clearer screen than Big Screen and even Virtual Desktop; it also offers stereoscopic 3D for many non VR games out of the box which Big Screen and Virtual Desktop can not offer without additional tools.
markbradley1982ParticipantOh that is excellent news! Thanks for both hints! Also I love that fun fact! VorpX has been an amazing ride and I’m happy more people keep getting introduced to it. It’s such an awesome tool! VorpX has brought me hundreds of hours worth of enjoyment and there’s so much more to explore!
markbradley1982ParticipantVorpX is well worth the purchase
markbradley1982ParticipantYou should post this in the tech support section
markbradley1982ParticipantHow come I’m not seeing this when I play Rocket League?
markbradley1982ParticipantCurrently I don’t think it is possible, but I wonder if 3 degrees of movement mouse emulation on Vive controllers would be possible instead of on the headset as an optional feature that Ralf could add
markbradley1982ParticipantVorpX needs to work with Natural Locomotion too. These forms of adaptive locomotion would go a long way to making VorpX a more fluid unmissable experience.
I thought VorpX already worked with Natural Locomotion because NL just binds the movement to keyboard, mouse, or vive wands?
markbradley1982ParticipantSteam isn’t running as admin and neither is Rocket League (neither give me a UAC prompt).
I will try to get VorpX to hook without admin again and will report the results.
markbradley1982ParticipantCan you possibly make a profile for the original Attack on Titan?
