Have to look into that. If you want, you can disable the offending shader yourself with the shader authoring tool. Shader authoring can be enabled in the config app (main page).
Okay. Is that sort of a trial and error process? The way I fixed it for now is disabling all lens flares. The lens flares also don’t track properly when I move my head around. I remember the lens flares used to be perfect, but surely an update to the game broke it.
markbradley1982ParticipantDont know about these games but you can use that same mod for Doom for Heretic and Hexen
That mod won’t work because these are Build engine games not Doom engine games.
markbradley1982ParticipantIs it worth getting into Star Trek Online now? I love playing Bridge Crew with my friends and have been on a big Star Trek kick, binging on TNG (the remaster is amazing).
markbradley1982ParticipantShort update: “works fine” was a bit premature. While 3D works fine, the game handles FOV in a rather unusual fashion: it’s essentially impossible to set an FOV value that is both horizontically and vertically correct when playing with a headset.
Long story short: the profile will not be included in the next update. I *may* take another look later, but can’t promise anything.

Any update on this? I would love to see build engine games supported in VorpX such as Blood. Is it possible to get it to work in an immersive screen instead of full VR? I would love to play these games (as well as Rise of the Triad 94 with the WinROTTGL port) in stereoscopic 3D especially since I’ve been playing a lot of GZ3Doom lately in my Vive.
markbradley1982Participantdh you can only play in 2D in VR … but if you switch to the side by side format in 3D you get real 3D !!! … wow … I was real flashed that it is so easy without a detour via “VorpX” …
Ugh so if I want to play this in native VR, as soon as I go on foot it switches to 2D instead of SBS? I would prefer a solution that lets me play in native VR where available, and then changes over to SBS 3D when on foot. Extremely lame the devs couldn’t do this when they were so close
markbradley1982ParticipantThe game has native geometrical 3D … !!! … VorpX is not needed at most for head movements or the FullVR mode.
3D in Side by Side can even be set with 3D depth strength in the graphics options !! … then press F6 or F7 with Virtual Desktop for the 3D view with the VR glasses …
Perhaps someone can create a VorpX profile that supports the native 3D mode of the game itself … for this VorpX would only have to support the stereoscopic 3D mode in Side by Side like Virtual Destop does … or all 3D TVs that are still running and 3D projectors. So the game outputs side by side stereoscopic 3D and thus requiring Virtual Desktop? So what happens if you play the game in native VR (which normally results in not using Virtual Desktop) and go on foot?
markbradley1982ParticipantI’m interested. Any luck so far? There’s a separate forum for getting games to hook.
markbradley1982ParticipantI know this is an old friend, but I really would LOVE the OpenGL versions of these build engine games to work in VorpX.
markbradley1982ParticipantThanks for the tips Ralf!
markbradley1982Participant“Even people who don’t like vorpx in general, praise the vorpx experience in Cyberpunk 2077. It is very close to regular VR Games, that is the reason why they like it.”
I hope this turns them into believers. All I ever expected from VorpX back when I bought it on March 2017 is to give my VR headset all of the functions of a really nice 3Dtv for my non VR PC games and it has far exceeded those expectations. I have logged hundreds of hours with VorpX.
markbradley1982ParticipantI noticed ever since the FOV hack update the intro screens and video jitters a bit and that includes the VorpX hint screens. Is anyone else experiencing this? Everything stop jittering and is normal once the Cyberpunk title screen shows up.
markbradley1982ParticipantDue to the lack of 3D reconstruction, I decided to reset VorpX to factory settings. This reset VorpX to default settings. So now Cyberpunk starts in VR mode with 3D enabled to correct settings. It looks like this update has the hacked FOV settings, they look great and it’s having me reconsider using VR mode now instead of immersive screen.
One issue. My middle mouse button that is the scroll wheel is physically broken as a mouse button. The scroll wheel works, but the middle mouse button function of the scrollwheel is broken. So I am unable to use edgepeek in the default settings. No problem right? I can just change the in-game bindings right. Well I changed it to Mouse X1 which is my mouse’s left side button. Unfortunately despite changing this keybinding in VorpX and confirming it’s saved, it doesn’t work when I try to enter edge peak mode. I remember having a similar problem like a year ago too. No matter what I do, I can’t remap it to Mouse X1. Would it be possible to look into this Ralf? I am having this issue right after a factory reset too. Otherwise everything is perfect!
markbradley1982ParticipantI just got the new VorpX version downloaded to my PC (Version 21.1.1).
Cyberpunk starts with 3D reconstruction turned off by default after the update and I have to set it back to Z-normal and increase the 3D effect to 2.0. Any ideas why this behavior happened? Before this update my settings were tweaked a bit because I changed it from VR mode to Immersive Screen mode but other than that I left it alone.
markbradley1982ParticipantI’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 exclusively on my Vive using VorpX instead of on my 70 inch 4k tv hooked up to my PC. The 3D effect and extra immersion is that good.
markbradley1982Participant“The NPCs are living, it is not comparable to Assassins Creed in Z3D and Third Person.”
Speaking of that, anyway to make the Z3D in Assassins Creed this good?
