OgrescarParticipantI just started up Far Cry 4 and the only issue I had was the “attaching to…” dialog popping up before the game had finished initializing. Ignoring it or selecting “do nothing” works, for me anyway – don’t have a G2/WMR setup.
OgrescarParticipantMy advice, to anyone not familiar with mod organizer and skse, is to not use them with vorpx. I do so because I had a heavily modded skyrim environment already built, long before I had even heard of vorpx.
At present I think I’m down to about 160 mods, and many of them are irrelevant because they don’t change the display, but the ones that do work very well with vorpx (even the one’s that add physics to the female skeletons).
OgrescarParticipantSkyrim is the most-modded game in history – can’t imagine playing it without skse and mod organizer. I don’t like the .ini file redirection though, but it can be turned off easily enough. You can always delete skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini and the game will recreate them with default values.
OgrescarParticipantIt’s a Unity game I think. Shouldn’t be too difficult to get a profile up and running.
OgrescarParticipantI’m not sure what you mean by a “Direct VR button”, but it sounds like you’re seeing the game in a virtual cinema mode. IIRC, the default profile settings for the game are fullvr with G3D reconstruction; maybe you should ensure that vorpx is actually hooking it, and if so do a factory reset on the profile.
OgrescarParticipantI don’t know about the base game, but Z3D works for AS2 Cold War using the “the surge” profile. It’s not G3D, but it’s not flat either.
OgrescarParticipantI doubt that the profile has anything to do with your issue. I played the game for about an hour using the Conan Exiles profile, and while the 3D had issues, it didn’t lock up SteamVR.
OgrescarParticipantIf your fps falls to 30, the hmd will still run at it’s refresh rate, provided that your gpu has the power to do so.
OgrescarParticipantYou can’t delete it. If you want to make an alternate profile for a supported game, you’ll need to make a copy of the .exe with a different name.
OgrescarParticipantI’ve had similar problems on occasion. When they occur, I just hide the second monitor with Win-P before launching the game.
OgrescarParticipantIMO, the only thing you can rely on Geforce Experience to do is to screw up your settings, in this or any other game.
OgrescarParticipantIt’s not your PC. Everytime it crashes on me, I just go and play something else. I figure a patch down the road or Ralf’s magic touch will fix it sooner or later.
OgrescarParticipantBTW, if you’re getting a lot of lag try putting a framerate limit on the game. Otherwise VD or vorpx may be fighting with the game for resources.
OgrescarParticipantI tried setting up amnesia rebirth/depth3d with the dolphin profile in the past and it didn’t work, probably because vorpx was hooking in before reshade. Probably the same case for exanima. You’ll have more luck with the desktop viewer or virtual desktop – depending upon whether your running the game windowed or fullscreen may make a difference. In general, I think VD does a better job with fullscreen and vorpx desktop works better in windowed mode.
OgrescarParticipantThose settings are only applicable to games and apps that already output in a stereo format. All of the media player profiles have the same type of settings. I use a copy of sottr profile for mpv media player because the official profile doesn’t work at present.
Unless your generic game can output in sbs format, there’s nothing to activate.
