OgrescarParticipant
The SOMA profile in the cloud actually works with SOMA, it just doesn’t work with anything else, AFAIK.
OgrescarParticipantThe main thing that is different between FullVR and immersive mode are the shaders that comprise the GUI. I would assume that PD took the time to identify those prior to uploading his profile, but I guess he’s too busy making videos to be bothered with such trivial matters.
In any case, the game looks simple enough – there are probably only 1-2 shaders that make up the GUI and can be fixed with the shader authoring tool by changing their mode from normal to viewport. Once they’ve been identified the GUI will be resizable for FullVR in the vorpx menu, and will activate edgepeek.
You would also have to adjust the headtracking as necessary to correspond to your fov.
OgrescarParticipantI can’t really answer your question about the registry stuff, but I don’t think that it matters. You can try re-installing Sekiro – it’s a long shot, but from your description of the problem, the game and the profile don’t match.
If you have the GOTY edition you can see if it works offline. Another long shot, but I’m running out of ideas.
OgrescarParticipantI don’t understand your definition of virtual cinema. Paradise
Decay’s profile renders the game in G3D and can be played in Cinema, Immersive, or FullVR modes, just like every other vorpx compatible game. I don’t know if the headtracking works, but there’s no reason to believe it doesn’t. The same is true of Perkel’s profile, with the exception that it uses Z3D instead of G3D.FullVR mode with the G3D profile is as close to “real” VR as you’re likely to get with vorpx. An official profile would be nice, but it’s not a showstopper.
OgrescarParticipantI used to have one that actually worked (G3D) but, unfortunately, I lost my entire profile database when vorpx config crashed for some inexplicable reason, and can’t recall which base profile I used. It might have been a UE3 profile but that’s just a wild guess. There are some profiles in the cloud but the last time I checked they were all flat.
Anyway, it’s doable with vorpx, if you can find a compatible base profile.

OgrescarParticipantI just installed the 1.10 update and have no issues with vorpx hooking it – it had to recompile the shaders but that’s to be expected. Maybe something in the LocalCacheDX12 folder is causing it.
OgrescarParticipantSomething weird is happening with your game version or the hook itself. I just checked the game and all modes work, including z-normal and z-adaptive. I’m running the GOTY version, but it should work with other versions irregardless. Maybe there’s a duplicate profile that creeped its way into your local profiles – it doesn’t sound like the Sekiro profile is getting loaded correctly.
I’d try uninstalling vorpx, reboot, and re-install.
OgrescarParticipantI fail to see your point. HelixVision performance loss is no where near 10-15%. The last time I tried it, the framerate was around 30 fps and the flickering was so bad that it made me dizzy.
OgrescarParticipantThere’s a world of difference between games that were designed for 3d/vr versus those that were not. 3D Vision requires/required a stereo profile for a game before it would work, which essentially required collaboration between the game developer and nvidia – the game devs tackled the stereo rendering up front.
I’ve used tridef, perception, superdepth3dvr, helixvision, and vorpx to get 3d in games that weren’t specifically designed for stereo, and among those, vorpx is the leader in terms of performance. HelixVision uses 3d vision, but in games that weren’t designed for stereo, it doesn’t perform as well as vorpx, and is extremely limited (requires old nvidia drivers, etc.).
OgrescarParticipantI’d suggest resetting the profile to factory default and checking for game overlays or av programs that may be interfering then. I was playing Sekiro in G3D just a couple of weeks ago, so it’s not the profile.
You may want to update your video drivers as well if you haven’t done so recently and set all the game’s graphics options to low – I don’t think there’s anything in there that would break Sekiro’s G3D but I could be mistaken.
OgrescarParticipantYou probably need to set Geometry mode if the vorpx menu, click “ok and save”, and restart the game. Vorpx may skip some steps for performance reasons if you start a game up in a z-mode.
OgrescarParticipantThat depends upon the launcher you’re using. It defaults to dx12, but can be overridden in steam or gog launchers to use dx11. Alternately, you can pass “-dx11” in as a command line parameter (without the quotes of course).

OgrescarParticipantNevermind. I see that ParadiseDecay already uploaded a unity based profile. I assume that your goal was z3d and not g3d.
OgrescarParticipantMake sure that the game is launched in dx12 mode for the HZD profile. Vorpx should prompt you to install a hook helper, which you will need for dx12. (Sometimes this fails for some reason, may need to try it more than once).
You can get the same z3d with the Grounded profile (and probably a performance loss), but the game must be launched in dx11 mode for this profile.
You should be seeing some activity from vorpx regardless of the profile you use. Make sure that you don’t have an AV or game overlay blocking the hook.
