OgrescarParticipant
I don’t know about lighting mods, but we’re talking about the unreal engine, so you can do a lot with the graphics by changing some settings in the config files. Bioware purposefully blurred lo-res textures to make them less noticeable, for example.
OgrescarParticipantThe last time I looked at this, the Tokyo 42 profile in the cloud rendered z3d. It was pretty weak, compared to what I got in Tridef, but there was some depth there. Not sure what the base profile is, but it’s Unity 5.1.
The game can’t be hooked in fullscreen, so run borderless or windowed.
OgrescarParticipantI think you need to change your device selection in vorpx config to SteamVR instead of Oculus.
OgrescarParticipantClicking Apply is unnecessary. You only have to do that if you change something on the general tab, or if you add an .exe to the excluded programs.
OgrescarParticipantVery strange. I started up the game and vorpx hooked it without error. I didn’t do anything to correct the problem – it just went away. I’ll have to reassess my hatred of Rockstar.
OgrescarParticipantI admit the graphics in that vid look pretty good, but I’d really like to see a comparison to the hi-res packs you can get from Nexus. Some of the comparisons also appear to be taken at different screen resolutions, which is a little bit misleading.
OgrescarParticipantI’ve had a similar problem. Unfortunately, I never found a solution. The game tells me that the social club is out of date, even after I updated it. Doesn’t happen unless vorpx hooks it; runs fine otherwise.
OgrescarParticipantI wouldn’t exactly call those low requirements.
Some of these re-masters don’t appear to be anything other than stealing what modder’s have done over the past couple of decades and selling it as a new product. I’d check Nexus Mods before buying to see if you’re getting your dollars worth.

I share your feelings. Native VR games, for me, have been a sad disappointment. Holding my arms out until my shoulders ache in order to fly is not fun; ducking my head down to swim is just stupid; if I want to shoot an arrow give me a button, don’t make me use my controllers like a bow, blah blah blah. Maybe if I had a holodeck…
There are certainly exceptions. HL Alyx, SkyrimVR (kind of, but I prefer vorpx/SkyrimSE), Moss, etc., but most are exercise in silly antics and gestures that makes my dog think I’ve gone nuts.
OgrescarParticipantThe answer to this question, even though it’s obvious, should be in a FAQ – it’s asked frequently enough.
OgrescarParticipantI have been informed that the SOMA profile exhibits the same behavior – basically, it doesn’t work any better than the Amnesia Rebirth profile.
I apologize for the misinformation.
OgrescarParticipantXCOM2 – Z-Normal –
Although it was a game using Unreal Engine, this game did not become three-dimensional in the profile of Unreal Engine.
I don’t know what profile(s) you tried, but it is G3D Compatible with Bioshock Infinite.
OgrescarParticipantGiven the nature of the vulkan api, I think vorpx support is a long, long shot. IMO, I could be totally wrong.
OgrescarParticipantShadows are always a bit of a hassle. I usually set them as user defined shadows so that they can be switched on/off in the vorpx menu (display or image tab, can’t recall which).
OgrescarParticipantRalf deserves the thanks. I just pointed you to a web page.
