Something weird is happening with your game version or the hook itself. I just checked the game and all modes work, including z-normal and z-adaptive. I’m running the GOTY version, but it should work with other versions irregardless. Maybe there’s a duplicate profile that creeped its way into your local profiles – it doesn’t sound like the Sekiro profile is getting loaded correctly.

I’d try uninstalling vorpx, reboot, and re-install.

I fail to see your point. HelixVision performance loss is no where near 10-15%. The last time I tried it, the framerate was around 30 fps and the flickering was so bad that it made me dizzy.

There’s a world of difference between games that were designed for 3d/vr versus those that were not. 3D Vision requires/required a stereo profile for a game before it would work, which essentially required collaboration between the game developer and nvidia – the game devs tackled the stereo rendering up front.

I’ve used tridef, perception, superdepth3dvr, helixvision, and vorpx to get 3d in games that weren’t specifically designed for stereo, and among those, vorpx is the leader in terms of performance. HelixVision uses 3d vision, but in games that weren’t designed for stereo, it doesn’t perform as well as vorpx, and is extremely limited (requires old nvidia drivers, etc.).

I’d suggest resetting the profile to factory default and checking for game overlays or av programs that may be interfering then. I was playing Sekiro in G3D just a couple of weeks ago, so it’s not the profile.

You may want to update your video drivers as well if you haven’t done so recently and set all the game’s graphics options to low – I don’t think there’s anything in there that would break Sekiro’s G3D but I could be mistaken.

You probably need to set Geometry mode if the vorpx menu, click “ok and save”, and restart the game. Vorpx may skip some steps for performance reasons if you start a game up in a z-mode.

That depends upon the launcher you’re using. It defaults to dx12, but can be overridden in steam or gog launchers to use dx11. Alternately, you can pass “-dx11” in as a command line parameter (without the quotes of course).

Nevermind. I see that ParadiseDecay already uploaded a unity based profile. I assume that your goal was z3d and not g3d.

Make sure that the game is launched in dx12 mode for the HZD profile. Vorpx should prompt you to install a hook helper, which you will need for dx12. (Sometimes this fails for some reason, may need to try it more than once).

You can get the same z3d with the Grounded profile (and probably a performance loss), but the game must be launched in dx11 mode for this profile.

You should be seeing some activity from vorpx regardless of the profile you use. Make sure that you don’t have an AV or game overlay blocking the hook.

That profile doesn’t work. It never has and never will. I admit to making the same mistake originally, but I put “does not work” in the description of the profile I uploaded, once it became clear that it was hosed. It uses some sort of weird alternate-eye presentation which gives the illusion of 3d when there is lateral motion, similar to the Pulfrich effect, but it is extremely difficult on the visual cortex.

There is no vorpx opengl profile that will work. I tried all of them but the game doesn’t implement the frame buffers required by any vorpx profile. Play the game pancake or use something like superdepth3dvr. And stay away from the Doom 2016 profile. It does the same thing.

Dunno. I deleted Rage 2 from my computer a long time ago. Maybe I’ll re-install it.

There’s a non-BFG Doom 3 profile in the cloud that sort of works if you like walking a foot above ground. The VR-modded BFG version is a lot better. I haven’t tried, but Doom 3 would probably work with superdepth3dvr – Doom 2016 works quite well in that regard.

Games do all kinds of inexplicable crap when you alt-tab away, if you even can – some games simply won’t let you, others crash, blah blah blah. Some work flawlessly with vorpx and others are a pain in the arse. As far as Vorpx is concerned, you’re essentially asking it to drop it’s hook and reacquire it because you decided to check your email mid-game.

If there’s absolutely something that you need to do after starting a game with vorpx, set a windows 10 shortcut, use antimicro to map some keystrokes to your controller, or something other than alt-tabbing if the game is misbehaving in that area. It’s almost always the game, not vorpx, that makes alt-tabbing an issue.

I don’t have Valheim so I can’t check out your profile, but I’m wondering why you used an unreal engine profile on a unity game. In my experience, the two don’t work well together.

If your running fullscreen, switch to windowed or borderless.
