Now you can play Tomb Raider 2+3 with DGVoodoo2 and VorpX https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/tomb-raider-2-3/

    UPDATE Jan 16 2020

    Completely redone profile.

Please do not use the profile (marked broken) which
does not work with VorpX 20.1.1

I would say it can become very time taking, especially when a profile has to be redone for some resaons. No guide yet, I would suggest as a good start off to use the vorpx shader tools that every user has access to. With these you can fix many things yourself already.

Nightmode should work now, also “W”. I noticed a random Weapon flicker in “W” but that should be good now. What remains unfixed are the lighting borders on ammo boxes, but i think we can live with that.

Updated Profile is in the cloud.

    My Version is
    Init: Build: 139
    Init: Engine version: 2226

Please see if the game runs without steam (rename steam.exe)
and/or run the game directly from the game folder. If none of the above works
one last thing i can offer is looking into the steam game (without guarantee). If you wish, click on the blue Icon on this page http://rjkole.com?g=124

Sad to here, i guess there is nothing i can do further. DGVoodoo with VorpX is experimental stuff, it may work or may not.
A current version signature problem in the vorpX cloud may be the reason, but i am not shure.

Try the profile directly from here (may help, may not): http://rjkole.com/p_temp/SWRC_DG2554.vpp

All i can suggest is the following,
    – update vorpx to 20.1.1 if not done already
    – Use default settings of DGVoodoo
    — and use game folder as config folder ,set VRAM to 1024
    – try different compatibility modes for the game
    – try different ways to start the game (eg. vorpx shortcut or Alternate hooking)

I fixed the retail game, if you are using a non retail version (steam,GOG) this may causes the crash.

Hello there, i couldnt find anything wrong with this profile exept its relatively old.I found only the candles in the start scene to be not transformed properly. Please note, Edgepeek mode is mono for this game and if you are using Antialiasing the game will be 2D also. So please turn OFF AA. – This game was hard to fix because of some technical reasons, so a very few objects may be still not properly in place.

Nevertheless i have created an alternate profile, optimized for cinema modes that looks a bit better then the old one. HUD is 3D now and gamplay turns out to be easier. – Full VR Mode is still avialable though. Edgepeek has some Depth now.

Note: The forum does not send notifications at the moment, so its a good idea to report to my website below until this is solved.

There is a new profile now on the cloud that is specifically fixed for DGVoodoo2 version 2_55_4. Newer versions may or may not work, try rather older versions then newer ones if you dont have this specific version available.

    – flat objects fixed
    – improved HUD

    Note:
Games that i have fixed for DGVoodoo2 without a version note require v2_55_4 or earlier.

Hope this profile will work now throughout the rest of the game.

I do not have any clue how windows handldes this. If Windows for example reserves a certain amount of memory for each installed application you woul run out of memory some day.

The original is a DOS game too and way too old for VR. You could play the original with “Dosbox” but without 3D reconstruction.

Ok, i read about active and passive Tvs. Still i dont know how these Tvs handle the SBS image. They say passive is only half vertical resoution. Not shure if that would be much satisfying.

I really would like to test that. But before i start up i want to make shure that i do buy the right TV.

    @Grocs

Can you give us some advice on the following: ?

    – What exactly type of TV do i need
    – How do i connect it (HDMI/DVI?)
    – On your video i see an SBS image, how does that look like through
your glasses, is that similar to 3d Vision ? , its a bit confusing to me
because 3D Vision is not SBS, can you explain the technique abit ?
    – What if i want to play a game in a widescreen mode, will i have black
borders on that SBS image (or see them through the glasses) ?
    – Will i need to sit in a certain distance away from the TV ?

Ive seen SBS test movies on a normal monitor but i dont have any idea how an SBS image can be seen as a 3D image if not be crossing the eyes.

    Note:
Later in the game there are some glitches that i wasnt able to fix yet because of the lack of a trainer/Cheat.
