RJK_ParticipantIt works nicely on the remastered edition too
Good to know. Thanks for the Feedback .
RJK_ParticipantIve just tested a demo of the game v1.000 but it was crashing soon as a hit the drive button. That game is really really old and i would doubt that you will have big fun in VR with it. Respecting that this perhaps is your favorite game though i would suggest trying something newer with better graphics. There are hundrets of newer racing games that you can buy used for a few cent only.
Another thing you could do ist trying the opengl renderer (graphics settings). Use either the Descent2 or Quake3/4 profile for it.
RJK_ParticipantThanks for the offer but i rather use official games for my profiles because different game versions very often differ that much that a profile doesnt work anymore.
What you can do yourself is open the vorpx ingame shader editing page and step through the single shaders. That way you can find out if the interior is set to “no stereo” for example. If so deactivate that shader or try different settings for that.
Important: When importing a profile, also try the different ways you import them. There is an option saying “keep special shader settings” or similar. En or disabling this can make a big difference but you alsways have the option to edit them manually.
RJK_ParticipantYou can either try out some of my cloud profiles (marked with d3d8to9 – user rjkole) if you are using this dll (v1.9). Or try DGVoodoo2 v 2.55.4 with some of my DGVoodoo2 profiles from the cloud. They are all different so its worth going through them. Some games though are only partly 3D in main which is hopefully not the case with your game.
RJK_ParticipantNot Z3D related, Perhaps you rather want to play G3D instead of Z3D. You may try out the G3D profile for GRID 2 i have in the cloud. Close release dates give you a good chance of G3D for your game using the same game engine.

RJK_ParticipantNot shure if this can be a useful for alice, but some games ignore the settings you make and fall back (reset the user setting to the monitors setting) to the monitor resolution setting. In such cases making the actual monitor resolution matching the game resolution can help for higher custom res. (This will probably not count for directVR games).
RJK_ParticipantNot shure if you would reach the mass with such a price. I see some phsychological barriers as well which i beleive are kept well in mind with the current pricing.
RJK_Participant@ draku1t0n Just yesterday ive finished a 3D Profile for the Lander, read here
@ delrifter22 thanks for the hint. The program is not DX8 but very early DX9. Installing the version mentioned above should not produce the error message (tested on WIn7)
RJK_ParticipantMy assumption is that the different light sources which differ in distance to each eye result in very different shadows. Depending on the number of light sources and the distance to each eye you get more ore less “Stereo shadows” (different shadows for each eye). I think vorpX is catching that with the shader tools quite well (no stereo, no transform, shadow ect). I think a universal solution would be too much resource eating and at the end you have still some light sources/shadows beeing not covered by random reflections for example. New games are very complex concerning that. (hope im not talking crap here

RJK_Participantvorpx is a must have for Vr lovers, i repeat vorpx is 100% must have for all VR owners.
There is no alternative to vorpX. At least not in this solar system.
RJK_ParticipantMost shadows can easily be fixed by using the shader settings page.
– Step through the shaders in “Hide” mode (right top)
– When ever a broken shadow disapperas make the corresponding shader “active”
– Either set the active shader to “shadow” or “dont render”, sometimes other settings can help as well like “no stereo” for exapmle
– Most games have more then one “shadow” shader, so proceed until you have fixed all of them
– Tipp: Setting shaders to “shadow” enables you to use the “G3D shadow treatment” setting on the image settings page so you can switch beetween modes / disable shadows with one mouse clickNot shure though if this can be done with factory profiles. If not, make a copy of the profile and rename the exe of the game. Add the renamed exe to the user profile.
RJK_ParticipantAdditional Info: Set game to Windowed Mode before forcing resolution with DGVoodoo2 to prevent flickering.
RJK_ParticipantFor more 3D strength (3d effect) change the “3D Strength/Scale” setting on the VorpX main SettÃngs page.
RJK_ParticipantAlso try Windows XP compatibility mode and make shure your game equals the AIO patch. Other Versions may not work at all.
