    Hmm, true, not that many games require to equalize monitor and game setting, but for such cases it helps me a lot. When i want to start that one game may be 50 times a day (especially for testing and profile creation) and do some other work in beetween it saves me bunch of “clicktime”.

    Hope my posting didnt raise an impression like VorpX couldnt handle resolutions, just thought it could save some time for others as well.

    This is weird because you are using DGVoodoo2, vorpx should hook into the game when using the base profile.(Not one game i have tried so far refused to work, though many were 2D only) the only thing i can imagine is the remake is using iether OpenGL or DX9. To verify this try different DX9 profiles with the game eg. Tombraider Legend, Halo ect. or try an openGL profile eg. Quake4, Descent2. Also make shure that you add the proper games executable to the profile. IF vorpx is hooking with one of the methods above and you have no 3D, you can put the game on the wishlist.

    First you must find out the Directx version the game is using. Anything below DX7/8 will not work with VorpX in 3D. If it has DX7 or 8 there is a chance of 3D. When using the default DGVoodoo3 profile and you dont see any 3D right away you may go through the shader settings page and step through the shaders with option (top right) “Hide”. If you meet a shader that makes the game 3D, make that shader “active”. Then do the fine tuning like 3D strength ect.

    I made an announcement a while ago in the geforce forums about the vorpX shader tools but got no response. Even my announcement that some helixmod shaderfixed are compatible with vorpx strangely didnt raise much interest.

    ngreeda, LOL

    To be honest i havent been using 3D-Vision since i purchased VorpX. May be one or two times and for testing something. Soon (or maybe already ?) we will have more games working then the helixmod. I dont know much about 3D TVs, but cant the VorpX Side by Side to monitor output already be used for what you describe ?

    It looks like its gonna turn out like with the old Elsa and analog monitor stuff to keep the last 3D-Vision driver on a seperate PC for those who want to keep going with the “other” stuff.

    Sad, very sad, i agree.

    @Ralf
    Perhaps a warning (red bar) would make sense like “changing default setting may have impact on FOV” or similar, for the unexperienced user.

    If you are into lock picking and your locks are invisible (note: its not a vorpX problem, its a games problem) make the following ini changes to make them visible again.

    Edit My Documents\My games\Fallout 4\Fallout4.ini

    Change sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\,
    to: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, INTERFACE\

    under [Interface] add:
    fLockPositionY=100.0000
    fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateZ=-18.5000
    fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateY=460.0000

    tested with Borderless FullScreen up to 3200×2600

    .

    Cant wait for your reports on the image quality and destortion compared to the VIVE Pro. They are not using the fresnell lenses as far i know.

    Solution !

    Put a 64bit version of the d3dcompiler_47.dll into the game directory, this will make VorpX hook again, the same counts for Skyrim SE.

    You can find one for example in your steam x64 subfolder.

    Probably an incompatibility of a syswow64 dll installed by an unknown application. (or the user himself )

    @Spacelexar try the “Unreal(G3D)” profile for more depth, Weapons should have normal size at any resolution . See screenshot above.

    Direct integration into a game, hope that many devs will jump on that, could bring a bunch of money to vorpx as well.

    UPDATE for VorpX 19.1.1

    The above profile did not work anymore with the newest VorpX, there is a new (G3D) profile with fixed shaders in the cloud now.

    – fixed shaders
    – optimized for cinema modes
