    Jet Simulator (G3D)

This is a re-release of the 2005 Jet Simulator ISBN: 4019393963836 (english). Dont get confused by “microsoft” printed on the package, it probably has nothing to do with microsoft. The game is also known as “Global War on Terror: Death Strike”.

-The cloud profile is using Geometry / Cinema Mode
-if you wish to connect headtracking to plane movement, switch to Full VR
-game stores resolution in crypted file, so you cant get more then 1024×768 out of it
-some parts of HUD are out of depth depending on 3D Strength, if that doesnt annoy you, you can gain 3D strength even further .

To me that sounds like a positional headtracking issue. I heard of pimax not providing this properly. Try disabling positional headtracking instead of headtracking in main. You find this setting on the ingame headtracking page of VorpX.

I forgot, there is a profile in the cloud for this game.

The pimax has real good user ratings as far i can read from the internet, but i fear that headtracking and controllers would not be good as with the vive/oculus.

Which profile exactly were you are using for this ? As far i know vorpX does not provide SBS settings without a profile.

Unfortunately i cant help you here, though i am abit nosy what “standalone” source that could be. Did they release a version which you can play like any other game from disk/DVD without beeing forced to connect to steam ?

I just came to another idea, may be an interesting feature for vorpX. Instead of creating another magnifier how about moving the whole edgepeek screen around ( hotkey+mousebutton ), so for such cases as with Kotor 2 the area that is distorted and too small can be moved temporarily further to the center of the screen for better readability. Releasing the hotkey+mousebutton makes the screen snap back to its original state and position. A function like that could also help for any other object which is too small or/and somewhere at the border of the game. – Or a function like hotkey+mousebutton+mousewheel that even zooms edgepeek screen in and out while moving it around. hmm i hope i am not overdoing it with having ideas…

Yes,shure. I am using an edgepeek size somewhere beetween neckpain and text readability, i guess thats all i could do.

I could lower res. to anlarge text, but thats not we want and it lowers image quality.

Unfortunately i cant remember the profile that was causing the issue so i cant reproduce this at the moment. The image seemed to be rendered on a surface too far away from the viewer that couldnt be handled properly by that profile and i think pos. headtracking had some influence on this. Ill try this first next time.

Anyway, Thanks for the hint, Ralf. BTW: The game was Kotor 2. Same as Kotor 1 where you have to use those room cameras quite often.

just remove the face cushion and try it with a very tiny cushion – you will improve the FOV,

Very interesting to read about this.
Ive tried a smaller face cushion today with the original vive. I can confirm that FOV increases, sharpness in edges only very slightly, but i put back the original one because of the following reasons.

    (You may test this too)
When gaining FOV this way the image size in vorpX must be gained too, otherwise you will see a black border at the lower end of the image. (Full VR Mode) . – But when matching this with the image size you somehow pull the szene back to where it was before and even worse, it seems that you even loose FOV at the end of the day. The charachters seemed to be much closer and i got a little motion sick (havent experienced that is months). To me it felt a little unnatural the way the image looked with this “tweak”.

You could try one of my profiles from the cloud.
    -Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness
    -Avatar (SBS)

This seemed to be a profile specific problem. Right now i am testing a different profile where this is not happening.

Have you tried recalibrating your virtual room (steamVR) ? I could imagine a faulty calibration causes the problem.

    Thanks for answering Ralf.

my fixes only concern broken shaders or ini settings. No DRM bypassing ect. of coarse.
