ParticipantHere is a tip – profile is not G3D(at least for steam version, but I am certain in this particular case versions are same)
It’s a common mistake to kinda see 3D especially with head tracking since motion helps your brain tell depth of things. Ive done it myself – believing there is 3d depth when there is none, but now I cant fool myself as easily. You can check it yourself – turn off headtracking, switch to immersive screen and look away from screen, then open vorpx menu (this way it wont be over game screen) then switch between z3d, g3d and off and you will see no difference. When depth is there there is no doubt, you dont have to kinda see it, because it jumps at you. Game start is in a hotel room and you get to hotel corridor and corridors are one of best things to test depth – you see it clearly when there is one.
I wanted to find a unity profile that would actually work (even if just z3d) and Ive tried all unity 2017 (that game uses) profiles from other games of same unity version and none had any depth. Best I could achieve is having main menu background and mouse on a separate plane. Whats more game has 0 graphic options, cant adjust fov or anything and there are no 3rd party apps to hax for unity like universal unreal unlocker is for ue games, no config files. So it makes adjusting a game even harder.
Anyways Im quite tired of trying like a hundred profiles with absolutely no success so far, so only advice I have for you is to make absolutely sure there is actual depth in game, people have been fooled many times including me (good example is doom 2016 that people were sure had 3d, while even Ralf said it just seemed so)

ParticipantYe, I would recommend rebinding game keys to something you can find while blind, on the edge of keyboard and using additional mouse keys.
All the solutions to press keyboard while in vr require you to have hmd camera or webcam pointing to keyboard along with any free or paid vr overlay apps. Its a hassle to set up and you would eventually decide to use it blind rather than setting it all up each playthrough.
Setup is straightforward, just a hassle with all the steps:
1. find free vr overlay on github
2. run steamvr, run overlay,
3. point webcam to keyboard and output webcam feed to a window
4. attach overlay window to playspace or hmd, doneIf you are on quest 2 (like everyone these days), there were some kind of advertised features to peek your keyboard or maybe a button to see hmd camera feeds that you can use to peek, but I dont have one to say more precise, since you are streaming PC game you can basically use same steps but most of overlays are meant for steamv, maybe there are some for oculus.

Participanteven full vr mode in vorpx is just a screen glued to your face, I dont think you would be able to run any game on any hardware available now with smooth frames if it rendered 360 in vr while being hacked by vorpx to output those 2 stereo views.
Vorpx most likely would look like a 180 screen with blackness on the rest of the sphere, whats more – youtube absolutely destroys any video even if you upload 4k sbs video to it.
Ive tried to watch so many videos of different quality off youtube and even specifically designed vr apps with videos on my vr HMD and up close on vr screen quality is not good.
What Im saying is before you try to have what you want you should consider if you really want it or all the effort put to run it will end up a disappointment.

ParticipantThanks Ralf I was wondering how to get old profile with full body visible and z3d, please dont get rid of the original z3d one, it has its use and I’d like to have a way to back up to it if need be.

ParticipantYou can switch to immersive screen mode and there is a setting to tilt display in vorpx in-game settings

ParticipantBig concern with this is online, Ive heard they ban you without warking for hooking with cheat engine or any other app like vorpx into the game. Whats more game would “remember” if a character you have played offline used any apps that hooked to the game (i.e. potential cheats) and ban you if you go online with that character.
Unless it only concerns DS3, maybe DS2 is different.

ParticipantI just tried this and it has both G3D and Z3D all working with cloud profile if you select “modded realm” in the launcher
Smoils
ParticipantNot such a good idea to use vorpX for online games, most use some form of anti-cheat which will probably flag vorpX as a cheat and get you banned…
As far as I can tell vermintide 2 has anticheat that stops vorpx from hooking, but if you switch to a mode that allows custom mods “for fun” it switches anticheat off and lets you hook, so being banned is unlikely.

ParticipantIf I remember right 2nd uses anticheat that prevents vorpx from hooking and you need to launch it using some kind of “launch with mods” mode that is supposed to let people play custom games without ruining online player games with cheats.

ParticipantI usually put (Z3D/G3D) when Im making profiles, if you search G3D it already shows all profiles that were named that way.
I think its just to profile creators to do the naming following this system.

ParticipantDid you expect it to hook just by itself like it does on *random* applications? I dont really know how vorpx decides to hook to things, but for one you can try to copy a profile and add inventor executable to it to see if it hooks and can try to add hook helper DLLs if it fails after a minute or two.
Smoils
ParticipantYou can make a copy of cyberpunk profile and then you can edit it, you cant edit official profiles.

ParticipantIf you mean performance I think it does affect it if you are playing windowed, but not “exclusive” fullscreen, but sometimes games dont let you put resolution higher than desktop resolution.
It might be a thing that matters from game to game and only way to know for sure is to test it yourself, I mean no harm in it, but I assume if you get any benefit out of it it’d not be much.

Participantstrange if its just a mod using same exe as portal 2 vanilla, but as a workaround you can just hide weapon completely through console commands, thats what I did last time playing portal 2 vanilla in vorpx since weapon looks wrong being too close.

ParticipantI would understand G3D, but overdone Z3D is…how do you even play that. Everything in foreground would not be 3D at all but instead have “holos” around them from artifacts.
When you push Z3D separation too far it has to “fill” pixels where object was and if you push half or even whole object out of its place for each eye (left and right) where it used to be will look like it has glass version of same object and it looks very distracting.
