No sorry, no Gear VR support. That would require vorpX to be able to stream to the phone, which it cannot do at this point.

    Hello,

Can you be more specific about the issues you are experiencing? Maybe someone can help you if you describe what exactly does not work.

You could also contact support |at| vorpx com. As far as I can tell there wasn’t a single forum post or support request from you since you bought vorpX a month ago.

Since I can only guess what your problem might be, the only thing I can do here is recommending to read the help, especially the “Essential Game Hints” guide. It explains briefly how to set things up when you launch a game the first time with vorpX.

Just a little bit patience, please. Thanks.

It’s barely three days since the Oculus SDK 1.3 was made available publically. vorpX will get updated as soon as possible.

For the time being DK2 owners who already installed the new Oculus software can simply use the runtime switcher linked below to use vorpX. CV1 owners: you won’t have to wait long.

The automatic runtime install will not happen anymore in the future.

This was mainly done to avoid huge amounts of support requests during the Oculus runtime 0.x phase which frequently broke compatibilty with prior runtimes. It will be removed now that things are supposed to be more stable.

Sorry. The installer does a safety check to avoid things like this, but apparently the registry key that stores the runtime version was removed (or changed) with 1.3, so this check always failed despite a newer version already being installed. One can only foresee so much…

Automatic runtime download is now disabled completely. So this isn’t an issue anymore.

That can be done with the “Direct Mode Show Original” option on the display page of the ingame menu. This displays the undistorted view.

If you run a game windowed, you *might* be able to drag the game window to another monitor. If you run games fullscreen, they will display on the monitor that the game normally runs on. To get it to another one you would have to capture the image from there.

Please be aware that a GTX660 probably will have a hard time powering any more recent games and vorpX. Minimum recommended in this regard is a GTX970, which is also what Oculus recommends for the Rift.

Just in case you want to use multiple graphics cards in your setup: please also note that the headset has to be connected to the same graphics card that the game runs on for vorpX to work at all.

There is a notable benefit, especially in situations with a too high GPU workload. It’s very difficult now to create severe judder, even with notoriously judder prone games like Witcher 3 for example.

And there *might* even be potential for a general performance gain, I’m hoping for about 15%-20%. But that will require changes to the vorpX render pipeline, so probably it will not make it into the next version.

We can agree on “before 2017”!

Yes, 0.8 is the one you want to use for vorpX 0.9.1.

BTW: A vorpX version for the SDK 1.3 will be released as soon as possible.

    Hello Steve,
Your key has been sent several times already. If you can’t find the registration mails in your inbox or spam folder, please contact support |at| vorpx com with an alternative e-mail address. Apparently there is an issue with receiving mails from us in that case.

There is nothing that has to be done. These hints are added routinely when you activate very often or quite often in a short amount of time.

If you need another download link, please send an e-mail to support |at| vorpx com, like outlined in the FAQ on top of this sub forum.

Assuming you mean a licensing hint that you may have received in an activation mail: these hints are added routinely when you activate very often or quite often in a short amount of time.

Good news: while doing something entirely different incidentally this could finally be replicated. Fix is working here, hopefully it will also work for you guys. Will be in the next update.
