Don’t forget to press [ALT][SPACE] to center/activate the pos tracking like mentioned in the message below the unlock option.

Head tracking sensitivity can be adjusted (and has to be once per game) in the vorpX ingame menu like mentioned above and in the Essential Game Hints.

You have to check the “Enable expert settings” checkbox in the vorpX config app for the above mentioned unlock option to become available in the ingame menu. Forgot to mention that, sorry. Don’t forget to press [ALT][SPACE] to center/activate the pos tracking like mentioned in the message below the unlock option.

Regarding head tracking sensitivity please check the Essential Game Hints in the vorpX help. You have to adjust it once per game.

vorpX has positional tracking for all Geometry 3D games. The three games you mention are Geometry 3D games and have positional tracking.

If pos tracking is unlocked per default, a message is displayed on game start. In other cases you can unlock it yourself on the head tracking page of the vorpX ingame menu.

The value in the Metro ini is the vertical FOV. For simplicity the Game Optimizer shows the horizontal FOV (recommended 120) in all cases and converts it if required. It’s working exactly like it should.

    This is a false positive.

    1. Make sure to get the latest virus definition file for your scanner.

    2. If that does not help, disable your scanner or exclude the vorpX program folder AND your temp folder from scanning. Also please report the issue as a false positive to your av vendor, so they can fix the issue.

Please make sure to copy and paste both the data for the name field and the key field EXACTLY as shown in the key e-mail. There is an example image attached to the mail that shows how it should look.

Just in case: make sure to NOT run vorpX as administrator.

    Apart from that:

Please send a mail to support |at| vorpx com and include the following things. Without further details it’s impossible to give individual advice.

    1. System specs (CPU/RAM/OS/graphics card).
    2. A list of running processes (screenshot of your task managers process tab).
    3. A dxdiag.txt (run dxdiag to create it).

No promises, but we’ll look at the things you send, and with a bit of luck can spot something you overlooked.

Then select the desired platform (“PC”) and the version (0.5.0.1) in the according listboxes.

I’m not 100% sure currently, but I think you can do this automatically for Metro 2033 with the Game Optimizer in the vorpX config app.

The most likely cause of something like this is a conflict with your virus scanner. Please try to disable it and see whether that helps.

Also make sure to use the Oculus runtime 0.5.1 for the current vorpX version 0.81, other runtime versions, especially older ones, also can lead to crashes.

I think the game uses the Ogre engine, so probably no .exe renaming trick will work. Can’t promise anything for official support since point and click adventures aren’t exactly VR friendly.

Extended mode is required by vorpX, it does not work in direct mode. If you have the 0.6.0 Oculus runtime installed, please roll back to 0.5.1.

You have two options to use vorpX:

    A. The convenient one (works with most games)

    1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
    2. Use the Rift DK2 as SECONDARY monitor in Windows
    3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
    4. Set vorpX to “Show on DK2″ display wise in the vorpX config app.

    B. The compatible one

    1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
    2. Use the Rift DK2 as PRIMARY monitor in Windows
    3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
    4. Set vorpX to “Use system settings” display wise in the vorpX config app.

It is important to choose the right setting in the vorpX config app according to your display settings in Windows. It is important to choose the right setting in the vorpX config app according to your display settings in Windows.

For a more detailed guide including screenshots please check the DK2 setup guide that comes with vorpX.
