RalfKeymasterThis is a false positive. vorpX hooks into other programs, which some av-programs unfortunately seem to classify as malicious behaviour per se without being sure about it. In layman’s terms: They are guessing, and their guess is wrong. Happens from time to time after the release of a new version.
Please add an exception to your av-program. You may also report this as a false positive to your av-vendor, which would be a great help. They will then check the file and whitelist it.
Sorry for the inconvenience. This is as annoying for us as it is for you.
RalfKeymasterGlitches like this one usually require game specific fixes, so nothing can be done on your end without a profile for the game.
Things like this will happen in quite a few games when you use the basic UDK profile for other games. It’s always worth a try for unsupported games, but there are no guarantees that it will work correctly.
RalfKeymasterIt might be possible to do this with a software solution. I’m not 100% sure, but IIRC someone mentioned that he used Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) for mirroring the DK2 to another monitor. I may be mistaken though.
RalfKeymasterSwitching raw mouse input on/off may be worth a try if that is possible in BF4. IIRC this can be done in the game options.
RalfKeymasterClone mode is not possible with the Oculus Rift DK2, hence the option is not available anymore when using a DK2.
You can still try to force it through the OS (set the displays to clone mode in the Windows monitor config and choose “Use system settings” in vorpX, but this also will not work with the DK2. Nothing vorpX can do about this, this is a limitaion of the DK2.
RalfKeymasterYes, please contact the e-mail from the license dialog and this will be taken care of.
RalfKeymasterI’ll see whether I can buy a copy. As always, no promises though.
RalfKeymasterHas never been tested so far. If it’s possible to start the program without the launcher, renaming the main .exe to UDK.exe may be worth a try. This would activate the UDK profile and *may* give you Geometry 3D. Just without any game specific fixes, so there may be serious graphical glitches.
RalfKeymasterThis was reported earlier for Far Cry 3. I’ll take a look at it. Either a new bug, or maybe a FC3 patch that broke something.
RalfKeymasterVery odd. Works just fine here. Be aware that this may not work if a game controls the gamepad! vorpX has to have control of the gamepad.
You cannot use a game’s internal gamepad handling and the vorpX gamepad emulation at the same time. In such a case you have to disable the gamepad in the game for vorpX to take over first.
When the vorpX gamepad emulation is active, all you have to do is clicking the according button on the gamepad page of the ingame menu (which then displays “…”) and afterwards push the according button on the gamepad.
RalfKeymasterWoW is not the best match for VR in general because it’s a third person game. It’s fun to walk a round and enjoy some vistas, but seriously playing it for hours is probably not the best experience indeed.
RalfKeymasterIn some cases the start/back and thumbstick buttons may be swapped in the joystick mapper, so you might have to select LSTICK or RSTICK to map the start button and vice versa. It’s unclear was causes this, probably depends on different X-box controller drivers.
A bit confusing, but apart from this glitch it should work normally. Will be looked into soon.
RalfKeymasterDo you by chance have the latest nVidia drivers installed?
If so, please roll back to the last version. The latest nVidia drivers enforce a refresh that for the DK2 that makes it display two images. This has nothing to do with vorpX.

RalfKeymaster@ InfiniteHydro : Did you check the Essential Game Hints in the vorpX help? One of two things that you need to do once per game is dealing with FOV (field of view). For Far Cry 4 this is pretty easy, as you can do the necessary adjustment with a single click using the Game Settings Optimizer in the vorpX config app. Doing this also modifies the HUD in this game.
Just in case: Be aware that this may not work with “unofficial” Far Cry 4 versions as Ubisoft apparently removed the FOV option for non-paying users as a little reminder.
For looking at HUD elements in corners vorpX has the EdgePeek function (middle mouse button). I would highly recommend to take a look at the Quick Reference. This and other useful functions are explained there in greater detail.
