Good to hear. I guess my issue with the game pass version was related to having the Steam version installed at the same time then.
I get the same jitter with Reach here also with the Steam version. The official profile will work with Reach, but only ‘officially’ support the original campaign. That has all DirectVR bells and whistles vorpX can provide though, so it’s working really well.
BTW: From the looks of it unfortunately every campaign (i.e. game) will need a individual set of profile settings, so don’t expect things to work automatically when MS releases more campaigns in the future. The MCC .exe is just a container that loads each game separetely as DLL, so in the end there almost certainly will have to be seven sets of profile settings to cover all seven original games.
Not that i know of, Ralf and i use the application regularly. their anti cheat garbage is too extreme, i got nothing running and cant even get gears 5 to launch because their anti cheat system is so overzealous, i have no clue what it thinks its finding but ive tried disabling everything and it wont even launch a game WITHOUT Vorpx being involved.
I have had Gamepass games work perfectly with Vorpx that were single player – like Darksiders 3 worked 100% fine. Outer Worlds worked fine but there was another user who had controller issues with the GamePass version as well, I think the profile just wasnt able to get into the ini files or whatever it is you usually tweak to get the mk/controller functionality to work at same time.
So, sorry, thats not exactly an answer to your question, but my experience with this program, even on its own, has been sketch. Vorpx has worked for single player games, but Outer Worlds did have a control problem I think another user replicated, neither of us could figure it out.
So – long story short – you work hard for us and i appreciate you coming out and just asking bluntly to help make the program more functional for us – but i think youre fighting an impossible battle with the current iteration of Xbox Game Pass games. Its going to work sometimes but I wouldnt stress it, as a consumer, I appreciate you trying to get it to work – but dont beat yourself up over this one at all; its very much so still an application with many of its own issues that are totally out of your control.

I understand ralf but old type of forum is really really clunky when it comes to community organization and support. For one in forum you can’t really talk with anyone you can only make statements and hope someone will answer them in next few hours. Especially in smaller forums like this.
There is plenty of people who absolutely hate old style forum use and will never use it. Moreover due to how Discord works joining forum is just one click a way while joining forum like this requires you setting up account, waiting for email etc.
You are effectively losing customers by using old forum model. Moreover it is community that drives most of your sales because they are the ones that promote it and talk about it.
The biggest factor is that you need to go to this site to use forum while people have discord on all the time and even when they are bored or something they are just one click away from place to talk about or get news about VorpX or some new profile or community news. Instead of going to old clunky forum.
What if i want to make strawpoll to show what community would want for you to focus on next ? It is almost impossible to run it on this forum format without waiting weeks.
I do understand that you don’t have much time for community support but no one requires you to follow everything. Most of help i have ever received for VorpX was not from you but some random strangers on various discords and forums. Not here.
So think about it.
My plan was to use recent news about support for Sims4 to bash it on r/Games and few other places that for sure it would bring a lot of people around to form discord community. 99% of those people would never ever make new account on this site especially when 40$ will hit them on their eyes when they open site. they would first talk about it on discord with community, ask around if it works and then they would ask themselves if price is right and get it or not.
In addition, you actually had to reverse engineer the *games* to get them working with a previous HMD I had. That’s where that knowledge even came from.
Sober me knows better than to do that to Ralf’s masterpiece. Drunk me didn’t.

every games are different and it not humanly possible to have all games working with vorpx, not even talking about G3D mode which is another huge work per game.

In Fallout 76 most of the time only half of the inventory is viewable but sometimes it is scaled correctly and you can see it all. Is there a setting to get it resized or something so it can all be seen?
Also, when accessing a workbench it shifts to third person and the character falls through the floor. Anyone have an idea how to prevent that?

You can invert the direction in the vorpX menu, but that would make things even more odd. Changing the actual behavior of a third person camera is something only the game devs can do usually.
Still fun to try third person FullVR though. Personally I would prefer immersive screen mode for third person games, which feels more like one would expect a third person game to work in VR camera wise, but there is no harm in trying FullVR mode if you keep the slightly odd camera behavior in mind. One certainly can get accustomed to it.
unfortunately that Doesnt work in Mudrunner, its verry scetchy. Works 1 out of 11 times at most. Then stops working if changing to “Immersive mode” for example, then weh changing back to Full VR View again, it dosnt work. And is not even possible to get working in Invert again… Even tho that setting is still there for Invert…

I’ve had this issue for quite a while, at least an update or 2 ago. When Vorpx is running, my gamepad switches to keyboard or is recognized as a keyboard in the game, making it unusable. I know in earlier versions, I used to just turn the controller over ride setting to off and it worked fine, now it doesn’t.
I have both an Xbox One and Steam Controller, same issue with each. I tried messing with the gamepad override settings but doesn’t work. I can’t figure out how to get the game or Vorpx (whichever the case) to recognize my controller as a gamepad.
I do not have a Touch Controller. Games this effects seems to be all of them, GTA 5, AC: Origins, etc. Gamepad over ride is set to off but I have tried partial and full without success….how do I prevent vorpx from messing with my gamepad?
I have a profile I can upload to cloud which is Geometry 3D cinema mode.

Hey everyone,
Just had a Q if this is a bug or something i need to fix. So, with any game i plan on playing on vorpx i always turn off Vsync on initial boot before even launching into vorpx, back out when i think settings are good then launch with Vorpx.
I recently got an AMD RX5600XT card – i have always had nvidia before and Nvidia you could easily access the control panel – go to program settings – and select Vsync to “off”; never got this message by following that protocol
Now every game i start is telling me to disable Vsync on my new card – but as far as i can tell, the only open in AMD to disable Vysc is in Alt+R – go to Gaming tab and turn off “wait for vertical refresh”… i dont see anything else mentioning Vsync and I have it set to “always off”.
Am i just getting a bug or is this common for amd users?

I even downloaded the recommended profile ( Local Profiles .. Half Life 2 / Portal ) and imported the settings .. still didn’t work .. I only get other modes like Cinema mode ..etc. but Full VR Mode never worked .. also tried to change resolution and changed the device selection to SteamVR (it was on Oculus Rift, Rift S, Quest before ) but still same result .. NO FULL VR MODE.
When I try Alt + L .. it says (field of view: FAILED) if this is related??

If the profile was flickering or rendering in one eye I wouldn’t never uploaded to the cloud but there might be another setting your have to change in the re3_config file. The profile is prefect on all the third headsets I tested and looks as good RE2

Hey everyone,
So i am frustrated because ive been trying to decide on a game to play and of course – it doesnt work. not blaming vorpx, it works 99.9% of the time but im just at a loss here and frustrated.
i am running in dx11 mode, not dx12; i have tried the official vorpx profile and dellrifters profile, both same thing – get to a ‘immersive screen mode’ screen… and nothing happens.
i have all my malware and antivirus stuff disabled, im on a 4930k processor, 16 gigs ram and an AMD 5600XT.
The game launches 100% fine without vorpx, but wont launch with it and actually even get to the logos (just attaches and goes to black screen)
Any help would be appreciated, just spent like over an hour trying to get this to work and too frustrated to continue.
