    I understand this exists, it’s this function that instituted what I’d like added. I’m wanting an actual keyboard graphic overlay that we can pin to our physical keyboard (like a couple of productivity apps do). For most games, having the hornets is enough. But occasionally, especially for rarely used keys in key heavy games (especially ones that might ask you to type something). You simply just want to know where the keyboard is exactly. You can learn where keys are from a touch for starting position, but you then need to relearn it from wasd position, or others.
    A quick glance of the physical keyboard solves this easily.

    @ dborosev Thanks for your suggestions.

    Considering other programs that might hook into the game, only ds4win came to mind. I gave a try disabling it, but it did not help. Game still crashes after a few minutes.

    I also read through the troubleshooting help, but I do not have any of the suggested programs running. My virus scanner is the windows default (i.e., Windows Defender as suggested). Steam is of course running (as I am using the steam version), but I do not have any kind of overlays activated.

    Considering that the game will also crash on lowest settings, it does not seem likely to me that it is to high a load on my graphics card. I tried monitoring my GPU but nothing really stood out: On lowest settings, its usage varies between 30-80%, with around 5G of 8G VRAM usage. Temperatures well in range. Until at some point: crash. Also, I don’t experience any stability problems in general. Without vorpx no crashes on ultra settings, also other games like, e.g., Half-Life:Alyx run just fine.

    Finally, I also tried reinstalling vorpx (I left the registry keys in place, though). Did not help.

    Hello,

    I noticed that i couldn’t get any in game movement with my left trackpad.
    I tried to change the keys, moving with keyboard works, but the buttons on the left trackpad aren’t responding, only the trigger button does the function in game for that button but the rest not. changing azerty to qwerty also didn’t did the trick.
    Changing the aim by using the right trackpad works.
    I’m used an original vive.
    Anybody else having this issue?

    I’m not sure if there’s a dedicate suggestions Forum/Post? I can’t seem to see it so I’ll put it here and hope it’s not too ‘in the way’.

    Now obviously many games can be played with touch controllers (or equivalent) or a gamepad and you just can intuit these very quickly. However, for slightly more complicated games (and ones where you’re used to using mouse+keyboard like FPS) it can be a bit of a pain remembering exactly where certain keys are if you don’t touch-type (and even if you do since you do not play an FPS with indexes on f and j!).

    I was wondering what the interest/possibility would be in in some sort of keyboard overlay you can pin in view?

    I don’t know exactly how the tracking works (if it uses 6df or just 3 if not in full VR mode) but having a simple graphical overlay you could manually map to the location of your keyboard (since most have a set layout) would be a godsend early on in a new game. Not necessarily visible all the time, but a similar combination to show it translucent like the hotkeys.

    Apologies if this sounds too niche (or a little insane), but the idea came to me and I’d rather share it and be laughed at than not said anything at all :)

    Vorpx is in antivirus exclusions and windows should allow them to do whatever, but if it works on your end I will see what can be preventing it from access to that folder.

    P.S.: while Im at it using desktop viewer vorpx has and opening settings (del key) at least by default doest stop windows executing delete command, had few files trashed while going through settings and didnt even notice at first, plus while using keys to navigate vorpx menu it passes keypresses too.

    I feel like every time I change computers it is such a pain to find this license dialog to get the new key. Where do I find this ‘license dialog’? I pressed “start vorpX” and nothing at that screen shows anything related to license keys

    Hi, I can’t change the keyboard keys with the joystick (directional button) it doesn’t matter. In desktop mode, for the controller I have the “up arrow up” indicated, and for the keyboard it is “Z” so I should be able to move forward. Using the mouse and keyboard I can play but it is not possible for me with the headset so yesterday I played on the controller but without the virtual vorpx headset. I must have a bug with me because no one seems to have had this problem. Thank you very much for trying to help me. I have used lots of other “resident evil 7” profiles and still have this problem.

    In the game bring up the vorpx menu (DEL on your keyboard or Left Stick Click on your controller), then hit the right bumper (r1) a few times to get to the input settings. On this tab, you can override the x-box controller fully or partially, or not at all. On this tab you can also change the keys the controller is mapped to by clicking “change gamepad settings”. These keys are only used if the controller has been overridden.

    Setting the keys is kind of a pain in the butt because you have to take your headset on and off, but that can be avoided by running the game in generic desktop mode and setting the keys there, before going back to the headset. Make sure you click on “okay and save” after you’ve remapped the keys.

    I’d think that the mapping was wasd for movement by default, but I haven’t played the game in awhile, and oftentimes I just run a game in cinema mode with the xbox override turned off because I don’t like the keyboard prompts that display.

    Maybe we can’t play with a controller but only with the keys? because there I can not lower myself either … I put re7 in factory profile and it is always the same.

    A tool to make it outside would be nice or a virtual keyboard inside so you can easily map the keys. Removing the headseten to see what key you are pressing on a keyboard is tedious.

    I think you misunderstood me, I can use kb/mouse emulation that is fine. I guess haptic feedback isn’t enabled then but I can live without that to start with.

    To change the keybindings in VR menu I need a physical keyboard? As in the picture I posted I want to remap all the keys then set them in the game.

    I would like to have tool to change input settings and the Hand Controller Settings outside the VR. Like plan ahead before you star the game and in VR you fine tune the grafik other settings like that.

    I like to move the edgepeek to pressing the stick for an example. I don’t want middle of a fight change anything or get any in game settings menu popup.

    Its not about gamepad/mouse or whatever, its mostly about headtracking helping to be more immersed during some moments in game, while being in the way during other moments. Thats it. Switching it on/off is just a bit of a choir having to hold arrow keys for a bit.

    if you’re looking to play this game with vorpx here’s some infos to get it working.

    for g3D use conarium profile copy and attach to swd7-win64-shipping.exe located at Xuan Yuan Sword VII\SWD7\Binaries\Win64.

    for z3D use halo : the master chief collection profile copy and attach exe the same way.

    you can event tweaks the engine.ini file if you wish and modify fov with unreal engine unlocker.

    great graphics with mod cinema; very fluid with my 1070 (on reverb: I put 3456 2180 as a resolution: very small hud but not serious):; on the other hand if it lags (problems related to keyboards or mice): you will have to add a dll (see steam); moreover if you change keyboard keys: at home the alt ctrl shift keys: don’t work, so avoid;
