    It is not possible.
It’s a strange problem and I am not able to understand how it is possible that a similary problem is “untouchable”
    I payed for this.
I must receive a response by ralf that 6 minutes ago posted in another topic.
    I payed for this.
I must receive support until version 1.9, is it in the contract .
    ..
Next time don’t let users pay for a beta version.

For Metro you shouldn’t even need to touch the image zoom.

Normally it should be possible to use the vorpX Game Optimizer (maybe plus image zoom for minor adjustment). If that fails, you can however set it in an ini file.

    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?l=german&id=171711333

You will have to experiment with the actual value. It may also be different for the Redux version of the game. Use Google in this case (Metro Redux FOV).

If setting the value via the correct ini fails, something is severely wrong on your setup.

Don’t let’s drag this on forever. Of course everyone has a higher FOV than the Rift, BUT the screen corners are usually occluded by the lens edges, maybe unless your eye balls are practically touching the lenses. This has nothing to do with one having a higher FOV than the Rift or not.

As said above, I’ll see what’s possible.

Ralf i got the same issue last night as well , i didnt usually run admin rights either but thats what worked for me as i had twin screens also , read on the oculus forum about the admin thing, worked for me and still does ,i know about the admin in vorpx but i havent touched it ever. It runs brilliant aside the mini map which i cant seem to get on screen.

Great job btw Ralf , completley changes the game for me .

Unfortunately necessary rumor control. You can complain about vorpX, but stick to the facts. Not much of your post is true.

You also received answers to your prior four posts here on the forum, so I’m not sure what that part is about. Consider this a troll warning.

    – No driver decouples head tracking from movement
    – vorpX can scale the HUD in MANY, if not most Geometry 3D games.
    – Head tracking sensitivity can be tuned in the vorpX ingame menu (explained in two basic guides)
    – Default values are dialed in for most games in a quite natural way. Certainly not worse than this is done elsewhere.
    – FOV correction is available for a lot of games as a perfect one click solution in the Game Optimizer, for other games there are other options (explained in a guide).
    – If you have distortion issues with later vorpX versions, it might be the case that you changed settings that should be better left untouched (for example the vignette scale)
    – Profiles probably take more time in vorpX, as usually profiles have to be created for Geometry 3D + Z-Buffer 3D, and as you correctly mentioned often more than one API.
    – …

    Check this out:

Change this setting around from portrait to landscape or vice versa on the Rift display and try again.

I found a post, roughly a year old, stating that it would be in one of the next updates.

Well, Updates on this thing are painfully slow and with little documentation; so it might be that it IS being added in “one of the next updates”.

Unfortunately I don’t have proper advice for you on how to rebind it within VorpX, although there ARE rebinding options when you press DEL and go to the section with the Hotkeys.

I haven’t touched VorpX since I’m waiting for an update (atm this thing doesn’t work for the stuff I really wanted to use it for (arma 3)), but I believe there was an option to rebind certain keys internally.

Be careful though (and experiment after applying settings), as the bindings, as many other things, are bugged. In this particular case, certain Keys in the binding are SWAPPED, so you’re in for a surprise :p

    Hi,

fortunately it’s possible to use gamepad and mouse simultaneously in the Crysis-series.

The only problem: it’s a bit confusing, that everytime when you move your head the ingame menue jumps from xbox-gamepad-mapping to keyboard-mapping. When you touch a gamepad button it jumps back to gamepad-mapping. The result is a flickering menue. So it would be much more comfortable, when the games only show gamepad-mapping, even when the mouse is triggered because of head-movement.

My question: is it possible to disable the keyboard-menue to force the game to show only gamepad-mapping to stop this flickering?

Does anyone know a workaround, ini-tweak, a mod or something to do this?

But Vincent, you already finished your Internship – and didn’t even touch the Arma2 I gifted you on steam ages ago! (JK, just to entertain myself as my buddy’s name’s Vincent)

Why do you need stereoscopic Arma3 for an internship…?
Also – the 3D will work as soon as “that bug” Ralf mentioned is fixed. VorpX doesn’t hook properly into Arma3, so all the fancy shader stuff isn’t working.
Once it hooks the right parts of the game again everything should work smooth(er).

I’m using the Wireless version, what could also be, is that it’s “Original MS Drivers” vs “Custom Drivers” for the controller.

In the past I used a custom driver as this allowed me to map the triggers as either buttons or axises (which isn’t possible with MS drivers), but I’m now using the original drivers again. From that switch I can tell that simple things can indeed lead some button orders to shift or swap.

As for the Start/Select + Thumbstick buttons being swapped — indeed, this appears to be the accurate behaviour, I didn’t notice in my short test.

What about the “Control Smearing” / Echo though, do you have that on your end?
(When I touch the stick for a second to move and then release it, it keeps walking for a while before stopping instead of stopping directly.)

    Hey Folks, Ralf especially,

I just wanted to know how that controller emulation works for you people.
I’m still fiddling around, trying to get Skyrim to work with Vorpx – I’d like to play with controller since at times its hard to find the right keys on keyboard.

    What I noticed is:
    – (game issue) Native Xbox360 support in skyrim ON — No headtracking (VorpX emulates mouse movement via headtracking and enabling 360 seems to disable the mouse)

    – (VorpX issue) the movement controls are horrid with the “internal controller handling”. Touching the left stick ever so gently makes you run half a mile into that direction at a fixed speed.

    – (VorpX issue) the standard binds for Xbox360 controller inside VorpX are, well, wrong.
Example: it says (“Left Stick” = S|MouseM) , but hitting it actually hits ESC and brings up the main menu.
I tried rebinding the “Left Stick” to “LCTRL” (for sneaking) – hit Save & Close, but still it seems to emulate pressing ESC

What’s your experience with the emulated gamepad stuff?
Is it just mine that’s crapping out, or is it something that someone should look into in future VorpX updates?
