moadepthParticipantDec 4, 2021 at 10:49pm in reply to: R.o.t. Tomb Raider:s last patch broke its native 3D support, and so also Vorpx:s #207680moadepthParticipantmaybe becoz Dlss was introduced with the last patches …
Aug 17, 2021 at 7:17pm in reply to: SBS game mirror, for recording 3D gameplay (->generic 3D disp.) #205735moadepthParticipantHi, would be the holy grail if it could be done easily , think off all the youtubers who could serve content for VR viewers its a million dollar market ;))
moadepthParticipantNice, tested some games with OpenXR felt smoother somehow , and bye bye steam client will not miss you :) Thanks Ralf. Big Up !
moadepthParticipantThere were discussions before here about this, if you push the depth(or others) too high the possibility for glitches will rise and at the end destroy Vorpxs reputation ;)
Ralf says it makes no sense then it makes no sense hes the guru.moadepthParticipant@laser yeah looks nice imo better than 3d cinema or tv. I have also a g2 HMD and I also have a 4k monitor but I dont have those problems (reschange, juddery ect.)
Last year i had a 1080gtx+lenovo explorer and had also to struggle in fast cam heli shots also its usefull to store your mkvs on ssd>hdd it will help alot.
BTW. VLC will also give you sbs but only on monitor but with Vorpx will not work total mess.
@Ralf if I start your recommended way -start VorpX – start mpc – start video
its ok but as soon as I want enter Vorpxmenu via DEL key it prompts mpc to stop and asks to delete the file (Nooo) the Vorpx menu freakin flickers and there is no other way out to quit all and not start this way again…moadepthParticipantHi, seems to depend on the game , maybe due to their render engine they restrict it ingame who knows ? whats about far cry 4 does it work there ?
Apr 8, 2021 at 9:19am in reply to: Is it possible to unlink a process from official profile? #201729moadepthParticipantHi, dunno if I get this right,
in VorpX it actually works the other way around, you can create a new profile from a official one . This new profile is free of every exe or process link. If you wanna use a exe or process name which is already in use by a official profile you have to rename the exe/process.moadepthParticipantHi Ralf thanks for the work,
here is a new feature idea you may interested in coz it could attract a lot of crowd and silence the criticts ;) OK everybody knows the youtubers playing games with Vorpx but in a 2d view and could not really transfer the feeling of being vorped.
I know vorpx can put out SBS in generic mode but thats not practicable for playing on HMD. Maybe you could open doors into this way …. just an idea dont feel stressed.moadepthParticipantWelcome to the Fam,
personally I hate it if Vorpx tries to do that, you can turn it off and Im not sure sometimes it asks ? :)
I have a powerfull pc but Ralf wants to make sure it also runs on the low end and -other hardware, makes totally sense.
You can turn it off on the general settings page.
Ingame wise I would say the higher the resolution the better. There is only one rule, if u can play the game with constantly over 90fps(better over 100) in 2d it should be smooth in G3D . If you are a lucky owner of a Nvidia GPU you can set custom resolutions, even you only have a 1080p device u can use downsampling. 1080p in your HMD will look crap lots of jaggies, 1440p hmm yes my old WMR headset has this as nativ resolution performance goes down, 2160p looks beautiful in older or not so demanding games . You can also use own ratios like 4:3 so on.. to save rendertime. If you hooked into some game dont forget to press Del key and surf the Vorpx menu for Image settings , play around with the sliders to get the max out of it.moadepthParticipantDid a little google search and found out its unreal4 based. TCL studios just switched their 3d engine last year to unreal4 , so no wonder it wont work with its predecessors profiles.
moadepthParticipantHi, really new game , you could be the first to create one profile. First find out wether the game is running in dx 11 or 12 and try to find the engine name via google.
If the developer uses some mainstream 3dengine (unreal, unity ect.) you can try to create a profile from a game using the same engine. If you are not able to find some info you ca still try some wild shots with other game profiles. If you got it running 3d but you have some glitches then you have to search for the shadertool here in the forum. good luck !moadepthParticipantnew try
2. Download the MPC HC video player https://mpc-hc.org/downloads/
Download MadVr http://madvr.com
install
Download K lite standart codec pack https://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
Download LAV-Filters https://www.videohelp.com/software/LAV-Filters
install
3. Go into the options/settings of MPC HC video player and select the output
settings and change the video renderer into madVR
go to the external filter settings and add madVR and the 4 Lav filters to it
4. Now everything is ready to start
start the Vorpx desktop viewer
right click on your previously made video file and open it with the MPC HC
player (steamVr and other Vr clients should start immediately)
press the del key for the VorpX menu, go to image settings and select side by
side output then go to display settings and turn Direct Mode Async Render off
(makes the the video replay much smoother) save your settings !
sidenote : sometimes MPC HC resets the video output back to the standart
renderer make sure madVr is always in charge.Hope it works for you enjoy !
Btw this methode maybe outdated and there a now perhaps some easier ways ?, its still working here but I have only 4 3d Bluerays :(
