Glad to see a fix for huge guns. The gun disappearing out of sight when not shooting is something I didn’t know I needed. Cool feature.

The game came out originally on PS2 and Gamecube. If you can get it running on either the Dolphin or PCSX2 Emulator, you can use G3D in VorpX. You may even be able to play it with DolpinVR (not likely). I also see that it’s available on Steam. Since the game was originally made with RenderWare on PS2, maybe you can use the GTA San Andreas profile or another profile with the Steam version.

To play with the Quest2, you need a Link cable (any USB C) and Oculus Home software, and/or SteamVR (compatible with Virtual Desktop for streaming).

Hi! Thank you for your post. I’m using Oculus Quest 2 with Link Cable and Steam VR, but there is no VR for killer7.

So, yeah, i need to use VorpX. Do you think that if i’ll buy this software everything will works in the right way? What about the controls? I tried to change it but it looks impossible to play Quest 2 with killer7. Is that my fault?

If it’s not hooking via Steam, then you can try the Dolphin emulator, but you have to import the Dolphin Emulator Profile from the cloud if it’s not local now. It’s G3D on Cinema Mode though (Didn’t try Immersive). Dolphin has to be set to SBS in the graphics setting. I used the XBOne controller, but you can use the Quest controllers as a standard controller.

No software purchase necessary other than VorpX.

He said he’s using it for the Ambient background. Honestly, IDK any other desktop app that has the Ambient Background feature which is a pretty cool overlooked feature. I spent $100 on Cyborg gaming lights (barely use them now cuz their trash, lol). People have LED strip setups on their TVs. Phillips HUE lights are all the rage. It’s a thing.

    @Ogrescar

Calm down. I did misread your comment and was deleting what I wrote before you responded. I didn’t realize that’s how he was playing. I can see him wanting to use it for the abient background though. Kind of expensive to use it that way, but look how much gaming lights cost.

Personally, I’m not a purist. I enjoy games in any sort of manner, Native VR, VorpX in VR or via Immersive with G3D or Z3D, on my TV, or on my projector, with all sorts of peripherals.

System Shock 2 is getting native VR. Maybe System Shock Remake will get it too.

I had NALO for a while, but today I finally decided to give it a try and loaded SkyrimVR via Virtual Desktop. NALO works really well so far. I was wondering if the software worked with VorpX. I’m going to experiment with Joycons next.

I have a great time using Wifi with the Q1. I use it with a dedicated Router. Target has some insane deals so I got the Q2 and standard Elite Strap on preorder for < $300 after tax.

I’ve used VorpX with the Quest via Virtual Desktop (ALVR may work too). Many have the same setup but include Shadow and it seems to work for them. I think it depends heavily on your location vs Server location. There’s a Virtual Desktop Discord with a section for Shadow Gaming.

Edit, also shadow is working on a VR streaming component.

One of my goto games is the original Crysis. 2 and 3 work well also, but I love traversing the jungle in the original and the vehicles work great too. Dead Island played good too. Right now I’m experimenting with Dying Light. Too bad nobody created an Alien Isolation type VR mod to enhance the experimental VR that’s already in the game.

ALVR has two branches. The original branch by polygraphene supported Go but hasn’t been updated in June 2019. The second branch by JackD only works with Quest similar to Virtual Desktop. VorpX works with both apps for the Quest when using SteamVR mode.

There is a guide to inject 3D. Wish I could get Cemu to hook for full VR

The VorpX window is not showing after the latest update to 19.3.1.2.

Edit: Seems to be working now.

@ippsley I did not delve into the controllers much since the new implementation (I plan to see how much customization i can do with third party program.

You can try using, Open VR Input emulator. I’m not sure if that can adjust the button sensitivity.

Also, take a look at the latest release of ALVR. Maybe the controllers work better with that application. ALVR was branched by a different dev, and it has interesting new features such as Fixed Foveated Rendering, and now accurate controller angles.
