    Thank you for the update Ralf.

    i have a question, can we edit/reset shaders you edited on official profile, or can we only tweaks shaders you didnt touch with the official profiles .
    i’m asking this, because for example in Elex, the shaders you touched are greyed out and i cant mess with them.

    valve index here.
    i tried the game 2 days ago, worked just fine with vorpx running as administrator, launching in G3D.
    i did nothing special except checking “run vorpx as administrator”.
    avast for antivirus.
    w10.

    g3D for rdr 2 game a DX12/vulkan game ? really ? even tho it’s not traditional G3D as we know it, it seems amazing :D cannot wait to try it out !

    decoupled movement nice !!!!

    and i started messing with shader authoring tool and while i’m still total noob, i was able to fix some issues with the game i tried (mainly offending decals on the grounds/walls, shadows) i’m glad we’ll soon be able to do it for official profiles, but those dont really need this most of the time cause they work just fine out of the box ;) but still it’s welcome ! you cant fix everything on your own specially in these days when games are regurarly updated and sometimes breaking profiles or adding visual glitches. (restoring profile to default within game is a win)

    fixing directVR memory scanner is also most welcome !

    this update is really nice ! Many thanks Ralf :)

    yes, me too with the same exact profile aha, thanks for sharing tho !

    i have even added this to the engine.ini file

    [SystemSettings]
    r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=2
    r.ScreenPercentage=120
    r.PostProcessAAQuality=6
    r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.2
    r.TemporalAASamples=2
    r.BlurGBuffer=-1
    r.AmbientOcclusionLevels=3
    r.AmbientOcclusionRadiusScale=1
    r.RenderTargetPoolMin=400
    r.LensFlareQuality=2
    r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
    r.EyeAdaptationQuality=2
    r.BloomQuality=5
    r.FastBlurThreshold=7
    r.Upscale.Quality=3
    r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=1
    r.Streaming.PoolSize=4096
    r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.25
    r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-2
    r.RefractionQuality=2
    r.SSR.Quality=4
    r.SceneColorFormat=4
    r.DetailMode=2
    r.TranslucencyVolumeBlur=1
    r.MaterialQualityLevel=1
    r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0
    r.ShadowQuality=5
    r.Shadow.CSM.MaxCascades=16
    r.Shadow.MaxResolution=4096
    r.ViewDistanceScale=10
    foliage.DensityScale=10
    grass.DensityScale=10
    foliage.LODDistanceScale=20
    r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0

    but it’s very taxing, it’s not smooth on my rtx 3090.
    you can tweak those settings to get better fps and if you dont want dynamic shadows just set r.shadowquality to 0 you will still have static shadows and better fps with no glitch.

    i had to tweak the profile btw to get rid of some decal glitch, did you do that as well ?

    first, you need to know what engine the game uses.
    second, you need to find a game in the profile list (or sometimes cloud profile list) which uses the same profile, for example unreal engine 4.
    third, you need to make a copy of that profile and then attach the exe of your game to that profile.

    next, try to start the game, maybe it will hook and maybe 3D will work (Z3D or/and g3D), but maybe it wont, if that’s the case, you can try another game profile using the same engine.

    sometimes for 3D to work, you need to launch the game in windowed mode or fullscreen mode, and sometimes you even have to turn off antialiasing or other things like dlss or other stuff.

    sometimes it just wont work and you’ll have to ask for a profile in the game wish list thread, sometimes it will, you wont know if you dont try.

    fun fact, i remember before shadow of the tomb raider got an official profile, i had it running in Z3D using conan exile profile which runs on a total different game engine, that’s the magic of vorpx for you, but most of the time games with different engines wont hook if you try, ie creating a profile using a unity engine game for a game running on an unreal engine 4 engine will probably not hook.

    also dont forget vorpx right now doesnt support vulkan, and dx12 is Z3D only atm.

    you should play bioshock 2 original, not the remastered, original works much better in g3D with vorpx.
    and yes, overhead is above 2X i believe but Ralf knows better.
