steph12Participantwow before bfa patch had 2 cursor settings, software (the hand one) and hardware (the one you are getting now). blizzard took the “brillant” idea to remove the software cursor, now we have no choice but to use the one you see. sorry.
steph12Participanti only tried the first one, just because i already played the three mass effects years ago and i dont have time to redo the same games even in VR, too many new games to play :D
the first mass effect has buggy sky in G3D (lots of flickering) other that this distracting issue, it runs fine.
to change fov there is a guide

note that for cutscene you better switch to edgepeek mode or else your eyes will be hurt bad because of those “cinematic” camera angles.
and it’s better to play this game in immersive screen mode or even cinematic mod, that way you can see HUD when you need.
controller mod ? never heard of that, gamepad works fine, as does the combo keyboard + mouse.
steph12Participantthanks for the explanation and for the info about the profiles, will try them out later :)
steph12Participanti mean near/far z3D depth weight not strength.
steph12Participantyes, but it’s a good step in the right direction ^^
steph12Participantnice, thanks man ! :)
steph12Participanti played the whole game in immersive screen mode in Z3D without this first person mod which is not playable.
you can tweak ini to get a custom FoV, i had something set like 120.
it was totally amazing !! best batman experience ever.
here’s a guide to know how to set your own FoV

btw i played the whole game with keyboard + mouse because gamepad conflicts somehow with headtracking, it was neat anyway. and i used f11/f12 to swicht FoV on the fly.
steph12Participantyes, but as it stands right now, it’s perfectly playable.
steph12Participantsadly no.
most VR games (if not all) with vorpx are using mouse movement for headtracking.
steph12ParticipantRise of the Tomb Raider seems to be another victim of recent updates adding openvr_api.dll to it’s directory. This disables steamvr access somehow.
Unlike with the Source games, removing the dll in this case refuses to launch the game at all. Again, probably something to look into if this trend among games continues.
Fortunately, I encountered a workaround from a post mentioning that RotTR is one of the few games on steam that lets you roll back to previous game versions. I gave this a try and it seems to work just fine.
Right click the game in steam for properties, go to Betas tab, and choose a build (I chose recommended 753.2).
After a quick update (that also happens to remove that pesky dll), vorpX should hook fine.
Hopefully the new TR coming this week will work ok. Looking forward to it.
thank you very much for the workaround, much appreciated.
steph12ParticipantUpdated profile is now available. Make sure to update vorpX to the latest version 18.2.5.
I can’t thank you enough for this Ralf :)
steph12Participantamazing ! thank you very much Ralf :D
WoW here i come ! hahaha :)
steph12Participantyou are very welcome :)
steph12Participanthi, there is a section to rebind commands in vorpx configuration rebind section.
steph12ParticipantRJk_ you are on fire mate :)
that is very impressive what you are doing for Vorpx community, thanks a bunch for your continuous effort !
