KeymasterYou can create a trouble shoot data archive with logs and system infos in the config app and send that via mail to support at vorpx com.
Ralf
KeymasterThat should definitely not be the case. I’ll check tomorrow whether maybe a recent game update has broken some shader definitions and let you know. That can happen potentially when shaders are changed in a new game version.
What you could check right now if you have mods installed is whether the issue also occurs without mods. A mod causing the issue is another possibilty.

KeymasterAFR 3D is implemented by manipulating the game’s camera in this case not on the Direct3D level, so except for the TAA shimmer it can’t really introduce glitches that aren’t present in the game engine itself.
The hotkey sounds like a good idea.

KeymasterI have changed your mail address to the one you used to register here and resent your key.
Let me know if it still didn’t reach you.

KeymasterUnfortunately the method comes with inherent issues that have nothing to do with „when done properly“. If you guys consider that good enough, I‘ll follow, but you should be aware that AFR 3D is more of a stopgap than anything else. Some of the problems that arise from rendering each eye at a different point in time can be tricked away under certain conditions, others can‘t. If this really was a good way to do 3D, everyone would do it all the time just because it’s so much easier.
Ralf
KeymasterCurrently not, but I’m considering to implement something like that in a future build. No promises though. That’s not trivial to do since for vorpX the desktop viewer is largely just an application it hooks into, and settings are stored per application.

Keymaster@ Ilfrinam :
Which 3D method is available heavily depends on the game, some support G3D and Z3D, others are G3D or Z3D only and some in addition recently got an AFR 3D method that works entirely differently than the (technically way more complex BTW) usual 3D creation. So that isn’t really possible. However, since alternate frame 3d recently gained more popularity than I think it actually deserves, there probably will be an AFR option for the ‘normal’ vorpX G3D too in a future build.

KeymasterDon’t want to dive too deep into the stereo/non-stereo debate since judging from experience that is a sensitive topic for some, but stereo vision is indeed just one of many cues our brain derives depth from, primarily at close range. The farther away something becomes, the more 2D cues take over. After about 15m or so there isn’t really much of a difference anymore at all between the left and right eye image, so for anything farther away 2D cues take over entirely.
About 10% of the population have either no or severely reduced stereo vision for various reasons, they entirely rely on 2D depth cues.
Fun fact: before VR became affordable, even (few) monoscopic VR headsets existed. More cost effective and less demanding.

KeymasterI’d not really recomment that, but you can try if you disable the mod portion of the GTA V profile. That will of course disable all advanced functionality the mod offers, but it would allow you to play online. At your own risk! Last time I tried I could log into GTA5 online that way, but RockStar may decide to consider vorpX a cheat any time.
To disable the mod portion rename/remove C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\plugins\vpxGTAV.dll.

KeymasterPlease reinstall vorpX using the web installer. Early December I uploaded a small update that fixes an issue when entering cars in GTA V. Didn’t want to raise the version number just for this single fix, so you didn’t receive it automatically if you already had the latest version installed.

Keymaster@ Jey123456:
If you have in-depth knowledge of shader programming, you can modifiy individual shaders. Currently DX9 only though and the feature isn’t really ready for primetime in any way currently, got somewhat stuck in early alpha state a year ago or so. But you can toy around with it if you want. Brief instructions are in the help (‘Shader Swapper’). None of that is final though, the whole feature is not production ready at all.
You’ll need an authoring key to use it currently. If you don’t have one, select one of your custom profiles in the config app, click ‘Request Authoring Key’ and follow the instructions.

Keymaster@ Destroy: should work fine with Z3D instead of G3D. BTW: Farming Simulator 22 is the better one for vorpX (or FS2017 for that matter). FS2019 has a weird judder-issue that neither 17 nor 22 have, where it looks as if once per second or so a wrong frame is shown in the headset.

Keymaster@ drowhunter
You shouldn’t actually see a window, only an icon in the taskbar. Just in case: the desktop viewer does not work with the ‘Generic VR Headset’ selected in the vorpX config app. It only works with ‘OpenXR’, ‘SteamVR’, ‘Oculus’.

KeymastervorpX opens an OpenTrck instance when TrackIR is used. You should see its tray icon in your taskbar. When you open its user interface, you should be able to adjust the sensitivities. Caveat: I don’t recall currently how I implemented loading the settings on launch, so I’m not sure whether these changes will stick between sessions.
Ralf
KeymasterIf you happen to have a multimonitor system, try without the secondary monitor(s). Not really sure what else to suggest, sorry.
Normally vorpX captures the Windows cursor with the desktop viewer and you should see it on the screen.
If you want, please create a trouble shoot data archive in the config app and send that to support at vorpx com. Unlikely that it will contain something that helps to immendiately solve the issue, but maybe it helps me spot something I can use for addressing your problem in a future version.
