The Nativ VR Scene will love that, and Vorpx will get many new user.

The next step to beat up “the new miracle vr mod devs”, is a feature to support Alternate Frame Geometry 3D in user profiles in the shader authoring tool.

After that we need the last step, which could be the “First Person” or “nearly First Person” Mods option in all Third Person games. (like cheatengine does it !)

After that all competing vr mods are obsolete !!!

    I’m Team Vorpx !

But in the future we need DX12 G3D too, and a first step could be to develop it for the unreal engine 4+5 only !

    New Profiles ???

I uploaded a quick and dirty profile to the cloud, it’s named ‘Unreal 5’. Immersive screen with a bit of head tracking, which is nice for flying around.

The Ironman demo wasn’t downloadable (limit reached), the profile was made with this Superman demo. Not 100% sure whether it will work with the Ironman version, but that’s quite likely.

Hint: Works reasonably well at 2560×1440 with an RTX3080. At least the Superman version doesn’t seem to have an official way of switching resolution though. If necessary set the desktop res to the res you want to play the demo with before launching it for better performance with mid tier GFX cards.

Hey guys! After 2 days of messing around, i finally found a way to play Unreal Gold in Stereo3D.

Nothing worked at first, not the RJK profiles, nor the slydk1982 ones (no stereo3D). But what did work was a cloud profile by dimensionaldude (for OpenGL). Very clean, great 3D, quite natural scale, almost no distortions. But the downside is that some things render very very close: the HUD, the coronas, the mountain backgrounds (those low res textures with the alpha channel).

I guess that those elements are rendered by the same shader (?), so i want to try and position them farther away. But how? I already tried setting HUD Depth in VorpX to max, but it didn’t do anything.

    Any ideas?

i successfully performed the procedure to install the first person mod, but the game crashes after launching it

I wasn’t able to follow the tutorial either, my game kept on crashing as well. Instead of using Unreal Mod Loader and Fallen Order Mod handler, I used Fallen Order Mod Loader instead from https://github.com/RussellJerome/FallenOrderModLoader/releases and it worked!

Give it a try! Haven’t tried VorpX with this yet, but will in a short while.

I have setup Vorpx for many games without official profiles. The trick is to research the game engine (Unreal, Unity, etc) and the graphics API (DirectX, OpenGL, etc) for the game, and then find an existing profile based on a game that matches those two criteria and try it out. Since game engines and API have different versions you want to find an existing profile made around the same year as the unofficial game for which you want to setup a profile. I only play games in geometry 3D (not Z3D) so I look for profiles in which they claim it has G3D (geometry 3D).

For example, the latest Unreal Directx 11 (maybe 12?) profile I found people talking about on the forum was made for Medieval Dynasty and it works for Ranch Simulator and Bus Simulator both of which are Unreal DirectX 11 games made around the same year as Medieval Dynasty.

Some good profiles to start are:
Ark:Survival Evolved – Unreal Engine (2019 and earlier)
Medieval Dynasty – Unreal Engine (2020 and later)
    Firewatch – Unity Engine

It’s been documented that although you can hook Days Gone with an Unreal 4 profile and it will say Geometry 3d unfortunately there is no 3d

And this has been true, today I managed to hook using the “Abzu” profile and I get Geometry 3d

But the colours are messed up

I will work on it and see what can be done

Just throwing this info out there in case (or rather in the hope 😂)

That others more knowledgable than myself can get this off the ground.

The first person mod was updated and…..damn….needs vr

Don’t use the latest version of “unreal mod loader”

    Use this one

Unreal Engine Mod Loader V2.1.0 from the GitHub

    https://github.com/RussellJerome/UnrealModLoader/releases

    Sorry….i should have said that

so, i used cyberpunk2077 profile first, with dx12, zadaptive only and without g3d. I didn’t like colors and have had significant frame drops multiple times. Then I used the Observer profile, with dx11 (you have to add the start command -d11 in the steam options or create a shortcut to the executable, modify it and always add -dx11. Also in this case, despite having the g3d, you don’t have 3d effect and creates problems with dlls but in zadaptive it works much better than dx12 and has better colors. pity you can’t change the fov of the game and hands

you can change fov game using https://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/ or even unreal unlock engine tool maybe.

Im hoping that with the new Pinball FX using unreal engine we can get it to work with Vorpx. RJK¨s profile for FX2 is pretty damn good but obviously its allready been abandoned for a long time and I only play it for the tables that aren´t ported to FX3.

Not a fan of the idea to buy tables again since none of the tables carry over from FX3… But I still have bunch of tables that I don´t have in any previous FX games (mainly williams tables) and with the possibility to play them in VR with vorpx I might buy some tables again if the price is reasonable.
But if pricing of the new Indiana Jones table is any indication of future Im not optimistic at the moment.

    Hi all,

anyone succeeded to run Deus Ex Invisible War in any kind of 3D (G3D preferably)?

There is neither official nor user profile.

The game runs on Unreal Engine 2 (DirectX 8 according to MSI Afterburner).

I was able to turn in into DirectX 11 via dgVoodoo2 2.6 and tried a couple of Unreal Engine 2 / dgVoodoo2 profiles (e.g. Tom Clancy Rainbow Six 3). While vorpX hooks and dgVoodoo2 is working correctly (I can see both watermarks), there is no 3D.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks.

I have a question, too regarding my installation. I have an RX480 and i5 6300 @3.2 GHz / 16GB RAM and try to run it on an Oculus Quest 2.

After installation with nothing changed, v-sync is off, I only see a screen in a virtual room and IDK what to do, it’s not 3D, head movements are not tracked and everything is just veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow. haha. I guess my hardware is not enough for this mod, right?

In 2001 I made my own VR headset from a TV-Glass combined with a IR headtracker I had to mount on the monitor and then played unreal turnament and even this was faster. Ah damnm. I hope I am just doing something wrong here. Problem is all these settings doesn’t tell me anything. I Guess I need to do some additional research.

Also should I turn off the Guardian?

However, thanks in advance and Happy new year, und guten Rutsch! Whoop!!

    @Ralf

I hope that the future of DX12 profiles will be Direct3D. Is it possible for you to modify step by step the most important engines to support Direct3D by Default ? The modding part will be still the job of our community, such as in the past in DX12 Z3D profiles, but we need Direct3D !

    1. Unreal Engine, CryEngine, Unity
    2. Frostbite-Engine, Anvil, Snow Drop
