No problem here with the latest Defender definitions, but you can get a new download from the link below.

BTW: You can find answers to common questions like this one in the support FAQ.
Hello to all . Surely many will shoot it, but I discovered, that Prey 2006 is now an abandowares, and it is free to download, (just search with google for the link). but above all I discovered that with vorpx it works damn well !!!!! it has a g3d that works really well, plus it hooks perfectly with the default vorpx profile. It seems almost unbelievable that it is a game from 15 years ago, compared to some games today that are sold for 30 euros! If you happen to try it !!
I had hoped Ralf might have replied by now. I guess if it’s a problem, please remove the link.
dxgi.dll on privfile.com (it should last for a month this time)
password: vorpx
Sounds as if the Oculus PC sofware is not installed. That’s a requirement for vorpX to work with your Quest. If you already have it installed, please reinstall in case the install is broken somehow.
To install the Oculus software, go to https://www.oculus.com/setup/ and download the Oculus Link software.
@luka2099,
Thank you very much for the information and guidance.
Unfortunately, it did not work. I tried the following 2 methods:
Method 1
– Download game from Steam.
– Play game on monitor until I reach the first save point. Quit game.
– Place the dinput8.dll in RE2 game folder.
– Import default RE2 vorpX profile. Click on ‘Apply’.
– Start up Steam VR. Select play for RE2.
– Load up game save. Once in game, pressing INS does nothing to bring up the Mod Menu (looking at desktop screen in fullscreen and Windowed mode).
Method 2
– Same as Method 1 except when placing the dinput8.dll file in the game folder, I also place the Mode Menu files in the game folder.
– Starting up the game on desktop only (voprX and Steam VR are off) brings up the Mod Menu when pressing INS.
– Starting up the game with Steam VR and vorpX active allows the game to start, and looks good on the Valve Index, but pressing INS does not bring up the Mod Menu on the desktop.
Regardless of which Method, upon start up in vorpX, I get a message indicating the presence of a ‘unknown dll file’ that may cause conflict with vorpX.
vorpX is working fine regardless of method, but the 1st-person mod is working in desktop-only mode.
I don’t doubt it is working for you (especially when looking at the Facebook video you linked), I just can’t get it working for myself, using the above Methods.
Only takes a few minutes normally, it’s an automated process.
Make sure to enter the same mail address into the download form that you used to activate vorpX. The system does not send links to unknown mail addresses.
Also check your spam folder.
Hello guys,
I have the same problem. I thing Spyhunter might have deleted it.
I installed it to run a scan, but already uninstalled it after completed the scan and cleaned the PC.
The problem now is that I don’t have the installation file anymore. I wonder how long it takes for Vorpx support to send the link to download again. I have requested a few days ago and I am surprised that it is taking that long to send the link, it should be something quick I think.
Unfortunatly you will be on your own here. The installer from your link contains cracked software as mentioned on the download page. This may be the reason for the “AVP2Up.dll” and the missing lithtech entries.I would recommend buing the original retail game.
Thank you Ralf, I see my account has been updated and have the new download link. Much appreciated!
Hello,
I purchased vorpX a few years back now, and have used it through the launcher ever since. I’m on a new rig, and need a copy of the installer.
I registered with an email address which is no longer active, so I cannot receive the download link there. I still have copies of the old inbox, so I have my original registration req key, and a separate serial number.
Granted, the forums aren’t the best place to solve this, but I emailed support explaining the situation a few days back and am yet to hear anything, so wanted to raise it here in case any staff see it. Please let me know who to contact with the details/receipt to get it switched over, or at least grab a download link.
Cheers!
Hi,
The VorpX config executable has disappeared — like, it’s not in the folder; the start menu shortcut doesn’t work, and right-clicking the tray icon generates an error.
I can’t reinstall because the download link in the email has expired.
Please help.
Thanks.
I’m using the epic version.
Thanks for the link but it didn’t fix my issue.
The game does work fine in non Vorpx mode. I was also able to play Cyberpunk in Vorpx without issue.
Yeah, I realize that vram should not be a problem. I’m swimming in it! :P
I’m using the 466.11 Nvidia driver. Maybe I’ll try the same one you are using if you think it may help. If that doesn’t work I’ll download it again. Thanks!
Using DGVoodoo2 for a DX9 game requires additional steps https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/news-on-dgvoodoo-2/#post-176451 – https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/news-on-dgvoodoo-2/page/2/#post-192542
I suggest trying other DX9 profiles from the cloud before doing that though.
From that link: “– rename d3d9.dll to v3d9.dll”
All of my files are named Glide.dll that I downloaded from here: https://github.com/dege-diosg/dgVoodoo2/releases
Also, how do you know Rayman Legends is a DX9 game? I don’t know what profiles are DX9 do you have any suggestions?
The streaming application must be able to capture output from SteamVR or the Oculus Rift. Vorpx isn’t dependent on the streaming software, but it has to be able to capture the output from vorpx to those hmd clients.
If you want to be creative, your could set vorpx to stream to the generic 3d display and use a streaming app that can use the side-by-side output, but I don’t know if there are any apps that’ll do that for the Oculus Go – Maybe the AMD link?
Vorpx can’t convert movies. There’s no depth information in a video stream. There are applications that can do that, but they use an entirely different approach.
My apologies for the misinfo in my previous reply. I was unaware of ALVR, and kind of thought the Go had died after a short and unremarkable life.
no apologies needed! Im in the dark when it comes to this. I downloaded trial versions of some of the apps I mentioned but have not tested anything yet.
This link should help. Make sure to enter the same mail address that you used to activate vorpX originally.
I bought vorpX before but don’t have the web installer anymore.
Please request a new download link here.
