Already implemented for the next version. Someone else requested that a few weeks ago for another reason. The way it’s done the hotkey doesn’t change performance, but UI issues etc. can be resolved this way temporarily.

Not 100% sure yet whether customizable hotkeys will make it into the next release, but that’s definitely on the list too.

    Hello,

Like the vast majority of activation keys your key was sent a few minutes (six to be precise) after we received your request code. If it didn’t reach you, please contact support |at| vorpx com. In that case something did go wrong.

Always make sure to check your spam folder.

Also please always use the same mail address for the registration request that you used when you purchased vorpX. Otherwise the registration process might and probably will get delayed.

Well, I can zoom with keys – have it bount to one of the axles on my joystick, what I was talking about that proximity doesn’t work with vorpx, so while I can zoom with mouse-wheel, I can’t with oculus – or were you able to somehow bind that? Not clear from your post :) But nice to hear you managed to get this running! Fun stuff

How do you use it? Do you use 4.2.3 driver?
I tried everything but it simpyl wont start and gives an error. Do you run via steam or standalone?

This drives me nuts . I wanna play this with my rift.

Did you try zooming in and out with + and – keys on the num pad allready?

    Hi guys,

Came here in search of configuration tips for Alice and DK2. Not sure if your post is only relevant to the DK1, but when I replaced the F key commands with the ones you posted, the keys had no effect in the game. I’m also getting significantly and see with head movement. And the head tracking in general seems overly sensitive. If there is a better place to go for VorpX configuration tips, please let me know.

    Thanks.

    Hello

Having found the information on the forums for setting up Battlefield 4(which was very helpful), new layers of issue are now in question.

How can the in-game view reset function(shift+space) be rebound to a less used key such as one of the numpad keys.

Running in-game(shift key) and approaching an obstacle(wall, debris, ect.) requires a player to press the jump key(space), which resets the view, often changing movement direction entirely.

The rebinding of the screen peek function(middle mouse button) to a less used key would also be an appreciated option but is far less pressing or relevant to any game breaking issues.

I found a post, roughly a year old, stating that it would be in one of the next updates.

Well, Updates on this thing are painfully slow and with little documentation; so it might be that it IS being added in “one of the next updates”.

Unfortunately I don’t have proper advice for you on how to rebind it within VorpX, although there ARE rebinding options when you press DEL and go to the section with the Hotkeys.

I haven’t touched VorpX since I’m waiting for an update (atm this thing doesn’t work for the stuff I really wanted to use it for (arma 3)), but I believe there was an option to rebind certain keys internally.

Be careful though (and experiment after applying settings), as the bindings, as many other things, are bugged. In this particular case, certain Keys in the binding are SWAPPED, so you’re in for a surprise :p

Never heard of that issue before, and you surely aren’t the first customer from Spain. Does this happen in all games?

The key code for the DEL key should be universal. Which DEL key did you try? Normally the one above the cursor keys is the right one (probably named “Supr”), not the one on the numpad.

You should also the see the game already in Rift view (warped split screen). Otherwise vorpX probably didn’t hook at all and the menu can’t be opened because of that.

Also it should be possible to set some vorpX-keys manually. I have some games I have to run with gamepad emulators. Sometimes you activate with this emulators vorpX-functions like [shift+space], witch causes recentering of the vorpX positional tracking.

For example, I had this in Fallout, when you move the gamepad joystick forward, I set mine to slower movement in pinnacle [shift] and when I simultaneously hit the Y-Button for jumping, vorpX recenters the view unwanted.

Of course you can changing the binding of the controlls in the game itself, but I just wanted to mention it. Perhaps there are a few games out there, where this changing is not quite good possible.

Okay peeps.. I have a problema here. Maybe someone can help me out. So I can launch Arma 2 on the rift perfectly fine but when I get in game, I cant use the mouse to click on anything . All I see is the VorpX cursor but i can’t use that to click on stuff in Arma. I also don’t have an Xbox 360 controller plugged in so that can’t be the problem. The only thing I can do is use my arrow keys to navigate the main menu and my space bar to select things. When I go into the editor.. no cursor and I can’t place down units or anything. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how the heck did you fix it?

Hi there. I’ve tried to get Crysis working but to no avail.

It sort of worked initially but head tracking was disabled. Enabled head tracking and the game kind of broke itself. Couldn’t get it to work properly. VorpX overlay, but no 3D, even with 3D enabled in the control panel. Also the VorpX cursor enlarged and pixelated over 80% of the screen.

Also the built in VorpX gamepad handling won’t turn off again… I really hate this feature and don’t really understand why it needs to be there. Yes, you can use some VR hotkeys but I don’t want that, I want the game to handle the gamepad natively.

Heya, I’ll try it later and let you know~
But whether 2D/3D and with FOV change wasn’t really my concern with VorpX – the main problems are that:
1st. VorpX fucks up the main menu big time
2nd. VorpX fucks up the mouse cursor (meaning you have to use TAB and arrow keys to navigate the Arma3 menu)
3rd. VorpX zooms in quite a bit (quite a huge bit – in every game)

But like I said, I’ll try it with your exact settings later and report back :)

When you disable the gamepad in Skyrim and disable the the internal gamepad handling in vorpX, you should be able to use an external gamepad tool without problems.

The weird vorpx menu you mention is actually a pretty useful, but often overlooked feature called VR Hotkeys. When you press and hold [SHIFT]+[MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON] or in your case the left thumbstick, you can simulate key presses by looking at one of the 16 pads and then releasing the button.

This way you can execute keyboard shortcuts without having to look at the keyboard. For Skyrim a few useful shortcuts are preconfigured, but you can freely configure all 16 pads in the vorpX ingame menu to your liking.

    Hi,

I want to play Formula 1 2012 with my DK2 and xbox360 controller. But when I am inside the game neither keyboard nor controller keys seem to work. Setting “Handle gamepad internally” on doesn’t change that. Does any one have any Tipps on how to make this game work? Thanks

Tested and working with Operation Arrowhead as well. These are a little trickier to get looking good. Turn off post processing to get rid of the blur. There’s a utility you can use to get a wider FOV here and you can double tap “-” to get a wider FOV in game.

If you also have Track IR (have to enable it in game) you can use that in addition to the DK2 to add independent look vs. aim/move or for head tracking in vehicles… lots to experiment with in this one and what looks good on foot might not look good in a vehicle etc… A useful future feature for Vorpx would be the ability to have a few saved custom profiles we could switch between with hot keys so when either on foot or aiming down sight or in a vehicle we could easily toggle between the settings that work best for each. Hotkeys for in game adjusting of depth, aspect ratio correction and focal point offset would also be great so we can adjust the scene without going into menu mode where it’s zoomed out a little.

Anyway, LOTS of vehicles to play with here too. The helis are great with headtracking especially the little bird with the high visibility cockpit.

Anyone happen to have Day Z as well as I suspect it should work in Geometry 3d for that too?
