Thanks, Ralf. Something weird is happening, though. My test was with the default profile, but later i tried a cloud profile (Mass Effect 2 LE) with a Nexus save. It worked well, so i thought that the default profile is faulty (can VorpX discern b/w the original and Legendary Edition? The EXEs have the same names i think.)

But now i see that it can’t be the cloud profile, because it required me to rename the EXE, which i did *not* do. So, my conclusion is that the first time the default profile did not work, the second time it did.

I know that the LE doesn’t change that much, but many people bought it to get all the DLC, and personally i think that some artistic changes are for the better (colors, lighting etc). So, i think it would be good thing to support it. Since all three games are DX11 now*, shouldn’t they be able to work with one single updated profile?

    Hey everyone,

So i used this mod a few years ago and the modauthor ended up ‘hiding’ it on Nexusmods, making it impossible to download. Someone else made a First Person Mod – but they dont show the weapons in your hand, this one does, so it really turns Andromeda into a pretty incredible First Person Shooter. I did some digging over the course of the last few days and found a link for it that works with Frosty Mod Manager. I tried getting it to work with the “EA Games” app version of Mass Effect Andromeda and was unsuccessful – I then downloaded the Steam version of the game and got it to work.

It is actually quite well done and makes for a pretty solid first person VR experience.

Here is a short bit of gameplay so you can see if it might interest you:

Here is the link for the mod:
    https://mega.nz/file/AHQn2QIB#iLT-eh5oAmBtPd1bm1UQZa9D2Eauv7fWbEkMprelALo

And youll need Frosty Mod Manager to use it, its the option on the right, just click “Download” under “Mod Manager”:
    https://frostytoolsuite.com/downloads.html

Place the files into whatever folder you like for the mod and the Mod Manager. Run the Mod Manager in Admin mode. If youre using Steam, I had to select the “New” option on the bottom right and direct it to the game’s .exe. Most people will have that under Program Files(x86) – Steam – Steamapps – Common – Mass Effect Andromeda. Choose the file named MassEffectAndromeda.exe

Once youve selected that, it should populate on the Mod Manager’s main page, select the game and then on the bottom right of the Mod Manager choose “Select”

Now that you have the Mod Manager attached to ME Andromeda, on the top left corner there is an option to “Add Mod(s)”; select that and then just select the Mod’s zip folder, wherever you installed it; it should be called “First Person Toggle 1.2-771-1-2-1564773598.zip”

No need to unzip the file, the Mod Manager will handle that.

Now that you have the mod populated in the Mod’s list, select it and press “Apply Mods”, it should be near the center of the Mod Manager’s screen. Once its “applied”, make sure the box is checked in and then, from the Mod Manager, press “Launch”, toward the top of the window. It will boot the game up and apply the mod.

You can shift in and out of First Person by holding down on the Dpad of your controller.

Go ahead and get it modded and running properly, then use Vorpx to turn it into a VR game.

Hope you guys can enjoy, its alot of fun – I know the game gets a rough rap overall but the combat in First Person VR is realy quite exciting. I recommend playing the character with the “Charge” attack, but, make whatever you like – its just fun to be in VR and teleport like 40 feet at someone and get up in their grill with a shotgun.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It -MIGHT- work with EA’s Game launcher or Origin, but I didnt have success with it. If you try to get it to work with those and it doesnt – You can get “EA Play” on Steam for 4.99 for a month and make sure the game is up and running for you for just 5 bucks. But Vorpx has an official profile for the game – and while I found Geometry 3d to be glitchy, the Zadaptive and Znormal options look great.

    Take care folks!

Try to put it in the [vorpX]/Plugins folder alongside the vpxRDR2.dll instead. As far as I can see the Nexus download only contains the ScriptHook DLL, not the ScriptHook loader, it never gets loaded when you just put the ScriptHook DLL in the game folder. vorpX can alternatively load it from its plugin folder.

If that still doesn’t work, you have to wait for the official ScriptHook update from its actual maintainer as linked in my post above, anything else may not work fully. The actual author is the only one who can fully fix his library when a game update breaks it.

    Update:

The hacky ScriptHook update from Nexus doesn’t seem to support some functions that the vorpX mod utilizes for stereo 3d and head tracking, so no dice. Until an official, fully working ScriptHook update becomes available switching the ‘Play Style’ option to ‘Immersive Screen’ and ‘3D-Reconstruction’ to ‘Z Normal’ in the vorpX menu is the best workaround.

    Thanks for your answer.

The first time I tried to run RDR2 with vorpX I got an error that said the ScriptHook version was too old. But I found a new version on Nexusmods (https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/ud1c0j/comment/i6sinhi/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) and put it in my game folder. To my surprise it actually worked, the game launched with vorpX and the menus worked like it should. It’s just that I get these camera issues in-game. I’m wondering if it’s the ScriptHook I installed that is causing the camera issues, or if it’s something in vorpX or in-game? Like I said it’s my first time using vorpX, so I’m unable to identify where the problem comes from.

    some more progress today :-D

thanks to Ralf for the Suggested mod.

    works great.

    so,

i highly recommend these two mods for a better visual experience
be sure to backup original files and follow instructions.

for the FOV use the “super wide” .exe

    choose a 4:3 aspect ratio and resolution (i use 1600 x 1200)

right now Positional is still borked, textures follow your heads position so walls look like the 70’s show when Eric is high lol

one other issue I’m still facing is the Fog rendering in one eye only, so its now disabled, rely on audio cues to stay away from (the invisible) fog lol

will update when i can, others please take a look at the profile and fix what i cant lol

The ‘G3D FOV Enhancement’ option is unfortunately fairly useless in many modern games since it usually breaks too many things. There seems to be a mod though that let’s you set a higher FOV, better use that instead.

    https://www.nexusmods.com/ghostwiretokyo/mods/12

Caveat: from the looks of it it’s an .exe replacement, so the mod will require an update after each game update.

You are very welcome my friend, hopefully it can help people get an even better experience with RDR2 in VR than it is already.

I posted a link to this mod in another topic but i’ll post it here too as it is pretty handy: Skip legal screen mod – https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/28?tab=description skips the shotgun Rockstar screen & the two legal screens before the main menu, helpful for cutting down the time it takes to get into the game especially if like me the game usually crashes 2-3 times before working properly.

Edit: In the first post i mentioned two mods Bounties expansion & Bounty hunting expanded & enhanced, you only need the Bounty hunting expanded & enhanced mod as that is basically an improved version of the Bounties expansion mod, no need for both.

May have found a bug. When I set Cap FPS to off that setting specifically doesnt persist. Next time I launch the game its On again.

But on to other awesome discoveries.

    This mod

    https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/63?tab=files

It disables the forced TAA in the game. Download and install the ini file version (the second link in the files section) this will also cause DLSS not to work, but the trade off may be worth it.

Disabling TAA totally improves the image quality. All of the hazy ghosting that happens around the edges of objects is gone. The trade of is a bit more aliasing/shimmering but I’d take some crisp jaggy edges over fuzzy ghosting.

You can mitigate some of the aliasing by raising the resolution.

Ok guys, I have now the DEFINITE SOLUTION.

    Why a Definite solution?
Well, my first trick “did the job” but it has a HUGE problem: the launcher wasn’t passing to ME3 the proper command line, missing different languages! (you can only play the International version)

They key of this new solution is to create you very own Launcher that execute MassEffect3 with a different EXE name.

The definite solution is a little bit tricky but it works 100%

    1) Download the mod “Custom Launcher for Unlocking All Language Options” from NEXUS MOD: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/46

    — that custom launcher has been made with Autohotkey. The author has been so cool to include the original AHK file that let you recompile the custom launcher with your edits. This has been VERY IMPORTANT! Dont forget to thank the mod author–

    2) Download and install Autohotkey: https://www.autohotkey.com

    3) Open MassEffectLauncher.ahk from the MOD ZIP with Notepad.
    Find this line:

    RunWait % A_ScriptDir . “\..\ME3\Binaries\Win64\MassEffect3.exe” . Commandline . LanguageCommand . ME3Lang

    And replace it with:

    RunWait % A_ScriptDir . “\..\ME3\Binaries\Win64\MassEffect31.exe” . Commandline . LanguageCommand . ME3Lang

    4) Save the modified MassEffectLauncher.ahk file

    5) Right click in MassEffectLauncher.ahk file and select “Compile Script” overwrite if it asks.
MassEffectLauncher.exe should be recompiled with latest changes

    6) Go to Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\Launcher
    Rename original MassEffectLauncher.exe file
    Copy your now MassEffectLauncher.exe

    7) Go to Me3 install fodler (Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME3\Binaries\Win64)
    Rename MassEffect3.exe into MassEffect31.exe

    8) Use the new Launcher to start the game

    9) Enjoy VORPX!

New First Person Mod for GRW just released this month on nexus, and combined with vorpX G3D fullVR, it is now much more the immersive experience I have been hoping for! (thank you intifofo). See video for gameplay and simple install guide:

I have made some significant improvements to the old GRW profile (terrain textures and shadows are now correct in stereo, woohoo!!) and I’ve tuned it for best use with this first person mod. New profile now on the cloud for any to try:

Ghost Recon Wildlands + FPS mod (G3D) [dellrifter22]

G3D is very performance heavy in GRW, so expect modest settings and resolution with occasional frame dips. These are my recommended settings based on a 2080ti:

Game FOV is affected by aspect ratio, so for best results, create a custom resolution from the following and apply it in game.

    1333 x 1200 – performance (~40 fps)
    1600 x 1440 – balanced (~35 fps)
    1920 x 1728 – quality (~25 fps)
    2400 x 2160 – ultra (Z3D only)
    3200 x 2880

The Game also has internal render scaling in Video Settings that you can adjust up/down to find your own target performance.

    Game Settings:
    – Max Extended FOV to 100% in Video Settings and turn off VSync
    – AA = Temporal AA (adds blur to moving objects, but is the most stable image)
    – Texture Quality and Terrain Quality = High/Ultra
    – Shadow Quality = Medium, Long Range Shadows = On
    – AO = HBAO+, Godrays = On (both optional)
    – Draw Distance/Level of Detail/Vegetation = Low and everything else is OFF
    – Helicopter Controls = Classic in Gameplay settings (enables head rotation)
    – Increase vorpX Sharpen to max 2.00 in Delete Key menu

*HUD visibility is very customizable in Options and can be toggled on/off with hotkey
*AI teammates can be turned off in game settings if you want to run solo
*Performance Z3D is also available if you want more frames/eye candy
*tested on HP Reverb G1 with mouse/keyboard

A few effects that remain unfixed for stereo (distant water reflections, stars, clouds, and rain) have for now been assigned to the vorpX Shadow Treatment menu so that you can toggle them on/off to your preference (Delete key menu, Image Settings page).

One last suggestion to improve stealth gameplay: install the Remove Detection and Hit Sounds mod from nexus and turn the game HUD off. Now your awareness and infiltration skills will be tested.

Im my opinion are in games with FullVR support resolutions in a aspect ratio of 10:9 or 10:8 the best solution, because you will get a decent performance. But many other vorpx user prefer 4:3 Resolutions in first person games with FullVR support, because it’s a little bit wider. Turn off the vorpx option to change the resolution, and try to get the highest resolution which reaches 60fps. In G3D you can’t get very high resolutions, try for example 1620×1440 or 1920×1620, but i guess in Z3D you will be able to play in 2160×1920 or 2400×2160 with your RTX 2080 Super. The HUD is customizable in vorpx in game menu in the second page, but the the square resolutions lets the HUD be bigger, too !

But you can use mods instead of these settings, have a look here:
Most of the mods can be easy modified by yourself for your needs.

    1. Install the Developer Extras

    https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2972

    2. You can use the Cyber Engine Tweaks (CET) of Ralfs CP2077 VR Mod, but you have to set a Hotkey Binding for your needs to open the ingame menu.

My Binding is the Button “End” on my keyboard in the bindings.json in the CET Folder

    cet.overlay_key”: 9851624184872960

    3. Modify the following shader in the ingame menu

    Ambient Occlusion = off
    Subsurface Scattering = off
    Bloom = off
    Screen Space Reflection = off
    SSAO = off
    Async Compute = off
    Crowd SpawnLimit = 1
    Fog (All) = off
