I’ve lost the intended zoom value using Shift+mousewheel several times when trying to switch weapons (mousewheel) while running for cover (shift) in firefights. So I’m glad to see this changed.

I have been quite busy with relatives since Christmas, and now busy with reorganizing at work, so haven’t had a chance to try the latest updates. The notes have a couple neat improvements and games I look forward to trying soon. Thanks.

View model FOV is a bit closer than natural in CotW, but functions nearly the same as GTA5. You can even use 3rd person while driving.

Aiming with sights and scopes in G3D is always best used with the vorpX “preferred eye” setting. This lets you chose which eye will see exact center, so you can look down the sight with your dominant eye. It can help to close the other eye slightly, just like you would in real life aiming a gun.

You may need vorpX Expert Settings enabled to see this option in the delete key menu. Enable Expert Settings in the vorpX config app from system tray.

    😀👍

I was just thinking about this 20 minutes ago while playing ACOdyssey and watching cutscenes.

I hope the background setting might also apply to edgepeek, so that cinematics can be viewed with proper black framing.

Glad to hear it’s working. Don’t forget to use the FOV mod launcher for a better experience in WaW.

    Enjoy your new headset man.

Don’t have Contracts yet, but believe it’s till on CryEngine. You could try SGW3 profile, or some of the other recent Official CryEngine game profiles, like Prey.

SCUM is another one of those games that uses Easy Anti Cheat, which does not allow vorpX injection. See large list of EAC games here.

I was about to purchase and try this game over the summer, but didn’t. It seems like I read of a way to play offline singleplayer without EAC, but I don’t recall for sure.

If it weren’t for EAC, SCUM would probably work just fine with UE4 vorpX. I keep hoping one day we’ll be able to play EAC games. That list is growing quite large already.

Cool. Another good reason to own a Quest.

I got to try one with native apps over the holiday, it’s a nice bit of kit. The wifi streaming worked better than I expected.

I’m pretty put off by the comfort though, and could only wear it for 20 minutes at a time. Maybe some counter weight and strap upgrades would help some, but without I’m not sure it will be ideal for longer vorpX sessions. But still, this is good news for Quest owners.

One day we’ll get that ultra high res oled.

Thanks for the heads up. I nearly picked this up over the sale to try, but there are so many games. Next time.

I imagine terrain textures still look a bit off, something I hope we can fix with later additions to the shader tool.

I haven’t tried yet myself, but Beardo claims hooking is possible with the alternate exe provided for modding that disables EAC for singleplayer.

This is good news! When I heard EAC, I figured we were out of luck.

I believe Master Chief Collection is now Unreal 4 based, but not entirely sure. Beardo mentioned he has tried a few Unreal 4 profiles already, but so far no 3D.

When I get the chance, I’d like to try more profiles and run in through the authoring tool and see for myself. Perhaps Ralf may even take interest and get this working beforehand.

$10 on steam. You don’t need to buy the full collection even though the store tries to convince you it is required for dlc.

I was actually about to try Destiny 2 a few weeks ago, even had it full installed. But then Red Dead preload came around needing all of my hard drive before I got the chance to test haha.

I have my doubts, since reading about ban reports from people using reshade injectors.

I guess it uses an unfamiliar Umbra engine, so I’m not really sure where to start. Some say Black Desert is also on Umbra, that has a cloud profile, who knows.

But I would probably let vorpX try to hook it automatically (without assignment) first, to see if hooking 2D is even possible. Getting it to hook at all would be the first step, before finding a profile engine for 3D. It’s quite possible that some anticheat will stop you from ever getting that far though.

Would be pretty neat if it could work though. Sorry that’s not much help for now.

    Another night of adventure.

I found a couple of canoes along the bank high up in the mountains, and decided to see how far I could get down the winding rapids. It’s actually a pretty fun little VR experience in first person, navigating through rocks at top speed while observing the wildlife and scenery around.

I passed by deer forging the river, fish jumping, swarms of water nats, and dozens of ducks taking flight along the way (good for target practice if you like). My poor horse tried to keep up (running along the bank as long as he could), but couldn’t muster the courage to jump the first waterfall haha. The second waterfall was nearly the end of me, but I survived, jumped back in the boat, and rowed on.

Snacking on chocolate bars to keep my energy up, it was my misfortune to encounter a band of bounty hunters traveling the bank ahead. Yet by the time they recognized me, I was already passing them by. Their horses were slowed by the current, but the hounds were hot on my trail running alongside the bank. They jumped into the water and began to gain with impressive speed. I had to gun one down that had nearly reached the canoe before the others would give up the chase.

I made my way around Horseshoe bend and out into the open lake. Standing on the boat, I stopped for a bit of fishing as the sun was setting. Caught me a nice bass and rowed ashore. Having no horse, I walked up the hill to the nearby train station. Having just missed the train, I settled in for some late night poker with the fellas in the back room. Lost me a few dollars before making the starlit walk back to camp, finally rolling in just as the sun was rising. Just another day on the frontier.

Tomorrow’s task will be to track down my trusty horse, then earn enough money to pay off that bounty. Or maybe I’ll spend it all on ammunition instead.

Loving all the possibilities and extra details put into this game. My personal GOTY.

Assuming you can see the new thread: Code 1 always fails to post, Codes 2 and 3 work individually, but not together at once.

I just noticed a new FOV trainer now available on PCGamingWiki for Jedi Fallen Order.

Haven’t tried it yet myself, but it may make better fullVR possible for anyone interested.

If no other vorpX games hook, you may have anti virus blocking injection, or some other overlay program (fraps).

If you haven’t already, you’ll need to assign a profile to Jedi, as it doesn’t yet have a default one listed in local library.

There are two user profiles on the cloud you can import from for Z3D. Find these inside the vorpX Config app by logging in and search the word Jedi in the top bar.

It sounds like some are getting forms of G3D to work by copying profiles for Abzu and other Unreal 4 based games. You can copy Abzu from your local list and see how that works also.

The earlier discussion posted here, also mentions to disable Origin’s in game overlay, if you are playing through Origin.
