I would also like to see G3D support for FFXIV.

I have my progress just near the beginning of the story for the first Heavensword expansion, which calls me a lot of attention, although I have read that the later two are also quite good.

At the moment, I have my subscription “frozen”, due to several good games accumulated.
There is a profile for two great mmo at this time, World Of Warcraft (retail and classic) and Elder Scrolls Online, it would be really good to have this G3D FF14 profile at some point.

I agree with regard to the FOV / automatic zoom calculation, however, would it be possible to give us the optional possibility to increase it slightly even if this calculation was not completely accurate in case you want to use it manually?

I would not mind if it continues by default at the same current value, only the possibility of being able to increase it slightly due to some specific cases, even though FOV was not fully calculated with the same accuracy. (optional only)

As a secondary solution, I am also thinking about checking the box (Dont´t optimize game setting) temporarily, to try to solve this personal preference, and try to write or select a manual FOV value, but I am not sure if by doing this, allows or not to increase the zoom value, or something that could be even worse, maybe lose other possible optimizations needed.

If I could shed a little light here … I am so close to achieving this goal and the title interests me so much … that I cannot avoid digressing a bit in order to find any possible solution to this.
    Regards.

I just tried The Outer World with Vorpx for the first time on my Samsung Odyssey, and I am quite happy, even the interface is manageable. I am very grateful for this.

I only have some doubt and a small problem, which is probably easily remedied.

In the Game User Setting files for this title, I have tried out a 1920×1440 resolution for curiosity and it works for me successfully (game pass win10 version) the lower black band is a bit visible, but I feel that if I could increase only a little more the zoom value within menu vorpx, would be ideal and perfect for me because I feel that I still have a small margin for this without causing HUD / GUI problems, however, zoom is innecessarily limited without possibility of increasing value as in the old days.

My only request for this, please, unlock or allow to increase the value a little more if the user wishes. I find this also necessary for me in the title Metro Exodus, and I honestly do not like the software to force me to use a maximum of zoom below.

For everything else, a Fantastic JOB,and I am SUPER GRATEFUL with this 3D profile and all support.
    Regards

    -The Outer Worlds

It’s a great Obsidian first person rpg / action title,
I think he is a great candidate to enjoy with Vorpx.

Only one thing worries me in my personal case, subtitles are necessary for some languages, due to lack of voices for some of these, I don’t know if there will be a way to scale them or make them see on the screen in a fairly decent way without constantly pressing.

This is fantastic news for the creation and improvement of profiles.

    By the way Ralf,
Have you considered the additional possibility in this new update to release, the function to deactivate the black layer for lens distortion around the Vorpx symbol?
(“logo or watermark” is already possible, only the black part remains)

For users who are also interested in playing alternating from time to time on TV screens and VR headset, along with the new profile improvement info, I think this would already be the icing on the cake.
    regards

Exactly, 3d vision uses another technique by default.
However, in the passive TVs of my house… I can ensure that it works well by side by side.

From what I have been able to prove so far, I am practically convinced that it works, on any TV / projector with SBS support, active or passive through this technique sbs, which already seems to me something fantastic in the current times.

The only downside and suggestion, or request I have about it, is that I would like to be able to play, with a new general screens tab sbs, for Vorpx in a future update, without the need to have typical “barrel effect shader” active to lens distortion, since for this purpose it is not necessary, and if it can be deactivated, it would also have other advantages, for example:
Avoid any distortion, take advantage of a higher percentage of screen, and improve the overall image.

Even if a principle is not possible or is not the time, to allow
Shader improvements in 3D profiles, made by “shaderhacker” in the community, but having this basic support without distortion, to be able to use also with my traditional screens at home …
It simply makes Vorpx for my opinion the best and most complete tool related to 3D and virtual reality today.

PD: Personally, and regardless of whether Vorpx continues to focus on VR headset as the main use,
I am totally willing to make an extra payment for this functionality, or failing that, even a voluntary donation as thanks.

    here you go

    https://www.gamemodi.net/#hook64

i’ve been using it for teso for months and never been banned, i use it for FoV, tweaking rendering distances etc.

    works great with vorpx.

Ok,I just tried this mod and it can work, even with Vorpx.

My question is, what value for FOV with TESO is it advisable to write inside this MOD to use with a Samsung Odyssey VR headset?

If I get this correctly…TESO would be working on FullVR with Vorpx and headset for the first time, without the need to use immersive mode.
Otherwise, I prefer traditional 3D screen or immersive mode for Vorpx and VR headset with this title specifically.

    Perfect, deactivated successfully.

In this case, you just have to get rid of the black mask around in the game image.
This black layer loses a percentage of the size of the total image, otherwise perfect.

Can it be deactivated with a parameter similar to the logo?

I’m testing just out of curiosity other games on the random compatibility list, and my God, this is great.

I just need to be able to get rid of the typical shader effect barrel and black layer, around the Vorpx logo, because it is not necessary for traditional screens. For the rest, this is too good!

Please Ralf, if you read this, I beg you … try to unlock a new “generic” tab for this use with screens, I think it’s possible as a basic release without too much time around.
I just tried some games, and it works perfectly except for what has been said before.

There are some video games that require a lot of interface use, such as TESO, including World Of Warcraft among others, that I would like to be able to play on my 3D TV in this way.

PD: Even Vorpx internal menu is available as always, with the predefined key, which allows you to control 3D force among other options.

I think it deserves too much of a little time effort to release this.

Hi, I’m really interested in this.
Right now, I have two 3D Passive LG TVs (additional monitor and HMD) in this same room, to test any of the profiles, one of the two TVs is FullHD and the other 4k, both are passive 3D, and include 3D sbs and up/down among other types.

I just tried The Witcher 3 using Generic and selecting show in LG-TV in Vorpx Config-General tab, and they work perfectly.
I even believe and I would very much like this to become a new functionality for Vorpx, adding the corresponding tab. It is really fantastic to have this additional option.

The only annoying hit that I really need to solve, is that the games appear with the black layer around, believing that it is an HMD, but if we could eliminate this layer it would be fantastic and fully functional for me.

3D feels great on my 3D passive TV, selecting 3D sbs.

I understand, the situation may differ completely from one case to another.

After reading the essential notes, named 112 ° horizontically or 96 ° vertically,
I think this is a good starting point, this text has been of great help to me.

One last doubt more Ralf, on the improvement of additional FOV for 3D Geometry, that we have available within the internal menu Vorpx, has managed to save me several times with a small extra extra.

Is there a way that when we increase our value slightly, the image does not become more blurred?
can we compensate this in some other way?

Without too many technicalities, I would say that both solutions have their advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand G3D feels like real 3D, for me it is wonderful and impressive, being my preferred method.
I appreciate the relief of objects at short and medium distance and depth, and as long as my framerate allows it, I prefer to use this reconstruction. On the contrary it consumes enough resources, and Unfortunately…it is not always easy or possible to fix shadows and other effects perfectly.

On the other hand, Z-3D would define it as a simulated “3D” effect, normally it is quite less noticeable, although depending on each game, sometimes I can obtain more remarkable results, and sometimes not so much.
Particularly, I like it and it helps me a lot in open environments and I found some concrete examples in Vorpx, with very good Z 3d profile.
Z-3D does not have so many problems with shadows and effects, and one of its biggest advantages is performance, because unlike geometry, Z-3D consumes much less resources.

To cite some negative point, sometimes we can see a small halo or transparent bubble on the edges of certain objects, along with a less noticeable 3D effect.

In short, I love having both methods, and I need both if possible, to be able to choose accordingly, according to each specific case.

just a little doubt about Metro Exodus.

I would swear that before release, it was possible to disguise the black band below, however zoom seems to be now 90 in the vorpx menu.

Would it be possible to fill the image even more? I am happy with G3D now, but I would like more zoom control.

PD:Tested with Samsung Odyssey headset (Steam VR-WMR).

Due to the latest events that are related to 3D software, I am observing a large number of people (including myself) looking for solutions.

I think it could be a good time to consider at least the possibility of opening at least one SBS and / or top bottom output to use with passive 3D TVs, e.t.c. projectors.

I mean something simple and functional within Vorpx, to be able to complement with the use of VR headset.

For users who still like to alternate between VR headsets and TV screen / 3D projector for some videogames, these days are turning into a damn hell, thinking of additional system hard drive solutions with certain Win versions and drivers only so as not to lose the ability to play 3D … it is not practical at a general level.

However, I think the simple fact of adding to Vorpx at least one SBS output for the same games currently supported, even if it requires additional reasonable payment, could greatly expand the user base and offer a mixed solution without too many complications.

    This is just a suggestion.
