jjenssonParticipantThanks, guys. I’ll see if i can find some that suit my taste.
jjenssonParticipantOh, wow, thanks RJK – that’s a big relief. Unreal is one of my 1st PC games and without it i would be very sad in VorpX. :) (there are so many custom maps for it)
But i wonder, why Undying is not compatible. After all, it uses Unreal 1 engine. Has it been modified for this game?
jjenssonParticipantI just stumbled upon this. Now i’m curious and a bit confused.
1) I though that VorpX supports the old Unreal Engine games if you use a DX9 or DX10 renderer, no?
2) I asked in this forum about Undying, but i never got an answer. Now i saw the screenshot. So, i can play Undying & Unreal Gold on VorpX (w- DGVoodoo2)?. Is it 3D?
jjenssonParticipantPlease, Ralf, don’t remove the profile! Mankind Divided is one of my favorite games, i think in regards to presentation it is the best one of the Deus Ex games. I’d be heartbroken if i couldn’t play it with vorpX.
jjenssonParticipantCool! I hope my Index arrives by the end of August – looking forward to running vorpX with it.
jjenssonParticipantThanks so much, RJK_. Sleeping Dogs is one of my favorite games, and i’m glad that it gets the VorpX treatment it deserves.
jjenssonParticipantI agree that VorpX is what saves VR for me, for the time being. Almost none of the current native VR games is interesting to me. I’m not interested in demos, wave shooters and short experiences. I want long story driven games, expansive RPGs with exploration, things like Mass Effect, The Witcher, Skyrim, Half-Life (2), Unreal etc etc. We’ll have to wait for those for sure, but at least 2019 shows that VR is gaining speed now.
jjenssonParticipantCheck this:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17I07-RpOsVpc1XzswJ4zobAisT0ouoONXeNwGDjqDI0/edit#gid=0This is massively useful, thank you!
I hope this list gets maintained – bookmarked for reference.
jjenssonParticipantSo i take it, you have received yours, Ralf?
NVM: I saw the other thread. Thx for the headsup!
jjenssonParticipantI’m gonna look into VoiceAttack, thanks for the suggestion!
And i agree, SOMA is a masterpiece.Jun 30, 2019 at 10:24pm in reply to: Valve Index Knuckles and KatLoco/Cybershoes/Vive Trackers foot tracking mapping #185390
jjenssonParticipantYeah, i’m curious if Ralf has received his Index yet.
My situation is changing as well. With all the quality problems and unavailability of the HP Reverb, i might get a Valve Index sooner than a Reverb (i’m on the Index waiting list for Sep30, but it seems even some Aug30 guys are being processed for shipping ATM). So i’m following closely all the Index info/reviews around the net, as well as things on this forum.
Looking forward to hear more.
jjenssonParticipantCould you post a link to this interview, please?
EDIT: Found it – www hitc com/en-gb/2019/05/24/cd-projekt-red-cyberpunk-2077-vr-support/
jjenssonParticipantYou’re right. I just looked up Vulcan compatibility and it turns out that even nVidia 600 series support the API.
Luckily CP2077 will be so crazy popular that in case it doesn’t work out of the box, Ralf will get flooded with requests and will have the justification to invest the time. :)
I’m not opposed to paying for big upgrades either, as long as they’re optional and don’t occur too often (every 3 years is a good compromise IMO).
jjenssonParticipantYeah, HP need to clean up their act, it’s getting ridiculous. Luckily, i’m living in Germany and have good return policies. And who knows when my Reverb will arive, could be July or even August, quality control will hopefully get better until then.
That said, the majority of the reviews are positive and issue-free, so i’m not that worried.
jjenssonParticipantGood to hear this info, as i’m one of those guys who got greedy for resolution and had to return my Rift S. Now i’m waiting for my HP Reverb order. :)
