Participantfrom my perspective Vorpx has integrated the sharpening part of FSR whereas lossless scaling has that AND the upscaling tech to boot.
TLDR: No better way to apply FSR for vorpX than using the Clarity setting.
Thanks for clearing that out and adding fsr into core program.
Low: Default (bilinear) scaling with FSR sharpening
Medium: FSR scaling with FSR sharpening
High: FSR scaling with FSR sharpening + texture detail enhancementThis needs to be added somewhere in vorpx to clear things out better, I dont think Ive seen it explained anywhere in program itself.

ParticipantDidnt read it through properly first time and was disappointed.
This only works if you use reshade super3d apparently and then vorpx desktop viewer. Since usual vorpx hooking will stay at whatever resolution game is running and ignore changes lossless scaling adds.
It would’ve been great but vorpx desktop viewer for some reason runs much worse for me than actual program, plus its limited to screen refresh rate.

ParticipantAh yes, that’s always a choir, especially finding profiles for new games – not forgetting to check alternate hooking, hook helpers, full screen/windowed, normal hooking if alternate was left from other day, ugggh
I knew rerelease was already built upon dx11, but when it failed few times to hook, I thought, oh well migth as well and it worked with 0 issues.
Sad that reshade crashes the game if attempted to pair with vorpx in any way (plus itz z3d so they wouldnt have worked together anyways), but especially near the end of the game some areas look absolutely amazing using everything tech of that time could provide visually.

ParticipantThe game from 2021 doesnt need any additional downloads or DGVoodoo2.
I thought that too, yet vorpx refused to hook to it without it

ParticipantYour website is superuseful when finding a profile for a new game yourself since I can see all games on same engine that have profiles (some from the list are absent from the cloud for whatever reason), but I dont think many people choose games to play based on “has a vorpx profile”, more like a person decides to play a game and then checks if that game has a profile on the cloud just in case.
Though if considering replaying something ancient, I would go and check game list, but again that is not a use case for such website.
I think what people would appriciate more is a website where you can enter your email and a game you want to see a profile for or search it from the list and vote to request a profile for it. Then when someone makes a profile for it – everyone who wanted it would be notified.
This way you or anyone else interested in making profiles would know what to work on and people would be more satisfied than notification of every new game.
Thought if you were to make such a website adding an option to notify of all new profiles would be just a bonus feature you can have at the same time.

ParticipantYe, I have been asking for depth debug view in random threads too. Super useful to check if depth is actually there (since brain can play tricks on you) and how well its working.

ParticipantCloud profile works just fine, you just need to download this
(Put contents of …\dgVoodoo2_75_1.zip\MS\x86\ to …\Blade of Darkness\bin)
And first person was always in the game, even when I had it on CD
I am replaying it in vr and it works quite nice in 4k resolution with 160 fovSmoils
Participantare you trying to record a fullscreen game?
With obs you can try to set game to borderless or you might have issue with tiny setting inside capture module properties (especially on w10) called capture method – if its automatic or BitBlt (w7) it will not show picture.
Additionally you can start steamvr/oculus mirror, set OBS to capture that and then run the game, even fullscreen obs will take recording data straight out of mirror window, so it wont matter what is shown on a monitor.

ParticipantIt is possible but only g3d, z3d will be overridden by other shaders.
This however has more impact on performance than desktop use and you will need the vr hacked reshade dll to use (I only know reshade works, though there was vr enb for skyrim)
As for d3d9 conflict sometimes vorpx complains about it but works, sometimes it makes a game crash, sometimes you are able to rename it to any other dll to work. There is a list of dll names that windows applications load by default and with these post effect tools you can use those to make game hook post fx tool while not having vorpx complain.
All in all you have to try it yourself and success can vary per application and your dedication on trying to make it work.

ParticipantYes, but was there any level of sharpening on by default before?
New method is either so amazing, that “off” looks horrible or I have never seen unsharpened game before (if some level of sharpening was always on by default before cas).

ParticipantWhile its related to this topic @Ralf – How hard would it be to have a button/option in UI when using Z3D to switch to depth buffer view for debugging purposes making profiles for non-official games?
Smoils
ParticipantLast thing Ive read from Ralf was that he had back and forth with EAC team and its basically up to him to provide them with some things they need to whitelist vorpx, but he didnt explain how long it would take, is he willing to share what they ask etc.
Long story short – no luck.

ParticipantWhen you make posts like these on forums “solved” is the worst follow up. Ive read so much angry comments of peopel looking for solutions to their problem and then finding someone with similar one of ancient forums with only “solved” as a solution.
Since I know how you did it I will just put it here:
“Solved” = “I had to empty the cache and then do a direct scan and it fixed itself.”

Participantyou can try making your own profile based on other UE4 games

ParticipantFixed: Saving shader definitions did not work under some circumstances.
this was driving me insane (it is indeed fixed)
